Is it worth saving this acacia pycnantha?
galleryAs in original post. Have gone full native in my backyard (ripped out hundreds of agapanthus and succulents). Trial and error but most things this spring are now growing beautifully. Except this guy.

- RECOMMENDATION Silver Princess Roots
Transplanting a recently bought Silver Princess eucalyptus. I Heard they don’t like there roots played with too much so I unsure as to mess with its root ball. Is the circling on this one not too bad or need to be fixed?

Does anyone have tips for getting Banksias established (Perth)?
Planted this one in March this year in Perth. Did nothing all winter and then turned up its toes as soon as the weather warmed up. I do have a bit of limestone in my garden, wondering if that might be the issue?
This area is on retic in the warmer months, occasional hand watering during dry spells in winter. Hoping there are some Banksia whisperers in here because I'm trying to attract the black cockatoos!

- RECOMMENDATION My callistemons are thriving!
It’s Spring, and my garden is coming into its own. I have put blood, sweat and tears into this - literally- and a few years down the track, it’s really paying off.
I planted a hedge of callistemons as a privacy screen, and they are looking stunning. I get birds and bees every day.
Bonus shots of my cottage style garden composed of edible plants! All these flowers go into my salads.

Tuckeroo tree - how to manage codominant stems?
Hoping someone might be able to help. We have a Tuckeroo tree which has codominant stems. I am worried it will eventually split and we'll lose the entire tree. I know I probably should have figured something out before it was quite so tall, but I was just pretty happy it was growing.
Wondering if there is a side we should pick to try to make that the dominant stem, prop it up straighter, and prune back the other a little at a time? Reluctant to just chop one side off entirely but who knows - these are used as street trees in our area so maybe they can survive anything?
This side of our garden has been quite difficult to get things growing - we don't really have soil, it is straight up just sand (and some building rubble/concrete in places). Have shovelled in tonnes of soil/compost/mulch over the years. We got some free African Iris' from a lovely neighbour and had them in for quite a few years (not sure you can kill them!) but now trying to replace with mainly native species (also, just about to add mulch for summer).
Please ignore the temp fencing/shade cloth - the fence behind is the original super short asbestos delight. We used what we had around to avoid direct eye contact with the back neighbours while the hedge grows.
Edit: location - Western Adelaide, SA

Propagating Black Bean(Castanospermum australe) trees from seed. - Scenic Rim, SEQ
Black Bean - Castanospermum australe - Scenic Rim, SEQ
These are seeds from a Black Bea/Moreton Bay Chestnut that we are propagating for re-generation.
It is a simple procedure.
Crack open the seed pods. Release the seeds.
Place in moist seed raising/potting mix/soil
Keep warm and moist
Then we get shoots :)

Reccomendation for small grassy plants along my retaining wall/ footpath!
Over to the brains trust! Any reccomendations on really small low maintenance grassy plants that I could put along these gaps between my retaining wall and path. I have an area that gets mostly shade and then another with full day sun.
Currently its filled with rocks and just fills with leaves all the time, which is proving hard to keep neat! TIA

- RECOMMENDATION Spotted one of my favs Banksia robur in Hervey Bay QLD
Fun fact: Each "flower" is actually a dense spike made of hundreds or even thousands of individual tiny flowers packed along a woody axis. A single bull banksia head can hold over 6,000 flowers.
