OFFICIAL Newer Custom Flairs

After seeing some people actually start using the flairs I made, it felt a bit unfair to be the only one with a bright colour. User flairs have been updated to stand out more, and several additional flairs have been added.

QUESTION Is it true that the A-H Empire was very corrupt and less developed than the German Empire?

I’ve heard that certain regions of the empire were really poor like Bukowina/Buchenland or Galizia which were affected by famine and high emigration and the reasons for this was the high levels of corruption. How true is this?

HISTORY Countess Karolyi's Curse against Franz Joseph near the beginning of his reign.
22
Upvotes
From the book "The life of Emperor Francis Joseph" by Francis Henry Gribble on archive.org
The curse was supposedly uttered to him by the Countess Karolyi (Countess Antónia Zichy) because he had executed Hungarian military commanders at Arad in 1849 and Count Batthyány supposedly one was her husband. I don't know if it's historical fact or not, the book is great, and the curse (if true) is pretty prescient.
