Training/Motivation Knee, hip and hamstring mobility

• Upvotes

I started three months ago, I am 27 as of now,

My body is starting to adapt to the new movements and rotations but I had really sore hamstrings and knees since last week, even tho I really didn't want to I had to take a break from breaking

, im almost back to normal so I'm aching to resume my training, what are some good recommended 'prehab' exercises I can incorporate so specifically my hamstrings and hip ( and lower back also I guess) become less rigid/more flexible

Discussion 29M Trying to get back to bboy after 12 years.

Hey guys im almost done with my 20s and just recently got back to bboying again. Not that experience but i use to practice footworks, toprock, some freezes like baby, and wanted to ask is it still possible for my age to get back on track.

Just want to ask if i can still get back to it as well as learning power moves again like swipe and windmill (i used to progress this but college had dismantle my small group and literally had nobody in college have interest in practicing breakin with me which is the reason i had to stop)

I just want this childhood memory of mine to be back with me as my way to relief stress as i feel like this is more something i love watching and trying before.

Thanks

Discussion What happened to the speed?

Watching videos from the past to now there is a huge difference in speed when going off. What the hell happened? Everyone is on the half time and not double time. People don’t freak lyrics that much and when something simple gets done people oh and ahh.

Feedbacks Can someone review my toprock?

I'm pretty new to the whole breaking thing (by new I mean I can barely pop 2 windmills, currently struggling with inner knuckle footwork due to flexibility). Would love some help with working on my toprock.

Discussion How do you get enough momentum off a coindrop to go into full mills?

I could usually do one or two rotations off one, but not enough to keep going 'cause I just don't get the same kind of whip.

Discussion where should I look to learn as an adult in chicago?

I’ve always been interested in learning, and since I turned 25 this year I feel like it’s a good age to start making myself do the things I always tell myself I want to try.

Is there any where someone can guide me to look towards getting started in the city of Chicago? Any private lessons or studios / groups I could look into?

Also, I am a girl wanting to learn, so i’d hope to find someone / somewhere who’s enthusiastic about that rather than being negative / condescending. Thanks so much!

Discussion What move made you feel like a legit bboy?

I have all the pieces of the windmill (like turtle freeze to backspin, back position to turtle freeze, shoulder roll), but when I try to put them together I fall short. I think I am having trouble using my momentum and keeping my legs spread while in motion.

I feel like once I get the windmill everything will click and other moves will come more naturally. I think it will also give me more confidence than any of the top rock or foot work moves I have learned.

Was that true for you? If not, what move made you feel like a true bboy?

Feedbacks Flare to Handstand progression and advice

If the timing is off even just by abit or if the body’s explosive power just feels physically off, it’s over.

Appreciate any advice or tips from those who can do this 🙏🏻

Feedbacks Flare to Handstand progression

I think I have posted Airflares, Windmills, Headspins here so many times already, so here’s my progression for Flare to Handstand. For those that can already do this, I hope I can get some feedback from you 😁, ended up training until 1 am for this. I haven’t managed to get up fully to Handstand just yet!
