What If WoW Had Taken a Completely Different Path?
What If…?
What if we looked at WoW Forever through the lens of What If…?
What if an Orc ruled Stormwind, while a human ruled Orgrimmar?
What if the Dwarves and Gnomes had swapped Ironforge with the Trolls and Tauren, who would instead call Mulgore their home?
What if it hadn’t been the Orcs who invaded, but the humans who came to Azeroth as invaders?
What if humans and Orcs had been part of the same faction all along?
Or what if there hadn’t been just two factions, the Alliance and the Horde? What if a third faction had emerged, just like the three-way conflict in StarCraft?
And what if North American, European, and Asian servers hadn’t been separated at all? What if the entire world played on one truly global server? I think many of us would gladly put up with some ping issues and latency for the chance to share the same world with everyone.
Sometimes, I wonder if we’ve lost sight of what makes an MMORPG special.
It’s not about how much damage you can squeeze into a rotation to prove you’re better than everyone else.
It’s not about getting that one must-have piece of gear at all costs.
It’s not about reaching max level as quickly as possible, or progressing faster than everyone around you.
Maybe none of those things were what I truly wanted from WoW in the first place.
Maybe all I ever wanted was to play WoW alongside people from all over the world and share the little things in our lives.
What did you have for dinner last night?
Is something weighing on your mind?
Did you find a pretty little rock while walking down the street today?
I want to hear about those things, too.
I want to sit around a campfire in Azeroth, talk about the ordinary things happening in our lives, and share a world with people I’ll probably never meet in person.
Not because we have the best gear. Not because we’re the strongest players. Not because we reached the endgame first.
But simply because we’re here, in the same world, living our own little adventures together.
Maybe that’s the kind of WoW I’ve been looking for all along.
I didn’t just want to play a game with the world. I wanted to share a world with the people in it.

WoW Forever Was Supposed to Be Different — Stop Flattening Class and Racial Identity
#WoW #Forever was supposed to be different, right?
Then why not start by listening to what players have been asking for over the years? These aren’t even complicated changes.
Give Orcs, Trolls, and Undead the option to stand up straight. Let players choose whether certain pieces of armor on Trolls and Undead are visible or hidden when they currently get covered up or don’t display properly. I want to see my Troll wearing actual boots!
And what about all the weird tricks and creative workarounds players have discovered over the years? For example, Tauren players used to move from side to side to keep the Plainsrunning speed buff active.
Look at Crimson Desert, developed by the Korean studio Pearl Abyss. Players discovered a technique that allowed them to travel quickly through the air, almost as if they were flying. Instead of removing it, the developers embraced it, added animations, and recognized it as a legitimate technique for players to enjoy.
Now compare that with Blizzard’s track record. It often feels like they can’t stand seeing players laugh, have fun, and enjoy unconventional ways of playing. They keep removing these things.
Seriously, is Tauren Plainsrunning such an overpowered ability? Tauren players are already a small part of the player base, and the speed bonus gets interrupted as soon as you’re attacked. It’s not some extraordinary ability that breaks the game. Once you get a mount, you barely need it anyway.
And what about dungeons and raids? Are you going to run ahead of everyone else by yourself? No. You move with your party and fight mobs one by one. In those situations, this ability offers very little practical value.
And that’s just one example. There are so many more.
Please, stop trying to standardize everything in the name of balance. Give each race its own identity and make each class feel genuinely different.
Look at other games and see how excessive balance patches have gradually stripped away what made them fun in the first place.
My character doesn’t have to be strong forever, but it shouldn’t be weak forever either. There should be moments when a character shines and moments when they struggle, depending on the situation and environment. That’s what real balance should look like.
If every class and race ends up with standardized DPS, standardized crowd control, standardized debuffs, and standardized dispels, then what’s left to make each one unique?
What, exactly, will make WoW Forever different from every other version of WoW if you keep making everything feel the same?
Please stop chasing perfect numerical symmetry. Embrace asymmetry, racial identity, class identity, and player creativity. Let players discover unusual tricks, experiment with unconventional strategies, and have fun in ways the developers never anticipated.
Balance shouldn’t mean making everything equal. It should mean giving different strengths and weaknesses a reason to exist.
WoW Forever has an opportunity to be something different. Please don’t waste it by repeating the same mistakes.

Buff the Weak, Don't Nerf the Strong!
The more Blizzard keeps nerfing skills and racial abilities in WoW Forever, the more players they’re going to lose.
It seems like, in the name of “balance,” all they know how to do is make good things less good and mediocre things even worse. If one race has stronger racial abilities than others, why not buff the weaker racial abilities of the other races instead?
If Blizzard keeps nerfing things over and over, WoW Forever will eventually become no different from Retail WoW. And if that happens, what’s the point of playing Forever in the first place?
Does Blizzard really not understand what players want? Is nerfing the only thing they know how to do?
I’m already considering getting a refund for my beta access pass.
If this constant cycle of nerfs continues even after the official launch, I honestly think I’ll quit after just one month.

World of Warcraft I like the new Arcantina Mug but... It's not 20oz like like description says.
It's actually 16 oz which isn't a refundable offense or anything but the description of it on the shop is misleading.

