MCU I liked Kathy Friedman, and she was a diligent journalist ✍️
Despite her physical stature, Kathy Friedman's reputation as an incisive journalist towers over much of Wonder Man Episode 7, which is fittingly named after her.
Not only does she prefer observation over extrapolation and exposition, but she also notably isn't after the seemingly salacious details of Simon's personal life that he seemed so nervous might surface about him in her research.
Instead, when it does finally come time to interview the stars directly, she opts to delve further into how Trevor was able to make such a dramatic transition from fugitive to the studio lot, and begins to ask all the things that Simon comes to realize he maybe should have been asking of Slattery all along.
Ultimately, Friedman subverts everyone's expectations throughout the episode - of herself, of Simon's brother whom she reached out to, of Simon who was overly nervous to engage with her, and in particular of Trevor, who was perhaps not nervous enough about being interviewed by her.
