Shikai: Kageneko (Shadow Cat)

Release Command: "Stalk from the shadows, Kageneko"

The zanpakuto's blade turns black and leaks to the ground forming the shadow of a cat; the hilt is left in Yoruichi's hand. About the size of Yoruichi in her cat form, this shadow cat will utilise a cat's stalk and pounce method of hunting to carry out stealthy assasinations. The shadow cat has no reaitsu and makes no sound with its approach but when it pounces out the shadow at the target it can be seen, sensed and heard but that happens so quick it's usually too late. The stalking phase requires patience due to the slow approach of the shadow cat in an attempt to not be seen and to conserve energy for the pouncing phase. Once close enough and in the enemy's blind spot the cat pounces out the ground, wrapping itself around the target and sinking its claws into the target preventing any movement. Once the target is immobile the shadow cat opens its mouth wide enough to take a lethal bite out of the enemy (size of mouth varies) killing them quickly and retreating to the shadow and leaving behind a body like cats leaves behind carcasses. For effectiveness sake, it usually chomps off the head of a target. It can only lock onto a single target at a time, so when it assasinates one, then it can move knto the next.

Bankai: Kyodai Hikaruneko (Giant Luminous Cat).

The entire sword glows a blinding bright white illuminating the entire area. Once the light subsides a giant glowing white cat appears behind Yoruichi. Unlike the slow and stealthy method of the shikai the bankai has a more head on unrestricted approach; the time it takes the shikai to assasinate ONE target the bankai would have been around the entire seiretei 5 -10 times tearing MULTIPLE targets asunder with its powerful claws and jaws. You can't destroy it with attacks as its form is being maintained by a flow of reiryoku from Yoruichi. The main issue with this bankai and its usage in combat is that it is EXACTLY like Yoruichi. It is moody, very independent doesn't necessarily likes being told what to do and as a result when summoned rarely cooperates with Yoruichi, but when it does lock in, it's basically an unstoppable force moving at the speed of light.

I have already read all the manga, and started rewatching just TYBW after we went on break, I’m on the last couple episodes now, got my alarm set early tomorrow morning to watch before work!

I can't be thankful enough with what CFYOW did for Luppi. Honestly, Luppi has become retroactively my second favourite Espada and one of my favourite characters even when years before I didn't think too much of him.

I have mixed feelings with CFYOW, as there are things I really like and other things I straight up hate. Narita's work in Bleach is like... Too strange? Bizarre? Weird? Written while high? But this is one of the things I loved.

Seeing Luppi reaching new heighs of power and having an all out fight against him even if that dismisses Mayuri's orders, forcing Grimmjow to go into Resurrección and spamming Gran Rey Cero from his tentacles was damn badass. Luppi had the chance of proving why he replaced Grimmjow before and fought him like a champ even after Grimmjow (in the novel) reached Vasto Lorde levels after all that time since the Arrancar saga.

Gotta say, that was my favourite fight of CFYOW and it's not only cool how badass Luppi was, but how it was shown how similar yet different are Grimmjow and how both of them perfectly embody destruction.

So, every quincy has a letter engraved on their Soul. That is a Schrift, however it is dormant without the aid of Yhwach blood (unless your a part of Yhwach's dad).

So, my question is, does a Schrift have an affect on how a Quincy's powers express themselves? I'm referring to when they're dormant. Do they subconsciously influence them?

Like would As Nodt always form thorns regardless if the Fear is awakened? Would Robert presumably be faster than others when using movement abilities?

Would Meninas be naturally stronger in the physical end?

Or, can a Schrift be developed as a self defense mechanism and used partially. Like when Uryu was about to be hit by the Auswahlen he subconsciously either swapped it to his mom or maybe switched to a future where it didn't target him? Maybe even as simply as for a brief moment, it turned off his own Quincy powers to save him.

Or looking at someone like Bambiette, could she make Reishi bombs? Not like the explosion transforming of the Explode, but instead form an actual Reishi grenade?

Hashbrown is a unique case so I won't bring him up.

Could Cang Du maybe have had a naturally stronger Blut Vein?

I think actually there was a theory floating around waaaay back that Yachiru was Kenoachis Bankai spirit, but it didn’t hold water since everyone else could clearly see her. Then TYBW confirms she minds is, which left people confused. Now it’s not explained, so correct me if I’m wrong, but rather than being kenpachis zanpakto spirit, she’s like Star, where he was lonely he split his soul into two completely separated beings. Kenpachi subconsciously did this to add to the 47 different self nerfs he gives himself to have good fights. So basically the same event, difference being kenpachi tore off a piece of his soul, whereas stark and lillientte use to be a completely unique hollow with a different name and identity. But I believe that’s the gist? I guess in the bleach verse if you’re feeling lonely you just manifest a little girl. Wouldn’t be my first thought but why argue with the number 21 espada and the strongest soul reaper, results are clearly effective.

Aizen was deemed evil in the anime for wanting to dismantle the entire structure of Soul Society and be the top of a new order. But now that we’ve learned about the real history of the Soul Society, I think the idea of wanting to just kinda take a do over on things is at least understandable.

Dark Souls was a fighting game on the DS. For the time it released it was great and had a ton of Characters.
