Neighbors Door Slamming
Hi guys,
I live in a fairly new apartment building which has poor insulation. My bedroom is beside my neighbors living room and kitchen. For the past couple of months I have been hearing his cabinets, doors, footsteps, and pretty much any thumping noise through the wall. I could even hear him talk.
I knocked on his door to ask him if he could just keep it a bit quiet during quiet hours but nothing seemed to improve.
At last, I decided to move my bed into the living room and my couch into the bedroom so that i am far away from him as possible.
The only problem I have now is that whenever he closes his front door, it is really loud. Like so loud I could hear it through the closed doors and walls in my living room. Sometimes my doors even vibrate. Basically, it’s like I know whenever he is home or not.
Regardless, i wanted to ask if it is an unrealistic expectation to have him close the door gently? I am also going to follow up with my apartment management about this. I just want to know because I dont want to be the neighbor that seems nitpicky.
What are your guys thoughts?
