Please don't forget to keep in mind that she will likely receive a mythic variant of this skin alongside her KDA Firestarter skin, or she might just straight up get a mythic variant for KDA firestarter. if you already have pass rolls, or already have rolled for a mythic variant, it might be cheaper to finish that out than to buy the legendary plus border and chromas. Just beware there's a better Akali skin on the horizon

I just saw the latest skin spotlight post, and this is Akali’s bundle skin, and the border is different, don’t know if they really changed or put the other borders on top of hers, what do you think?

As the title says, I am new to Akali (mastery 5 maybe?) and Gold 1. I believe that I do ok on her considering my mastery of her is still so low. In this time, I have had quite a few tougher matchups.. hard to lane especially pre 6. Into the 'even' matchups, I have a lot of success getting solo kills as people don't respect the level 6 kill pressure she has. But back to my main question, in the harder matchups, I find myself basically going, 'fuck this I am roaming' and dropping my 20-30 cs behind just to get me out of lane and impact the other lanes instead. From you all better than me, is this the right move or am I leaving too much cs behind? Thanks!

I feel today is my lucky day🤭

I started playing league in 2021. Then at some point started playing akali a lot. This was during the time of mythic items when rocketbelt was the standard first item for Akali. I could not imagine akali without rocketbelt. It made perfect sense. Can't reach the enemy with your ult? Just rocketbelt. Still got E for the combo then. Perfect sync. Absolutely perfect item for Akali in any way.

Then I got more familiar with the history of Akali and learned that back in the olden days people used to build gunblade. I didn't know what it did, I just heard everyone talking about it and assumed it was an absolutely awesome perfect sync item for Akali.

Now I didn't play Akali for quite some time now, however I recently thought I should try out this perfect for Akali made item (yes I'm writing in this way to express the expectations I had of gunblade).

And I was rather disappointed. It basically doesn't do anything. I don't feel the AD, I don't think I even heal from vamp scepter and when the item is finished, the zap feels so useless.

So anyways, I started building the heavily nerfed rocketbelt again because I just can't imagine Akali without this item. I feel like she loses like 50% of her ability without rocketbelt.

So yeah, what is gunblade even good for?

This is official word from Riot’s lead developer, written a month ago. How do you interpret this? Maybe they already finished a KDA exalted and this is about future ones? Or do you think they scrapped it entirely/turned it into a mythic variant

I do wanna have a serious discussion and share my opinion and would love to hear yours.

Look i understand that Stormsurge 2nd buy is a great item for the many reasons most of us have discussed about in here and wherever else people talk about this.

I also know a lot of people do realize how strong it is and what are the reasons for it. I myself, was for a very long time buyer of Shadowflame 2nd item but upon reviewing and comparing it as an item in game i switched up to Stormsurge.

So i don't really understand WHY half of the community is split up so badly on which item between Shadowflame and Stromsurge should be bought as a second item.

This goes for the top most played games with akali players as well as the pro scene where half of them buy shadowflame and the other half stormsurge. What is this thing that has made Stormsurge so overshadowed by Shadowflame?

Moreover, how would you think this would affect her win rate if it was the No 1 build? (aka: GB into Stormsurge instead of what all of the websites show currently)