World of Warcraft A Concept to keep professions relevant Forever in World of Warcraft: Forever
Hey everyone!
@Blizzard, here’s an idea for you!
Everyone keeps wondering: how do we keep crafting professions and low-tier dungeons relevant, rather than just using them for leveling alts?
What if...
In World of Warcraft: Forever, we introduced an equivalent of Heroic dungeons/raids, seasoned with the brutal spirit of Hardcore?
Here is how it would work:
Full-Loot Death: Dying in a dungeon or raid means losing all your currently equipped gear.
High Risk, Fair Reward: Rewards are slightly better than normal difficulty (say, 5–10% better stats), while the difficulty itself is tuned 20–30% higher.
Thriving Economy: Blacksmithing, Tailoring, and Leatherworking stay essential throughout the entire lifecycle of the game for anyone who wipes, rather than being discarded after crafting 1 or 2 pre-BiS pieces.
Resurrection with a Catch: Your character doesn't perma-die—you simply respawn naked at the graveyard at your current level, slapped with a harsh 12-hour debuff similar to Resurrection Sickness (e.g., Pain of Loss).
P.S Think about it! And hey, if you guys love the concept and want to show some love, hit me up—I definitely wouldn't say no to a free 1-year WoW sub :3

World of Warcraft Повышенная сложность рейдов в World of Warcraft: Forever

Discussion Looking for image of a zip up hoodie Blizzard used to sell
It was white, with cutie-fied images of Blizzard characters spread over it. I believe it was a zip up, and would have been available around 2009. A friend doesn’t believe it existed, but I remember wearing it to work at the time and being lambasted, as it was quite a loud piece of apparel. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!

Diablo Proposal for the future of D2R moving forward
Hi Blizzard I wish to feedback my ideas/suggestions w.r.t the future of D2/D2R?
#1 Diablo Legacy i.e. D1, D2 and LOD
My proposal: make barrier of entry to the world of diablo as cheap as possible to spur on more investment into it by players? Could also be crucial to those in less developed nations! For example my proposal is
D1 + D2 = Free To Play, possibly open sourced
LOD = $9.99 so basically for $9.99 one would get D1, D2 and LOD DLC
#2 D2R
a) As it stands/currently
Base game becomes "freemium" i.e free to play/try but with $9.99 (players already owned D2R in the past) one would get all the QOL of ROTW (w/o Warlock) Alternatively $14.99 USD (previous owners of D2R) or $24.99 (for brand new players) would unlock the ROTW DLC? The reason i suggest this is because there are those who supported D2R but choose not to go along with ROTW as they felt the $25 paywall for existing owners of Diablo 2: Resurrected is unfair? Users on platforms like Reddit and the Blizzard Forums have expressed significant disappointment over how these core game enhancements were handled.
b) The future
There could be a D2R 2.5 standalone. My pitch for it would be a world after Act 5 where Baal is defeated and "Dark Gods" arise! It would be called D2R : The Age of Dark Gods and includes an extended Act 4 with more waypoints, quests and new "Lycan" mercenaries who are shapeshifter melee class (werebears or werewolves with spirits working as auras) The extended Act 4 would introduce greater demons who would later be revealed as heralds for the Dark Gods who would dominate completely in a new Act 6! A new portal would open up @ the Worldstone Chamber after defeating Baal leading to Act 6? There could also be new mercenaries in Act 6. Lastly give crafts/rares a shot of adrenalin? The craft recipe has not seen any meaningful updates since 2000 and have updated recipes that could potentially make crafts/rares BIS rivalling current/future runewords/uniques?Maybe rethink what affixes can spawn on rares/crafts or make special properties like auras/O skills able to spawn on them?
Hope my suggestion/ideas were useful and cheers

Classic Games Founding of Durotar
This campaign was the best thing about Warcraft 3. If it was made as a standalone arpg akin to Diablo it would be the best Blizzard game ever made. Dream on.

New layout is objectively worse
New layout way more busy and shifts your focal point every time you hit play past 6 more in game shop advertisements.
I will be holding onto the old one as long as possible.

Diablo A tribute.
Here’s a press statement you can publish…
Dear Blizzard,
I know many many of your content creators and coders work really hard to make D4 a really great game.
I agree.
The Moloch amulet. See, I’m old, and I remember. Moh from a CHiPS episode circa 1979ish about a punk/goth/metal dude that had his amps stolen.
Best episode ever. I’ve had so many toons with that name.
Give your production and art staff kudos.

World of Warcraft Hello Blizzard friends! It is now the corre…
Hello Blizzard friends!
It is now the correct time to add murlocs as a playable neutral race, or multiple tribes of faction locked murlocs.
Just think of the utter joy on our shiny faces as we awake one patch day and discover we can be Murloc Monks deploying Fist of Fury against anyone we can reach!
Please include headbanging and RAISing OUR FLIPPERS TO THE SKIES as racial emotes or whatever.
Thank you so much!

Classic Games how many people does blizzard have working on starcraft remastered atm, anyone know?
There has to be literally no full time employees working on remastered at this point right? probably all hands on deck on new starcraft shooter in 2030 or sc2-3?
There's so many problems with the game right now. Almost unplayable right now. really buggy, servers are ass. extremely laggy the last few weeks.
Currently playing custom games/in house 1v1's and korean server.
Not even joking I would be willing to join as an unpaid part time engineer to help improve this game I've been playing for 25 years.

Starcraft II I made Warcraft and starcraft inspired rts and used Insect colonies as factions!
Insect Empires is a RTS game with 4 factions and 4 different base building gameplay styles I developed over the cost of 4 or more years and I would love for you guys to come try it out! I plan to release next month! Consider joining us and helping to shape this into something even better!
