Anyone have any insights? How do you cancel few weeks away?

been listening to kpop for 20 minutes straight yall how can someone create this many bot accounts

howdy yall, I’m really nervous about the nursing application results. I wanted to go get some insight on my stats to gauge if I shojld basically have hope or not…I’m a re-applicant. I applied last semester for fall 2026…unfortunately I wasn’t accepted. I have improved my gpa and my medical experiences.

my overall hesi score was a 91 with a 84 in anatomy. (I hadn’t taken anatomy 1 or 2 atp so I studied the entire course in a week, and I didn’t have time over the summer to study to retake it)

core gpa: I think a 3.5? I have a few Bs

science gpa: I think a 3.89? only one B

overall Tamu gpa: 3.79

medical experience: I have my cna license (I got this over the summer and used it a lot in my interview) I also have some certifications like ekg tech that I got in highschool and my bls

volunteering: in a few Tamu service orgs like starlight aggies, ags reach, and volunteering through my Flo and slo

job experience: shift leader at my hometown ice cream shop the past three summers, and barista at sweet eugenes for a few months

leadership: I was a section leader in band in highschool and an officer for my Flo last year

languages: I can speak fluent English and Spanish, as well as intermediate French.

im very worried about my gpa and hesi score. However, I was confident in my interview, I felt much better than the last time I did the Kira talent. i talked about patient experiences while doing my clinicals, and my leadership at my job along with customer interactions. i check every single email notification on my phone and I’m growing more and more anxious everyday. 😕

I am a sophomore mechanical engineer and i need to fill out my degree plan and im just wondering by when i need to declare i minor and if i have to include it in my degree plan. I need to submit it soon because registration is coming up

Has anyone taken Samantha fletcher? I’m about to take me second exam and need studying tips from anyone who’s taken her class! Thanks in advance:)

Hi :) Are you overwhelmed by our local elections? Here’s a quick guide I made for the College Station Municipal Election!! No AI used

You can take a look at what your ballot will look like here. It's really hard to remember all the names of people you're going to vote for so what I do is write down the names on a really small scrap of paper and I bring it in, since you can't use your phone.

Mayor

Bob Yancy

• Been a city council member since 2022
• Wants to prioritize public safety and fiscal responsibility while keeping College Station business friendly
• Website: https://www.bobyancy.com/
• Hot button issue: Voted against continuing the most recent Flock contract ... but is open to pursuing contracts with other automated license plate reading companies like Axon

Elizabeth Cunha

• Heavily emphasizes giving first responders salary increases
• Served as a city council member from 2020-2024
• In contrast to Yancy, open to raising property taxes if it's to "bring water and electricity, fill potholes, build parks and roads, and pay [city employees] a livable wage"
• Website: https://www.cunhaformayor.com/
• Flock: Similar to Yancy, seems to have problems with Flock but not the concept of ALPRs itself.

City Council Place 1

Mark Smith

• Incumbent, meaning he is currently holding the position
• Wants to increase bus frequency and optimize routes, as well as coordinate routes between the Aggie Spirit and Brazos Transit, especially to local medical hubs
• Favors expanding the public works department to protect important infrastructure, claims it is in dire need of repair
• Thoughts on Flock: Voted against the recent Flock contract. His words: “The flock basically adds to the public sense that their privacy is being invaded,” he said, arguing that unlike other data collection residents already live with, “this is an easier thing to stop.” Something of note is that Smith initially voted Yes on the initial contract in 2025.

Howard Mayne

• Wants to rein in taxes and fees and keep spending under control while making College Station ideal to raise a family in, and support small businesses
• Expand roads and important infrastructure, especially for first responders
• For improving infrastructure around schools
• Wants to expand attainable housing while preserving the "character" of existing neighborhoods
• Website: https://votehowardmayne.com/issues/
• Thoughts on Flock: Stated that he would renew the Flock contract for a year, but questioned Flock as the supplier (meaning he’d be open to other brands of ALPRs)

Roy May

• Wants to bring practical leadership to city council while focusing on responsible growth and fiscal discipline
• Maintain strong public safety and core services, address housing affordability, and remain fiscally disciplined to increase the tax base rather than become a burden on existing residents
• In favor of expanding the following: "Rock Prairie Road and other major mobility corridors, water and wastewater capacity, drainage and flood mitigation, and maintaining our existing streets and infrastructure"
• Supports improving sidewalk and bike-network connectivity and expand
• Website: https://www.roymayforcs.com/priorities
• Thoughts on Flock: “No. I do not support College Station continuing to use Flock but we do use license scanners in police vehicles” (Leaves out his thoughts whether those scanners should be automated, which makes quite the difference)

City Council Place 2

Chandler Arden

• Public safety is his biggest priority, promises to rein in city spending
• Wants to expand construction of single family homes
• Backed by Nancy Berry, the former mayor
• Website: https://ardenforcouncil.com/
• Thoughts on Flock: Stated that he would have renewed the Flock contract "if there was no alternative"

Michael Kidd

• Public safety and city services are number 1 priority
• Stronger regional partnerships for public transportation
• Website: I couldn't find one
• Thoughts on Flock: In response to whether he'd renew the contract: "I'd probably say no… I would have to have evidence really showing me that there's going to be safeguards… So, I would say no."

Not really much to differentiate these candidates ngl.

City Council Place 5

Tre Watson

• Believes College Station's biggest issue is displacement from wealthy investors
• Wants to deny developers from "maximizing areas" - I'm assuming this means he's against urbanization
• Wants to ensure more people can take public transit
• Website: https://www.facebook.com/p/Tre-Watson-College-Station-City-Council-61558924760090/
• Flock: "Oppose, but specifically because they won't agree to have [a] citizen oversight committee over CSPD."

