The anus wasn't really designed to be penetrated in my opinion. It is susceptible to fissures and other bad stuff. The worst part is if the walls tear, it's a big emergency. Anal walls are very thin, and don't lubricate at all, so putting something up there sounds like a bad idea.

Despite this, our society says anal sex is fine and "natural", but natural doesn't always mean good. They downplay the health risks too.
