I’ve only been playing the game for about a year or so (800ish hours) My buddy pulls out an US heavy cruiser with smokes and torpedoes and says “yeah I don’t really like this thing” I’ve never seen it before so I assume it’s an older ship but at tier 7 that seems extremely strong and I want one.

Well, this game was interesting

After limit 2 floods per ships asking for 50 feels excessive, just saying.

As I’m sure we all know, this new years event is going to be giving newer players a somewhat tough decision between three very rare ships (I for one would love to have both Ohio and Jean Bart), but this bundle doesn’t give me high hopes to be able to have one of them until WG decides in 5+ years to make it available again.
Does anyone think WG will ever make these available again? If so, how? Turning Ohio into a bureau project? Putting JB into Super VII crates? Neither of them really feel fitting for a rare ship to me, but to have them be THIS rare…I’m not sure how to feel about it.
Even if they made the ships available for gold after the bundle, I think many of us would be happier with that, just for this update. But I’m not sure. Any thoughts?

Hey captains trying to help my buddy who’s been playing almost a year , he’s stuck on the swamp mission for 1700 xp. He doesn’t really have the built up commanders yet and although he grinds when he can his ship choice is limited even though I believe he has the last 7 campaign ships but like I said he’s having a hard time reaching the 1700 mark. Anybody have good ideas or combo’s that might work for him. I would help him with buying an available ship like maybe Rochester or Massachusetts but I’m not really sure. Anything I use is not available to him so if you have any ideas with a ship and basic captains and in standard mode let me know so I can help him out so he doesn’t get more frustrated and lose interest in the game. Has anyone Explorer every nook and crany of the swamp i have almost only there are 2 tiles left which are still blocked one where 2 laterns are needed and one where 3 Keys are needed. My gues is monday get the laterns see whats what get the last key in the last week.

I am so f.... done with this insane mode. So many games I tried,I just finished a game with 568 k damage came to Ludwig with all 3 boosts and we were all alive. He fucked us up in no time and we barely make a MF bleed. Its imposible for me I dont know how some of you did it but I cant. Its a first insane mode for me that I cant go thru....

After about ~50 attempts I finally pulled the win with a completely random team. All players had maxed out Ludwig commanders, 2 BB, 2 DD and me in Cruiser, with me being the only death halfway through the boss fight.

Everyone stayed close to maximize heals & prioritized Soul Vessels in danger of being captured.

Now to never play insane again.

Finally beat the testicular cancer mode with some randoms, truly makes up for every bad game in that mode. I've also gotten 5k giftlets, granted it was from completing the insane mode for this patch. Goodluck to the rest of y'all who've not beaten it, I'll continue to play it to help others on randoms.

Is the last key behind the insane mission completion or the 2 lanterns space?

25 stinking losses in a row I'm the 2nd to last or last ship in every game. This is BS

i like it becose it has less bullshit than standart, it might be becose im terribly mid at the game but wont stop me and its great for most missions.

Hello there fellow captains. New player here, having a blast so far. I’m looking for help with identifying unique traits of different ships. I keep hearing people say “American AP”, “British HE”, “Soviet dispersion”, “japanese torpedoes”, “battle cruiser dispersion” etc etc. I’m wondering if someone can help point me to a place where this sort of terminology is explained? I understand the basics of the game, the different ship classes and mechanics etc but I’ve got no idea what people mean when they say these things. Without having to try and compile a list myself or google every single ship to compare stats, is there somewhere I can go or a resource I can turn to that will help me learn what these things mean? I’m very curious and interested to learn so I can get better at the game. Thanks for your time!

TL;DR: new player has basic knowledge of game mechanics but has no idea on what certain sayings regarding specific types of boats means, would like to learn!

Why don't we get stats on average team placement for games? It seems to me that average placement is just as good an indicator of performance as win rate, if not a better one.

Got the last fish that i needed, it was a mission for standard: be top 3 for Xp, and Tier 4- legendary.

I can't seem to get the stats to change other than the halving of the time period.

I do like the radar smoke combo it’s pretty fun but it feels like Maine where you just put yourself at a disadvantage and get dragged into LT over just playing Minotaur or Brisbane but I wanted to know what people thought. I guess it sits also with Gonzaga its fine and situational, a great destroyer hunter.

Hey gang, I am very new to this game and really loving it, also new to war gaming in general. I see a common sentiment here and on YouTube that terrible/new players are annoying to have on your team and I fully know I’m the problem. Please recommend things to do or watch to help!
