Hello! I am an upcoming female African (Nigerian) singer/ songwriter based in Canada 🇨🇦 (GTA). I’m looking to put out an independent EP (around 7 tracks. Maybe more🫣), including videos, sometime in December 2027 (about a year from now). I’m aiming to complete this project by working alongside women, queer individuals, and other open-minded creatives.I believe mainstream African music (Afrobeats) has been stagnant due to gatekeeping. There simply aren’t enough women and queer people in creative spaces (so we’ll make our own!!!).
This is a great way to bring young African women in music together organically to create, support, and inspire one another. My goal is to redefine what Afrobeats can be by rediscovering how our cultural music was created and exploring what it can become. This is completely a passion project, just a group of young African artists hoping to make an impact on African music and history. Please reach out if you’re interested! Open to people from all countries. This is an opportunity to gain experience as artists and collaborators while being in proximity to some of the most creative young African minds. Open to all creatives especially
