HI! I'm a college freshman who loves to sing and is super into acappella but I had zero musical experience and acapella is a little competitive at my college.

What skills can I work on to pass auditions in the spring/ are important in acappella?

I have already started to practice picking out notes in chords when played together, and I can imitate 7-8 note melodies pretty well after hearing them twice. I am also part of a choir this semester.

Would appreciate any advice or tips!
