I never kill spiders I catch them and release safely where they can hunt.

Just spotted outside by my front door. The body is nearly an inch long. I'm pretty sure it's a Rabidosa rabida. But everything I'm seeing about where they can be found says Maine to Florida, and west to Texas. I'm in southern California - San Bernardino county. Have they spread this far west? Or was Google Lens wrong on the ID?

Photo taken in Miranda State, Venezuela where Tityus Scorpions are endemic.

Edit: I'm not completely sure, but very inclined to think it is a Tityus. If it is, I would like to know what especies is.

This was found in a restaurant setting, and the cleaner sent me these pictures after they had dispatched it out of fear. Any medical significance? Thanks for your expertise!

Not sure what sort of spider this is or if it's poisonous!

Did you know you’re sharing your bed with thousands of tiny arachnids? 🧹

Quinten Geldhof, also known as Microhobbyist, shows how a single spider can produce up to seven different types of silk, each with its own job. Sturdy dragline silk builds the web’s frame, while sticky blobs of silk set the trap for prey. Pound for pound, it’s up to five times stronger than steel, and a strand long enough to circle the Earth would weigh just 4.4 pounds! What would you use spider silk for?

TIL Male Daddy Long Legs (these are harvestman) have a penis that extends from their underside and transfers sperm directly into the female. Males also produce a liquid secretion (the goo you’re seeing between them) called a nuptial gift. The female may consume this secretion during courtship or mating.

Thought this was glistening a cluster of seeds in my garden during the spring of the pandemic. Until I touched it, and they scattered! I still have a healthy population of them now.

He made a nice web from my tomatoe to calamnsi tree. Anyone know if it’s bad for either plant?

Found indoors. I’m located in mid Missouri. Is this a wolf spider?

Wolf Spider, Crickets and a Beetle Floating in the Pool Skimmer

I got stung on my finger today by this scorpion hiding in some debris.

Location: Southern California, chapparel region about 30min from coast.

This friendly garden spider, lovingly named “Jimmy”, is so very cool. At first, I thought it might be a spiny backed spider, but it resembles the long like a yellow garden spider. Spiny backs didn’t seem to have as long of legs and this guy, but the yellow garden spiders don’t seem to have the spiny backs. I gotta believe it’s a crossover of some kind and appreciate the communities help!

I was able to use a magnifying lens on my phone to get really close and you can see the hair on its abdomen in the last pic.

Centrobunus braueri es una especie de opilión endémica de la isla de Mahe en las islas Seychelles, estoy buscando una ilustración de la especie para saber cómo era, si alguien la tiene lo agradecería bastante
