Emmerson Mnangagwa approved to lead ZANU PF until 2037.
New amendment will decouple State Presidency and Party Presidency.
It will now go to the Cells and then Districts then Provinces.
I wonder who the new State President will be in 2030. Your guess is as good as mine.

From my personal experience growing up, I was told pass and get your high school qualifications with flying colors to earn an opportunity of studying abroad. I knew nothing better because that was the speech my parents drilled into me and so is the speech drilled into many young educated Zimbabweans.
The unfortunate Zimbabwean dream is to an extent to migrate to the diaspora for whatever further education, role or opportunity is availed to them.
I am in no way judging the mining, tender, agriculture and govt enthusiasts in making their fortune in the country but to what extent is this very high risk and dangerous sector doing to our youth? There is less interest in becoming an educated and qualified individual but a higher focus in âhustlingâ âacquiring a ford raptorâ âa deal in miningâ
Where did we go wrong and how can we fix this?

I know we are in our multitudes and multitalented. But we are scattered and have no central point of sharing our learning progress and interests. People are doing insane things with computers out there but as with most computer literate people, they have poor social skills đ .
Wouldnât it be nice if we had a GitHub organization or something similar where we can scope all our projects to.
For context see CommonHaus, which does a similar thing.
That way we get to brand ourselves as a collective, united in craft.
The long term is to kickstart a vibrant community of sharing software and just maybe this could outlive us and pave the way.
It may sound like crazy talk but whatâs the harm in trying

You cannot expect a child to engage with mathematics, science, or literature in the classroom if basic nutritional needs are unmet.
In many rural agricultural and mining communities across Zimbabwe, food insecurity remains a primary driver behind primary school absenteeism and dropout rates. When families face economic pressures, keeping children nourished at school becomes as critical as providing textbooks.
During a recent community distribution and meal service drive at Musavezi Primary School in Shurugwi, the reality was clear: consistent primary school feeding programs act as a vital safety net. By partnering with local community frameworks to provide regular meals, we help keep children in school, protect their cognitive development, and support working families.
True community development must address foundational human needs first.
Building a resilient economic future starts with ensuring our children have the nourishment and stability to learn.

Following the recent ZANU-PF conference, the factional lines between President Emmerson Mnangagwa and VP Constantino Chiwenga have broken out into the open, giving major deja vu vibes leading up to 2017.
The contrast between the two speeches was stark:
Mnangagwaâs camp focused heavily on continuity, institutional milestones, infrastructure (roads, GDP metrics), and consolidating the path toward the "2030" agenda.Â
Chiwenga, on the other hand, leaned hard into populist rhetoric. Without naming names, he dropped heavy reminders about elite looting, questioned what legacy leaders are leaving, and invoked the classic "voice of the people is the voice of God" line exact kind of messaging used right before Mugabe was pushed out.Â
This raises massive questions about how this power struggle actually plays out over the next few months:
1. Does Chiwenga have the numbers? In ZANU-PF, survival is all about patronage and numbers. While Mnangagwaâs camp controls much of the civilian party machinery and provincial structures through alignment, Chiwengaâs backbone has always been his deep ties to the security forces. Does he have enough civilian party backing to pull this off, or is he playing a dangerous solo game?
2. How would a purge even happen? If the Lacoste faction decides to pull the trigger and push him out, what does that look like? Trying the standard "vote of no confidence" playbook on a retired general with deep military loyalty is completely different from dealing with G40 or Joice Mujuru. Wouldn't that risk a direct security crisis?
3. Or does he just wait it out? Can Chiwenga afford to quietly wait until 2030? If the goalposts keep shifting to extend Mnangagwaâs rule, waiting means getting completely sidelined by age and political obsolescence.
What are your thoughts? Is Chiwenga genuinely positioning to block 2030 and force a succession battle, or is this just fierce posturing within a system that ultimately prefers self-preservation over a messy civil war? How do you see the next few months unfolding?

Hello, everyone. I wanna get braces, I'm on PSMAS medical aid...most dentists say they don't take PSMAS, and I genuinely wouldn't be able to pay cash without a bit of assistance from my medical aid. Does anyone know a dentist/orthodontist who takes PSMAS and is also pretty affordable...like who offers payment plans or something? Please help a girl out

Pic: Players from the Malawi womenâs national team warming up at the National Sports Stadium in Harare
HARARE â GALZ, an association of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people in Zimbabwe, has condemned the online ridicule of Malawiâs women footballers over their perceived masculinity, saying the comments reinforce harmful gender stereotypes.
The condemnation comes after Malawi eliminated Zimbabweâs Mighty Warriors from the race to qualify for the Olympics with a 9-0 aggregate victory in the second round of the qualifiers.
The Mighty Warriors suffered a 7-0 defeat at the National Sports Stadium in Harare on Tuesday, having lost the first leg 2-0 in Lilongwe, Malawi, last week.
In a statement, GALZ said scrutiny and mockery of the playersâ physical appearance amounted to policing how women should look and express themselves.
âA womanâs perceived muscular build, facial features, or mannerisms should never be grounds for questioning her womanhood, sexual orientation, gender identity, or subjecting her to humiliation,â the organisation said.
GALZ urged the Zimbabwe Football Association (ZIFA) and other sporting authorities to speak out against gender-based harassment and ensure that sporting spaces are free from discrimination.
âAll women, in their diversity, deserve to participate in sport without being ridiculed simply because they do not conform to conventional expectations of femininity,â it said.

Hi Zimbos. Looking for a stand/ land that can double down as a plot and a resident. The plan is to do some light agric as I build. Something at least a hactare and outside of Harare CBD ( as that will be cheaper)
Good water table , decent soils. Especially if it's coming from a Developer or Real estate company with good credibility.
