How long to keep a 2017 accord? Current odometer 240k km/149k miles.

Hello fellow Accordians!

I have a 2017 accord, bought it second hand 6 year ago when it had 90k kms/55923 miles. Only did brakes once, got a 2 new sets of tires about a year ago. Cars been paid off for about 2 yrs now. Did the wheel joint boots last year, needed replacement. Had to get the battery replaced yesterday. All in all minimal repairs. I cannot find any reason to not keep this car going. My mechanic for past 5 yrs says its bulletproof since he says that the car is not throwing any codes even now. He says I can keep it as long as I want. How long do these things last, honestly? I do not want a car payment. But I do drive alone for work, intercity. I might rack up 600km in one week alone, most of the miles are from highway driving. That being said what do you guys think?

Keep getting this error message in my 2016 Accord Sport, has anyone ever gotten this before? I already replaced the battery sensor and tested the alternator and battery but they all came out positive

Hey everyone! I recently traded in my 2022 civic sport for a 2022 accord 2.0t, and I wanted to hear your thoughts on the switch.

I enjoyed my civic, i liked how it looked after i put all the stuff but I wanted something with more power and a little more room. The 2.0t seemed like a good upgrade.

I’d love to hear your honest opinions, both good and bad!

Engine light p0304

I have a 2015 accord sport 2.4l cvt. Has about 134000 miles. Bought it last year, had a great carfax previous owner kept up with everything.

p0304 showed up a couple weeks ago now. Once that happened I did some research and swapped with another cylinder the ignition coil and since then the light hasn't come back on and the car has felt normal. I also added some fuel cleaner as I was told it could've of been carbon buildup in the injector. Am I safe to feel like this was a small blip and nothing is really wrong? Spark plugs were changed 30000 miles ago so I didnt suspect it they would be a problem

I also generally drive it around 180 to 250 miles a week

Any advice?

I am hoping someone has insight on where to order a part for my 2026 Accord SE. I am assuming the part is called (upper grill assembly) and can not locate the part number to order on any site. I have attached a picture and tried to circle the part. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

[UPDATE] 2018 Accord 1.5T briefly showed high engine temperature after 2+ months of no issues - what could cause this?

Original post : https://www.reddit.com/r/accord/s/jzphJcMwu8

To summarize, I bought a 2018 Honda Accord LX 1.5t with 160,000 miles, which I learned afterwards has a reputation for head gasket issues. The third cylinder backfired and there was no coolant, so it overheated. I added coolant, drove it a couple days, then it overheated again. The radiator cap was off, so it either popped off or I didn’t put it on all the way.

I took it to a chain mechanic shop, who checked for leaks and said they’d guess it’s a head gasket based on the car’s reputation. I took it to another shop to get the repair, but they said it passed 3 combustion tests and pressure tests, suggested a thermostat change and go from there. Temperature was fine for 2-3 months after that.

Last week I was driving and noticed the temperature gauge climbed up an extra 2-3 bars. I shut it down, popped the hood, and on restart the temperature already dropped back to normal in that short amount of time. I drove it home with no issues, but when it cooled I checked the radiator which was low on coolant.

UPDATE: I took it to a third mechanic, who said he drove it for 10 minutes. After the drive, he left it running with the A/C on full blast for over 4 hours and said the temperature never spiked. Oil looked fine, no white smoke from the exhaust, and it didn’t drive weird at all. He said to keep an eye on it while driving, which is what I’ve been doing since I got the car.

Car people: should I just replace the head gasket anyway just to be safe? Or should I just keep an eye on the coolant and risk another overheat? 2 mechanics said it’s not the head gasket, friends and coworkers who are good with cars say it’s not the head gasket, but I have no other explanation. My friends say I’m overthinking it and paranoid, but I don’t want to total the engine on car I’ve only had for 3ish months.

Air coming out the wrong vent.

Been having this issue for the past week. I have a 2018 Honda Accord, 1.5T, and every time I try to turn the heat on to the feet, barely or no air comes to it. All of the air comes out to the defroster, even if I have it selected for feet only. This only happens when selected feet.
Does anyone know what can be the issue for this? Is there anything broken? I tried with my EDC to read any errors, it said nothing is wrong with the car.

I just want to know if it can be anything I can fix before I give up, take it to the dealer, spent 300$ and be told it was a simple fix.
