Hey, I just started. I have 100 hours in the game, and I only solo q'ed to Masters 13 times, embarrassing, I know! Is there anything I can do to improve? Go easy on me guys! If you aren't Diamond I and above btw, you are worthless as a person, and we should have the right to break your hands so you can't play again. And if you are a controller player, you should have to pay $100/mo to the M&K Reparations Fund for all the irreversible pain you caused the community. But none of this matters because RaNKeD iS uNpLAYaBLe since (weapon / legend buff or nerf of literally any size went into effect). I need to play rank and treat it like my full-time job though, because if number on screen don't go up, then what point?!? Also, if you aren't using the meta weapons, or God forbid play WILDCARD (threw up in my mouth a bit just TYPING that), you have lost my respect as a human being and I have the right to legally run you off the road with my car. Also, any time you lose a game it's a skill issue on your part. Focused by 3 squads at once? Skill issue. Server went down? That's on you bud! Power went out?!? You didn't put your Wattson ult down fast enough so...skill issue! Your main is also such trash that the devs did their mocap in a dumpster!!

Pretty much title. I used to rock my weapon mastery badges and 20b badge but randoms thought that meant I would hard carry and destroy the whole lobby. I had one really good game in wildcard and it’ll probably never happen again bro please relax.

Had someone call me garbage when they ran in the middle of 3 squads fighting while I took high ground to get better positioning. They of course went down and called me trash for it.

Now I rock no badges so my teammates don’t expect anything out of me and it’s been great. All I have is my kill tracker for that specific legend. Anybody else do this?

I've been a Newcastle main for a year to hone my skills in recovery, now I will be switching to Newcastle 2.0 basically, so you've been warned.

Man early Apex was so much fun. I remember seeing the launch pads and me and my friends were so hyped. You jumped on it and it launched you and all your friends in the air, it just felt so crazy at the time.

My friends were so hyped, we were like "damn now we all can jump around whenever we want to and get to high places easily".

And then trailers like introducing Wattson. And you see a tease of Crypto in the Watson trailer where he detonates the towers which then causes all the flying monsters to get into Kings Canyon. There was so much natural lore and progression to the storylines, man what has Apex now become. Stories were hit the highest point when it was about Revenant and Loba! Damn. The guys who wrote these stories were probably the first to get mass fired by Respawn I bet.

And then you see a teaser of Crypto in one of the labs where he sees you and runs away quickly. These were the teases that got people hyped and taking. It's these teasers that made the casuals so hyped and talking about the game OUTSIDE of the game. No one is talking about the new legend Axel in a class anymore.

I remember a bunch of good friends I played Apex with. One dropped out at the beginning of season 1 as he was the most casual, another dropped out in S3 when they added a "soft sbmm" by today's standards. One friend dropped out season 4. Good friend I made friends with on S3 and played with them 1000s of hours until like season 17 and then the dropped it. Now I don't know anyone who even plays Apex anymore.

I feel like Respawns answers were naturally "give everyone some form of movement and up the action" all the time has made the game lose its highs and lows of a battle royale match.

Also in hindsight I feel like Wildcard kinda killed the game in a strange way. It made pubs too slow and boring when you go back to it. So when you play Wildcard your just focused on fighting fighting fighting. Yet in Pubs you have downtime to just talk to each other and chat and catch up with life and then fight and then chat etc whilst Ranked is all pure Comms. Eh I don't even know why I made this post, don't think it will gain traction but just spitting thoughts.

Windows 11 home, cleaned and debloated from unnecessary stuff.
-Chris titus tools + O&O shut up( most of the services on manual)
- clean nvidia driver installation with ddu- nvclean
- process lasso handles the system, ultimate performance power plan, timer resolution at 0.5040; cores unparked through the Regedit.
- interrupt affinity to a specific core to handle better GPU, usb, internet, audiocard.
- Ethernet using the intel port on the mobo, tweaked ineternet settings with tcp optimizer, script dedicated and removed all the power saving stuff.

Now I have not a single issue with performance in any other games I play ( battlefield 6, valorant, arc raiders, cod, etc etc) except for apex that is driving me crazy at this point.

I’ve used different steam launch options to counter this sort of tearing and micro stutter. I’ve even tryed battlefield capped at 90 -120 fps and was way smooth then apex at 240 capped starting from 90 fps.

Anyone facing this issue?
Like the hit-reg and graphics performance have been way worst since they removed dx11 (and the old servers that I’ve found better for my self)

I get the occasional master/pred in low ranked games, but constantly dying to people with 50k kills on their legend is so damn annoying. Im gold 1 and nowhere near those people so why the actual f*** am I constantly getting wiped by players way above my rank. I just wanna play the damn game without some freak zooming by beaming the shit out of me and literally 1v3ing my team before his mates are even here. Yes im ranting but no other game has a ranked system this bad.

Anyone else having issues? Wildcard feels very slow again for me after update. Lots of lag as soon as I encounter a fight. Cannot win my 1v1s anymore. And sometimes the red symbols usually pop up. My internet and monitor is really extremely good and I never had an issue with that. No overheating either(I read somewhere that could be an issue). I play on Us East server. Let me know if it’s not just me because it’s so frustrating and I want to quit atp. Thanks!

ive been playing apex for a long time, and one thing i genuinely dont understand is why we still have so few badges worth grinding for?

take the 'master of all' badge, for example- win 10 games with 8 different legends that badge has been in the game for ages, and back then there were obviously far fewer legends to choose from now were sitting at 28 legends, yet we still don't have any new badges that give players a meaningful longterm challengewhere are the new characterspecific challenges? Where are the difficult badges that actually take time, dedication, and skill to unlock? why not add badges for winning a certain number of games with every legend, completing challenging objectives, or reaching milestones that reward players for sticking with the game?

imagine if we had a hard mode 'Master of All badge' like 100 wins with 28different legends. Now THAT would actually be something worth grinding for. It would also give people a reason to play legends they normally never touch, and this is just one example!

apex has so much potential when it comes to longterm progression, but outside of ranked, theres often very little to work towards once youve unlocked the badges you wanted

is it really that difficult to add new badges to the game?

i dont think every update needs a massive new progression system, even a handful of new, challenging badges every few seasons would give people something to grind for and a reason to keep playing,

its been 7yrs already! add new badges!!!

(and no, weapon mastery doesnt count, its a f-ing joke, all that grinding just to get an ugly ass banner)

I purely came here to ask, but can I still get the varients of the Skippy skin? I got the Grenade skins and the kill affect, but i really wanted the Trauma Team skin for it, but I also just kinda fell out of the game at that point

Me and my boys have been playing ranked lately, and we've managed to make it to Diamond. I would say we're all slightly above average skill. Is it even worth it to try to get to Masters, or should we just throw in the towel at D4?
