Hey everyone! I’m Joe, co-founder of Rippit We’re hiring for a music curation role and thought someone in this community might be a good fit.

We’re looking for someone with a deep knowledge of electronic music, genres, and the NYC scene. The work involves creating artist pages, researching their sound and background, writing bios, tagging genres, and keeping event listings accurate. You’d also help shape how we describe artists and give users useful context around their music.

No technical background needed; strong music knowledge, attention to detail, and being comfortable working with spreadsheets are what matters.

It’s full-time at $4–5k/month for the first two months, with the potential to continue. Continuing beyond those two months isn’t guaranteed.

In town for work but only until Friday morning. Trying to find a good show. I know nothing about either of these DJs and I’ve never been to Marquee here. Will this be fun? Or will I regret it? Any feedback on something else to check out this Wednesday/thursday is appreciated.

Experienced racism last night in a place where everyone should be accepted, but the the pile of shit of humans are being let in for god knows what reason or why they even want to be there if they are going to bring that attitude.

Im vibing to the music and a group of east asian girls walk by and stop right in front of me and say something to the effect of me being black in a dark room wearing all black. The all start laughing and keep pushing their way to through the crowd.

These crowds are getting worse and worse by the week. Shitty, nasty people like this group of girls have no business being at these parties. But I guess this type of behavior is accepted in this community.

Super longshot. Met your group in middle of main room floor during Advent. You were blonde with exposed stomach wearing black. I would guess your height between 5'8 and 5'11. You were with a brunette haired woman shorter than you and a likely curlyish dirty blonde haired guy wearing a white tank undershirt. I was fanning your group and danced with you for a few minutes. Things were getting groovy and as a group you decided you were going somewhere though I didnt hear where. We never spoke so I didnt catch your name or any info. You tried to take my hand to come with but I declined and said I would stay there to dance. Hoped you were coming back but maybe you thought I wasn't interested in dancing more since I declined to leave the floor. Worth a shot.

Getting very excited for this one next Sunday. I think it’ll be absolutely packed, gonna go super early to get the most out of it. Anyone else going? Hope the weather holds!

God damn what a night. Reminder of just how good storehouse can be and glad they’re finishing it off with a genuine send off.

Sound, production, crowd (for the most part) all seemed pretty peak. Just wow. Still can feel it.

Really disappointed with our experience.

• Having to body block for my partner several times because different men were pushing up against her and touching her
• Aggressive people pushing to the front, just to video on their phones / text
• People just.. not dancing?

I am connected with the underground scene in Denver / Boulder and had zero of these problems.

Where can we go to have respectful people, without their phones, who have a baseline EQ to not fucking grope people?

The entrance to the floor has no functional line and it there was a mass of people trying to get in. The situation genuinely was hazardous. The floor admissions line situation made it so that everyone was in a terrible mood during the rave. The highschoolers were pissing everyone off, the music was quiet, and the vibe of the crowd was awful. I also didnt think the set was anything special. I had a great time but nobody else in the crowd was moving.

I’m sorry but that had to be one of the worst crowds I’ve ever experienced. I can understand being young and seeing your favorite DJ but that’s no fucking excuse to behave like that.

Not sure about the match up with Rubenstein though, pretty major tone change after and Studio was pretty hard to decelerate to after that. (Flax was great tho.) That said pretty hard to follow for anyone I think. I've never once been disappointed by Cisco since I first saw him at Twilo in 99 or 2000

Loved Black coffee not happy with the new pacha feels so small compared to Brooklyn mirage 🙈we had such a great event space not sure why they scaled down ! I really miss Brooklyn mirage hope it comes back to its glory 💕

I live very far from H0l0 and I’m visiting New York today only to see Louie Vega but don’t want to arrive too early. The event says that doors are open until 12 am, what’s the usual set time for an event in h0l0 on Sunday?

Anybody who was at Gryffin last night know if/why/where Gryffin disappeared to in the middle of his set? I was a bit far away so I couldn't really see. But it appeared to me and everyone around me from minutes ~30 to ~60, he wasn't in the elevated central spot or around his consoles anymore.

Was that on purpose? An accident? Or was he just in a side area that none of us could see?
