Has Napom or D-low ever been countered?
Has anyone ever been brave enough?

A TikTok vid here shows how different the live perception was to the online opinion: https://vm.tiktok.com/ZN8S3nF66/

I only caught a few snippets from the livestream and didn’t think it was that good (I can’t even rewatch it now yay).
But I also noticed that Scott really had to tell the crowd to make noise and all that, so I’m wondering how it was in person.
Was it the typical “no crowd audio in the live” fallacy or was it actually that dead?

...And might have had it for a long while, because I am pretty sure that I caught a few GBB24 vlog freeze frames where it is visible-ish...
Which is really cool and metal to be clear, want one myself and big up to the man. Although I am a bit shocked that I couldn't find any mentions of that basically anywhere.
Just a neat thing I wanted to share.
The screenshot is from Evil Resident btw...

A bit surprised to see Bizkit lose since on stream it felt like Bizkit took it but there could be something that happened live that the stream could not show. Does anyone know why Duncan won?

People "not really battling" during battles has been a point of concern, and it might reach the peak during GBB 2026.
I was so happy seeing Dlow as the main guy performing the art of beatbox battling, in addition to what was also shown during Wing vs. Codfish, where even if it's more like a battle showcase, they did somewhat show beatbox battling better than most other main battles.
But I think, instead of us expecting them (which are a lot of beatboxers) to battle properly:
actually platforming them where they can bring up their best routines each round, getting ready to be eliminated and without the need/expectation to answer specific rounds of an opponent, just like many other popular musical contests work, can really do a lot for beatbox.
Battle can stay, but is more focused. And we can even get the next Dlow/Napom/Alexinho-types of beatboxers better and faster and a lot more this way, since the criteria won't be too mixed up with the more musically-heavy stuff, enjoying battles more the way they should be enjoyed (like how we watched Dlow and Wing v Codfish in GBB26).
At the same time, we can have another "battle"ground, those who really want to show their contrasting beatbox music performance.
It can fit in GBB as well, since it can be considered a battle. We already accept track-heavy routines as battling anyway (see tag teams, crew, loops).
In this multi-elim category, there'll be less "originality vs copying" conflict. No one is expected to counter exact routines, or expected to merely out-loud the others, or expected to share exact same mic and sound settings, etc. Less judging conflict in deciding "who's battling vs. who's not" as well. Like Dlow said long ago, we can even get musicians/producers who are not beatboxers to also judge beatbox, and this category I think is the proper place for them to exist.
The thing that we might lose though is the "jack of all trades" expectation, which IMO is cool but also a bit overrated: It's rated highly because it's currently what's mainly out there, and there's less pure-elim event, and one can argue there's also less pure battling event (as there's always wildcard and elim-making, removing the truly talented battlers from the pool). Such more pure categories, especially the pure musical elim, might be rated more highly when platformed more, who knows, especially when the expectation is quite clearly different from battling.

During the GBB26 wildcard competition, he got 10th, one place away from getting into the original 9 wildcard spots.
Then in the GBB26 solo eliminations, he got 9th place, again, one away from reaching the top 8 that go into battles.
Now in the GBB26 7tosmoke, he qualified because Kaji dropped out, so my guess is that he got 9th in the eliminations, again, one away from the original top 8 that qualified.
Exallos is the new Improver 💀