Padon Holt

• Wants to build a proper downtown for College Station - as an economic hub
• Build via private investment instead of "public debt"
• Expand public transportation and increase walkability
• Website: www.padonholt.com
• Flock: "I would not have voted to renew the Flock camera contract at [the Sept. 24] City Council meeting because I truly believe the current, unregulated state of ALPR camera use leaves the door open for them to be used in ways that violate the Constitution's 4th Amendment."

Valen Cepak

• Argues against raising the property tax rate, urges responsible housing growth
• Wants to expand Chapter 380 agreements (give loans to companies) to get more jobs like Elon Musk's Terafab
• Website: https://www.valencepak.com/
• Flock: "I oppose Flock and ALPR technology."

School Board Trustee Place 6

Michelle Gallagher

• Wants to protect smaller classroom sizes
• Make teacher compensation competitive and respond to teacher needs

Kim Ege

• Incumbent
• Wants increased state funding for public schools
• Recruit best teachers and staff members

School Board Trustee Place 7

Heather Simmen

• Incumbent
• Maintain academic growth and close achievement gaps between students

Karen Strope

• Emphasizes financial responsibility with emphasis on "collaborative culture"

If I missed anything please lmk and I'll correct it. Appreciate it

Howdy,

I have a young son and we live in town. He has recently become obsessed with our band.

We already take him to march ins and the occasional weekday morning band practice.

We’d love to show him as much as we can, while still adhering to a somewhat reasonable bed time.

What time does the band fall out for Midnight Yell and begin marching to Kyle Field?

Are Arch Yells still a thing on the thursday before away games? If so, what time do these typically occur?

Thanks!

I’m posting here out of desperation. I have a laptop I use for homework which I do mostly in my dorm. Recently when I am in my dorm it refuses to stay connected to any tamu WiFi source at all. I only have this problem with my laptop, while in my dorm. I have called the help desk twice and they have given me the website for a certificate which didn’t help either time. If anyone knows what I can do please advise.

Howdy all,

Early voting for the 2026 midterm elections starts today, and 3 college station city council places plus the mayor are up for election. One of the biggest issues this election cycle concerns the city’s use of Automated License Plate Reader (ALPR) technology and our contract with the controversial ALPR company Flock Safety. Residents have raised concerns about Flock’s potential for abuse as a mass surveillance tool.

Mayoral candidate Bob Yancy (who currently sits on Council Place 5) and incumbent Council Place 1 candidate Mark Smith voted against renewing the contract with Flock Safety at a recent city council meeting on September 24. Most other candidates have stated that they would have also voted against Flock.

However, Council Place 1 candidate Howard Mayne and Council Place 2 candidate Chandler Arden have both stated that they would have voted to renew the contract with Flock.

I tried to join FLOs but I got rejected

Most of the people I’ve made friends with are busy with their own FLOs and friends or they go home every weekend.

I’m stuck in Math 150 as an engineering major and I might have to take a minor to be a full time student because I have too many credits.

I don’t know what to do. I don’t know what to join. I don’t know where to go from here

edit: ty for the advice, idk how to use reddit so ty for your patience. i do wanna say that i am in another org and it’s related to engineering, i just hate it with a passion and don’t mesh with any of the people in it. i also don’t know how to find out about other things to do so…yeah 🫩 (i do know a few things now though so thank yall)

i’m gathering that being miserable for a year is mandatory unless your extremely social or had half of your friends come here that you can use as a buffer. i will continue lying about how much i like it here to anyone who asks in real life because saying otherwise is starting to feel very awkward and humiliating. we’ll see if transferring is in my future. i’d love to hangout with anyone who wants to for the time being, i just don’t understand reddit

If Steve Sarkisian Benches Arch before Elko Benches Reed I am going to lose it.

I just wanted to put the word out there and open a thread for any peaceful debating about the midterms in Texas. Where can Aggies go to vote here in BCS?

Howdy, Ags! It's PHOTOSHOOT GIVEAWAY TIME!

As a former student, giving back to the Texas A&M community is something I look forward to every single grad season! This is my 3rd year running this giveaway program, and I'm so proud that over

Whether you're looking for a completely free shoot or want to help pay it forward for future graduates, I have 9 special spots available across three tiers:

The Tiers
3 Free Shoots: $0 total.

Hello,

I’m having a really hard time in OChem, would anyone know of any tutors? Preferably not too expensive (I’m broke) and could meet in person and female.

Hi I'm a Junior dude who wants to jam to some metal. I've been playing guitar for a year so I'm still new, but I take improving serious. Most importantly wanting a drummer, but others would be sick. I love old school like: Death, Sepultura, Pantera, Bolt Thrower, Gojira, Entombed, etc.

I am applying for fall 2027, I have mailed my transcripts but aren’t sure if that’s the format they should be sent,

I have an Intermediate Third Grade certificate 2022-2023 which is 9th grade and I have SECONDARY SCHOOL GRADUATION CERTIFICATE which combines all my 10, 11, 12 mark together, are these enough to cover all of these requirements ? My transcripts were mailed in a sealed and stamped envelope by my school.

Also I’d like to know beacuse I resubmitted my SRAR twice if I’ll be penalized as I had really bad mistakes there, but in my transcripts it doesn’t say I have pre calc-trigonometry-calc though I put them in the SRAR beacuse we took them, will it be fine?

I know it hasn’t been released yet but what do y’all think BZ and BigX’s set lists will be?
