As a puppy he displayed some of this behavior, and it was in the form of being a tornado throughout the house - he grew out of it fairly quickly and has been fine for the last 2 years (he's just newly three). He used to be able to come along with me to work a couple shifts per rotation but recently got banned due to another dog's accident. Since than he has been an absolute menace - primarily screaming and crying for hours as per neighbours. Less than a week ago he ate through 50% the front door which is a first (he was only alone a short time too, about 30-40 mins). After that, I brought him to the vet and he got put on some type of anti-depressant and I have anti-anxiety pills on hand just in case he is ever alone a longer time period. A camera was installed and a gate to the door also installed. He still goes to daycare throughout my shifts so he's alone only 3-4 hours before he's picked up (I work very early) but seeing him on the camera panting, not sleeping/relaxing makes me feel really bad. I know it heavily relies on training that is done with them but does anyone else have any tips how to proceed/comfort him a bit more?

Our girl hopped out of a car window this morning as we were pulling into a parking spot at the dog park window was half down and she wasn’t buckled. I was too lax just going through our morning. Never again will I let her go unsecured. I swear half the time I’m trying to protect her from herself.

I didn't fully realize how drastic the change was until I was looking through old pictures today. I remember thinking Poppy looked like a little burnt chicken nugget as a pup; now she's just slightly crispy lol

Whenever she takes too long to get her butt on the ground, he gives her a whack.

Shes a boxer, coonhound, beagle, german shepard mix so he’s got his work cut out for him

We were only going about 10mph. She's fine and is always leashed even in the car, but it absolutely shocked me. We've driven by squirrels in our neighborhood hundreds of times without her reacting to them other than an ear perk, but this time she decided to leap into action.

We adopted Zelda when she was 1 year from the humane society and she remained a constant companion, love bug and our sweet adorable baby for 14 1/2 years. We miss her terribly. She was always a joy to be around and gave us lots of laughs and love. We cherish the memories we had together and will never forget you sweet Zelda.
