Discussion Why I like this champ
I used to be a Yasuo main, then a Jayce main and finally an Aatrox main until I started to play Ambessa. Each time I always felt the clear out weaknesses of my character hard when enemies knew how to capitalize them well.
Yasuo always felt like he is a ticking time bomb that become useless after mid game and at my peak I could be able to end the games but as time went on and I dropped off the league, I lost the edge I used to have to stomp the games to victory.
Jayce felt like he have no room for errors, as long as you did no mistakes you were Thanos and even at the smallest positioning or CD mistake your game was over.
Aatrox is a mid game monster that can delete whole enemy teams when comp is right but If enemy got a single problematic kiter or If your team didn't had a single engage other than you. Then games become so so so much harder to close out and you mostly lose your agency as game goes on.
Ambessa is different.
Best I could describe how Ambessa feels is like playing a card game as each part of her kit is another card in your hand. She is the final boss of agency. Whatever situation I am put in, there is always a room for my victory to play out as long as odds are straight out impossible and I played the cards good. If I die, it is my mistake most of the time, the champ never feels out of capacity and always feels like something I could learn from and get better.
This creates a loop on my mentality about the game.
30% of the games are unwinnable by nature, 30% of the games are win by default and 30% of the games are decided by your own capabilities as a player and I feel like Ambessa allows me to make the best out of me as a player and use that 30% to its fullest.
