Captive male 29.1cm L * 21.7cm W

My partner suspects porcupine. We've never seen anything like this before hahaha! Are they right?

my mom found this skull on an island, said it was called Dog island. anyone know what bird it belongs to?

Hi everyone! I'm very, very green when it comes to bones. I recently found a seller who offers "legally harvested Idaho wolf bone sold under Idaho Fish & Game permit" (quoting directly from their website). I'm tempted to make a purchase, but I'm based in California and I don't know if it's legal to own those specific bones here. My own research didn't lead me anywhere, either (I learned that I can't own a pet grey wolf though).

If there are any CA collectors or others familiar with the legality of grey wolf bones state-to-state, I would really appreciate your help!

Friend found this while hiking in south east california, neither of us can tell what animal let alone what kind of bone

Me and some friends where hiking near Santiago de Chile and we found this. To me it looks like the distal end of a rabbit femur, but my friend keeps insisting it’s a bird bone. I’m not sure at all tbh. Can someone with more experience help me to id the species?

I know some but I stopped bone hunting around 2 years ago and they all got
Jumbled moving around. Looking for the sacred knowledge. All found in the northeast but they are definitely all common species around North America.
