I'm aware of what a Markov chain is and how it works (to a degree) but I'm really confused on its application in autechres setup. Hopefully someone who knows about m4l can elaborate. Is it something on the sequencing side or does it drive the synthesis?

big thx to
Incredible quality and maybe my fav set from this tour. What an insane groove monster with mindmelting changes.

Wow, Nijmegen was a rush. A few thoughts: quite an aggressive, relentless set compared to previous outings. The sound system at Doornroosje is fantastic, but unfortunately we were stood towards the back not in direct sight of the in-line top speakers, so the effect was very bass heavy. But it is amazing how a combination of a very clean, distortion free audio rig combined with Autechre’s unique sound profile makes for damage free listening at high volumes. No ringing in the ears or headaches afterwards. The final 20 minutes were epic craziness and I can’t wait for the new live releases (hear what I missed frequency wise)

My second time visiting Autechre, third time for some friends of mine after Brussels and Kopenhagen. This was the one for us, without any doubt. Still searching for the right words. Credits to the MAD sound system in Doornroosje, we floated out enlightened (and deaf). Totally worth it. 10/10.

Im still processing what happened tonight and will be for quite some time. Amazing set and very emotional at the end with the ovation, such a genuine beautiful moment. Afterwards i (bald guy with brown longsleeve shirt/dark green rain jacket) was talking with a guy with an ae shirt on at the toilets and it was really nice to nerd out. Later in the queue for the jackets me and my friend discovered we were talking to his roommate. We kept the conversation going and were about to get drinks, then we lost you. I was excited to talk a little bit more, if you were too and would like to hit me up to maybe go to a concert or sth idk send me a DM. If you think this is weird, or are just not interested, all good, maybe see you at the next one.

Hi everyone,
I really like Autechre. It was my first time seeing them perform live this week. Call me a rookie, but I had no idea the show would take place in pitch darkness, which is actually pretty cool at first. However, some awful people will take advantage of it, and the atmosphere can feel incredibly unsafe when you're alone. I was absolutely thrilled to attend this gig, but an older guy literally sexually assaulted me for 40 minutes, and it was ridiculously difficult for me and the security guards to find him in such a dark, crowded venue. As I'm pretty sure this has happened to many other people, I just wish Autechre and their team would reconsider their lighting policy for their tour. It's really unfair that so many of us can't enjoy their music because we don't feel safe…

Hi guys just a quick question ahead of the london show, last saw the boys at manchester (then rob at blacklights!), are they still doing the set ‘A B C D’ thing they started in 2022? Is that what i should be expecting / bracing for?
Also wouldnt mind a little update on how the live set at the moment / this all works as has been a while since I’ve engaged with it so would appreciate an explanation if i’ve got it wrong at all
Safe :) !

I'm seeing AE in London next week and wondered if they had merchandise for sale like usual?
I'd be after a t-shirt specifically.

I am quite a fan but I still do not understand how exactly their gigs are played nowadays. I read threads about it already but some information is contradictory so I got confused.
Like, there is a long piece of music they make before the tour and then they play certain part of it, remixing it live? Or do they produce a piece from scratch during the concert, but based on the long piece they made beforehand? Idk much about the technical side of how they make things so don't judge me if what I write doesn't make much sense.
Also there are kinda 4 main sets that have been played since 2022- (A, B, C, D), right? Then the "set E" that I saw people mentioning is the new material? Has it already been played somewhere before the current tour? How many sets are there so far then?
I know it probably has already been discussed, but I still can't find certain answers. Could someone point to the thread or smth where it's explained? Or if someone maybe could explain it accessibly?

Listening to it right now, and it’s unparalleled. I prefer music without loops, with a sense of development, and this is exactly that. Every moment feels organic, constantly evolving.

Made this video for a track from a friend of mine. Part of a series of 4 I posted on my channel. Audio is modular synths, video is python/openGL/resolve
Posting here as it might appeal to you if you like audio/visual matching like the gantz graf vid

Any live show of theirs I've gone to, they just pretend like they can't hear me and instead play loud music for a big room of people I don't know. it's like HELLO I AM HERE CATER TO ME
