So, I've been dealing with this question for years. I came out as bisexual to my family when I was a teenager. It was a fear I had on my childhood; with my mom it was more difficult than my dad, but even if my worst fears don't end up come true I know we can't talk about that freely.
It came to my mind more recently this question when they mention that "as a parent it isn't that simple to accept certain things about their own children".
I realate when it's talk on media about wanting to be love whole; the wrongs, the rights, the good things, the awful parts... It makes me sad and makes my mind spiral when I realated to things on my life.
My parents say they love me, but I'm not sure if you can love someone when you can't accept things that they can't change or control. And if I found a partner of the same sex, I'm not sure how things would unfold.
I also don't know how to handle my family that is not of my nucleus, like my uncles, grandma, much older cousins or so... The majority are so homophobic, it's not only their debates where they said that the LGBTI+ should be hidden, that it's not good, from God or said comments on the style " they all look normal now", "I couldn't imagine he were gay", "they shouldn't be dress like that", "they are degenerates", "I'm not against them, but they shouldn't be kissing or holding hands in public" and so much more.
I'm just wondering if that's how they talk of me, if they where to change towards me if the ones that don't know, knew. Will I be an abnormality to them? An unnatural being that choose that path? Or at their eyes I shouldn't been born?
P. S: Sorry if I have bad grammar or there are things that don't make sense, english isn't my first language.

speaking from experience with fujos, women being really obsessed with gay men is so just very weird. it's is on the same level as chud men that are obsessed with yuri/lesbians. there's nothing weirder i can think of than purposefully going out of your way to create a whole nsfw genre about people who explicitly do not want you.
gay male romance written by women for women has about 0.00001% of being an accurate representation, and something tells me it doesn't try to be in the first place.
i wouldn't mind if it were normal, realistic or in any way compelling gay romance stories or shi like that, but it's always objectified, very stereotypical romance where one man is still "the woman." it's just straight fantasy, but instead of the girl there's an ugly caricature of a feminine man.

Codependent and upended, qualified for a new lease
âNother day, going on a date with a dime piece
Running late, send a text- she doesnât mind, please
Step out the car, wings on point, yeah that sounds like me
Dozen texts left on read, yeah Iâll hit you up soon
Say Iâm busy, but Iâll âprolly just stay in my room
Work hard, play hard-
Think about me too long and you just might get-
Just kidding, no need for me to take it that far
Bow down and shut the fuck up cuz you stand before the czar
Spending money making money, like a good capitalist pig
Some on rent, some on bills, some on nails, makeups, wigs
Calling out the next fucker that looks at me funny
Brain dead, shriveled lobes if you think that Iâma let you run me
No worries- cuz you âbout to get a glow up of a lifetime
Please step through the door, there's a spot just for you primed
When I sit you in that chair, crank the dial see the
Voltage soar
Nâ play that shit like Iâm tryna get a new
Fucking highscore
When I sit you in thatâŠ
Ooo when I sit you in thatâŠ
Ooo when I sit you in that-ahâŠ
Ooo
When I sit you in that chair, crank the dial see the
Voltage soar
Play that shit like Iâm tryna get a new
Fucking highscore
Watch your eyeballs blow up like an asteroid from my missiles
Now where do I get to type in my initials?
Oh please, Iâve seen better people put people to death for less
Ew gross, you got your innards on my dress
Now I hope yourâe listening- yourâe about to get the best part
Ten years in a coma like a chrysalis in your backyard
Now the matriarch emerges like a No Kings March
Aged like fine wine, all bottled up and in the dark
Now Iâm full-bodied; sweet, but with undertones of tart
A backbone, complex, a finish that lasts in your mouth
Twirl me âround, see the long legs that are pronounced
Bring it to the party and itâs what everyone's gonna talk about
Hope you're feeling what Iâm feeling but I mean like
How Iâm feeling right now
Self assured, know your worth âcuz sometimes
Youâll feel trapped underground
Certified killer, Iâm the winner- dripped in blood stained gold
Summit of life feeling empty when Iâm up here all alone
But a frozen hand feels better - and you can put that in a quote
When Iâm dead and buried gonna need a gravegem not a stone

we've been thinking a lot about how often queer stories are expected to justify their existence.
how many times do we have to watch someone come out, get rejected, experience trauma, or spend an entire story trying to convince the world they deserve to be loved?
and don't get us wrong. those stories matter. they're part of our lives. but they're not all of our lives.
sometimes being queer is walking through the woods with someone you love. sometimes it's an awkward conversation you remember years later. sometimes it's finding someone who makes you feel safe enough to be completely yourself. sometimes it's just being a weird little person having a weird little day.
that's a big part of why we're making The Things Left Behind.
it's a collection of short, interactive stories about queer and disabled life. we've got multiple trans stories about love, friendship, and acceptance, alongside stories about sensory overload, executive dysfunction, intimacy, and all the tiny moments that somehow become important.
but something that's just as important to us is who's actually making these stories.
we have trans artists, musicians, programmers, and other queer and disabled creators bringing their own experiences into the game.
we're also partnering with disability organizations and autism centers to teach game development and create paid opportunities for people who might otherwise be excluded from these spaces. we've built an ND-friendly lab because we want the process of making the game to reflect the same values we're trying to put into it.
and we think there's something really fucking beautiful about that.
queer and disabled people getting to make art about our own lives, on our own terms, without needing to turn every experience into a lesson for someone else.
the game will be free and eventually open source. we're still building it, but we finally have a Steam page if anyone wants to follow along or wishlist it:
https://store.steampowered.com/app/4450900/The_Things_Left_Behind/
we don't think every queer story needs to change the world.
sometimes it should just get to exist.
and so should we.

Hello everyone. After 4 years of fighting my thoughts, 4 years of secretly loving other men and feeling oh so trapped, 4 years of confusion, I can now proudly say that today I have accepted who I am for good, and even told my friends. Thankfully they support me, and most importantly I support myself.
I am happy about coming out officially after these years. It feels like such a big weight off my shoulders and so much happiness I can feel coming.
A lot of my talks with people within the LGBT and gay community helped me IMMENSELY. But I can proudly say that I am gay and I am so proud of myself, being gay just feels right and its who I amâ€ïžđłïžâđ

Me sorprendiĂł bastante.

I'm 24F, lesbian, I hate living here. It's illegal to be part of the LGBT. It feels so lonely, there are no gay bars, events, or shelter for the community.
I'm planning on moving away in a year once i graduate from college. But I can't help feeling impatient, and resent my family. A few years ago, they confiscated my passport after finding out I was trying to leave (I'm American), I went to the police and they did absolutely nothing. They wouldn't even let me open a case or report them.
My dad then blocked the card (it's connected to his bank account) and if it wasn't for me having a separate card I wouldn't have been able to get to the embassy.
I was basically trapped against my will. It was traumatizing
Just for context, I live in Dubai. I can't wait to leave again, and i seriously hope what happened doesn't repeat itself.
What advice can you guys give me for when I leave?
I also don't have a job, I'm still a university student and you can't get a job here without a degree. I do however have enough money for a ticket to the US.
This was 2 years ago mind you and my relationship with them drastically improved, it's almost like it never happened, but I simply can't forgive or forget. They also don't know I'm gay.
