Human models in xplane.
Why human models in xplane are straight from the 90s. Is it an engine limitation?

(50 sec video, restricted to file size) Wish I could post the whole video to show more 😎
But here we go. Based on my personal experience using the AliveGrass V1 plugin for X-Plane 12, I’m genuinely impressed by how much it has improved since the initial release.
The most significant upgrades are in performance, rendering distance, and overall visual quality. Even with the grass rendering distance set to maximum, the plugin adds detailed 3D grass that extends well into the distance while having very little impact on performance. In my experience, the performance loss was typically around 1–2 FPS and was often barely noticeable.
The added vegetation gives airports and surrounding terrain a much more natural and immersive appearance without requiring a significant performance trade-off.
A few details about my footage:
The video shows my actual plugin settings.
The admin windows remain open to demonstrate real-time rendering and performance.
Maximum grass rendering distance is enabled.
There are no edits, cuts, or tricks—just raw XP12 footage.
My PC Specs:
GPU: NVIDIA RTX 5090
CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D
Naturally, performance will vary depending on your hardware, custom scenery, and airport complexity. Heavily detailed or densely populated airports may produce different results, but based on my personal experience with this addon, performance has been excellent.
The developer has clearly made significant improvements since the first version, and they are easy to see. AliveGrass adds a noticeable boost to ground detail and immersion while keeping its FPS impact impressively low.
Overall, I’m extremely satisfied with the plugin and highly recommend it to anyone looking to enhance X-Plane 12’s ground visuals.
Excellent work by the developers! 👏🌱✈️

TenaX is a small X-Plane plugin that keeps the mouse cursor on the cockpit panel.
In turbulence, or with TrackIR / Tobii, the camera moves and the panel slides under the mouse, so you end up turning the wrong knob. With TenaX the cursor moves with the panel and stays on the knob it was on.
In this video: heavy turbulence in the 737, turning the heading knob with TenaX off and then on.

Hey everyone :) AliveGrass V1 is ready for XP12 & 11 on Windows, macOS and Linux. Existing customers get both editions with the same purchase.
What changed:
One RTX 3060 user reported a 5–15 FPS impact versus 20–30 previously. Results vary; dense settings can cost more. Some loading delays, missing coverage and floating grass on uneven terrain remain.
Activate with your original order number. Two computers total, shared across XP11/XP12.
Get it: AionSky / launcher · X-Plane.org Store · simMarket - (Store updates may take time to appear.)

Thanks to everyone who tested and reported issues. Found something? Send the airport, scenery, OS and a screenshot it helps us fix it. 🌱

So... I've gotten back to what I love doing most in the sim, as well as IRL. Low and slow ~ I've been playing with (and loving) the vfliteair Cessna 150 and Thranda Cessna 172M... using it as a N model. I also saw a exellent deal on the Honeycomb NZ website. The full alpha and bravo lite bundle for only 180 USD (320NZ)! The delievery was fast, works great with Xplane 12 and great travel, tension (albeit, I feel the real aircraft most the time is actually lighter than the yoke xd). Absolutely would reccomend, as well as these 2 great payware GA aircraft.

I'm getting a little tired of airliners so, what are the the go to, long haul biz jets for XP12? In the ideal world it aside from the Lineage and the Legacy? should be study level enough that it can be flown on VATSIM but also look good. I like the G550 but it just doesn't have the visuals to back it up in my opinion.
I have been trying to update the FlightFactor 777 V2 for the past 6 hours to no avail. It gets stuck at a certain percentage for hours. I tried deleting everything and starting a fresh installation, now it is stuck at 2% for the past hour.
My internet connection is working fine, so I don't think that's the problem.
Anyone encountering this issue? Or is there any other way to update the aircraft that I don't know about?
Edit: I am using the X-Updater app.

I’ve been loving the si traffic but I hate how most regional airline models don’t match and end up as a Kazakhstan 757 or some bare metal plane what’s the best csl model pack xplane or msfs I have the model hopper

I recently fresh reinstalled the Zibo 737 and the flight was smooth at first. But when I touchdown, I suddenly reduced speed than normal and found out the plane's back tire burst. I check the failure option and found out the "fix all failure" was flashing red and blue.
Not the first time I had this, even I land softly. It happens to the Levelup 737 last time even I touch down smoothly and only use auto brakes and reverses.
Is it something to do with the aircraft random failure set to "on" by default. Because I always uncheck random failure before flight.
(Sorry for reupload, the earlier post found too confusing)
