Why
Why would Azir say "the order is gibbon.", when he's obviously a bird themed champion? is riot trolling?

Azir Emerald+ OTP here, so Diamonds+ take this with a grain of salt.
I remember picking Azir because of his whole concept of playing as an Emperor that commanded his army to victory, lately I noticed that, in reality, you're not really commanding an army but just a few bodyguards, it feels lackluster to me personally.
I've been thinking a bit about it and I came up with a rework that respects his lore much more than the current version we have of him in-game.
The idea is this:
W (Arise): The amount of soldiers that Azir can field at the same time now scales according to how much cooldown reduction Azir has, with a cap of 6 soldiers (maybe more depending on the feedback). So during the early game you summon 2 soldiers max, in the mid-game you summon around 3 to 4 soldiers max and coming to the late-game you summon 5 to 6 soldiers max.
Soldiers also boost Azir's armor and magic resistance if they are close to Azir, this effect multiplies based on how many soldiers are near Azir, the effect is lost the moment Azir is no longer close to any soldier, so you can turtle up alongside your soldiers to severely mitigate the instakill damage of an assassin champion, provided you're alongside your soldiers when the assassin throws himself at you.
In exchange, the damage of Azir is broken up based on how many soldiers are hitting the same target. That means that you're no longer summoning a soldier, throwing him against an enemy ADC with a Q and obliterate half of his bar or straight out kill him with late-game Azir, now every soldier Azir commands deals about a quarter of Azir's current AP as damage in each attack. You can still deal the current late-game damage that he has but only if you attack with your entire army, so bye-bye anime protagonist soldiers.
Lastly, the mana cost is highly low, near to zero, so Azir can spam as many soldiers as he likes without running out of mana.
The rework on W focuses on making Azir's gameplay be more of an Army Commander than a Manager of God-Tier Bodyguards as it works currently.
Q (Conquering Sands): The mana cost now goes higher according to how many soldiers are you moving with the Q in order to prevent early-game spamming, the mana cost reaches a reasonable flat cap in the late-game once players itemized his build around mana, ap, cooldown reduction and attack speed.
E (Shifting Sands): Remains exactly the same.
Passive (Shurima's Legacy): No changes.
R (Emperor's Divide) changed to (Imperial Arena): Azir's Phalanx is replaced with Azir's Imperial Arena. Now instead of summoning a wall of soldiers that charge from behind to in front of him, he now summons a circle surrounded by his soldiers. The circle's size is based on Azir's commanding range and it traps Azir alongside any champion, turret, minion or jungle mob that is near Azir's commanding range when it is casted. It lasts for 7 seconds.
The circle is placed based upon where Azir is located, so Azir will always be at the center of the arena when he cast the ultimate.
Azir also summons two extra soldiers beside him that are not counted for his soldier's cap.
It also eliminates every soldier in the field that Azir has summoned earlier if they were outside of the arena's range, Azir's W also reset it's stacks according to how many soldiers are inside of the arena when the ultimate was cast.
Azir can recast his ultimate to remove it sooner after 1 second.
Finally, the circle acts as impassable terrain, meaning that dashes and even flashes doesn't work to get out of it, if you're trapped inside it, you can't escape until the ultimate finishes or Azir lifts it early. It is also placed in the map, so you're not transporting champions to another dimension like you do with Mordekaiser's ultimate.
What do you all think of this? Feedback would be appreciated, if you think one or more changes are good, bad or whatever, voice your opinion, I would like to hear the thoughts of fellow Shuriman enjoyers about this rework idea.

I play ranked 5s with some friends and I want to get decent enough with him that I can use him as regular pick, but I find him pretty challenging. I'd like to see some comprehensive guides or info that isn't just simping for someone's favorite streamer or watching challenger vods. I'm sure there is a ton of nuance to when his power spikes are and what to build/runes to take in different matchups or top vs mid/bot.
I'm specifically looking for around Emerald-Diamond+ knowledge since Gold/silver isn't really going to apply to the MMR of our matches.
If you wanna just answer some general questions too like what combos he can do, or how to shuffle/dash more consistently that would be welcome. I spend a bunch of time in practice tool and still fumble a lot in my actual matches.

Hey guys, a month ago i made a post here saying im gonna learn Azir and eventually otp him
i gave up.
Hes so incredibly hard to understand and i’m amazed by all of u who can do it right, but i just cant. Aside from aram mayhem, im completely useless with him. I do not win a single 1v1 fight nor do i win laning phase. I know his spells and how to play around them, but i’m just too bad with him. I also have it very hard to just play it safe with him, it genuinely bores me out and i cant take it anymore. But then again im an irelia otp so my go to playstyle is being aggressive so azir has been the opposite of that and i just cant do it, maybe in another universe

Hi guys I’ve been playing League for 3 years now I’m currently plat 2 on euw I only play twisted fate and I was thinking of one tricking azir for the carry potential ( I love tf but want more team fighting 1v5 carry potential ) I’m willing to play azir and only azir for this season but I just want to ask is he worth investing time into and can you climb with him ?
I love this champion I don’t think I played maybe once or twice against one this year , also the fact that he’s rare makes me want to play him even more . I just wanna know if mainning him I can keep progressing as a player and climb more and obviously carry those 30% games that barely seem winnable

I played a game and my jungle flamed me for playing passively (I like to stay safe and scale). I challenged them to an ARAM on Azir and I lost. They pushed hard, took all the healy wheely things, used all their soldiers at once for maximum damage, total opposite to how I would normally play Azir. And I played badly out of nervousness of losing (funny how that works). And I took gathering storm instead of scorch.
But man, one tricking Azir for ages, I still feel like I should have won. It makes me feel stupid for having lost

Fellas, I need your thoughts. Would you rather have Azir with his initially intended kit (no shuffle, but increased range and stats), or the Azir we have today?
Here is the kit he was shipped with:
Passive:
Q:
W:
E:
R:
Is the shuffle too important to his identity? Does the shuffle keep him pro-locked? Let me know your thoughts.

Best part is Top is an island so your jungler isn't spamming you to contest crabs and lose the game. You can bully so many matchups and scale for free. Lvl 20 you feel crazy strong. Only downside I can see is no frontline but if you get a tank jungle is so nice. Also ban yone.

Hello fellow birb enjoyers!
I'm learning the champion toplane and am slowly making progress. I want to understand his runes and items more since i find myself defaulting to the same kind of setup everytime.
My usual setup has been PTA, absorb life, alacrity, cut down, manaflow, gathering. And then going DusknDawn, Nashors, shadowflame/bloodletters. I think this gives a lot of damage, sustain, mana, and feels pretty good.
I've seen a few other keystones like lethal tempo (ive tried), fleet, conq, electrocute, HoB, aery, first strike. I can understand first strike, PTA and Lethal but not the others. Also since im playing him top I think electrocute seems kinda weak. PTA seems best all around
I've also tried going cashback/cosmic insight secondary and starting RoA. I think it delays dusk and nashors a bit but if you can get those three you're exodia.
I feel like manaflow is too useful not to have. What do you guys do?
