Did some fun, slightly lazy little sprite edits. The kids have opposite aspects and swap classes in their active/passive pairs. This idea branched off of another idea which was inspired by another idea from the HWTSG subreddit... my mind is like a machine of ideas :3

Interestingly, basically all of the changes can be explained with retrocausal beta-alpha timeline bullshit and don't really need to change the fundamental core of any character. Dave grows up to be a Page of Space because Bro is a Bard of Mind and just makes Dave get stoned all day. Dirk grows up to be a Bard of Mind because Alpha Dave is a Page of Space and leaves no legacy to motivate him. They're still Dave and Dirk at their core, just with radically different lives. And so on for the others.

I made some sprite edits for the trolls too but they don't have the fun timeline stuff going on because I don't care about the dancestors. Maybe I'll touch them up and post if people are interested

Homestuck's tone is one of it's greatest contradictions

we are meant to laugh at jake English, who is a joke yet we are also meant to emphasize with jake English brain damage victim, who must bear the psychological turmoil of being a "joke".

We are meant to laugh at Dave being assaulted by puppet porn then later see it as a traumatizing life event for Dave.

There are many more examples but i digress. What is home stuck trying to "do" with it's tone, and how does it achieve or fail to achieve these goals.
