I'm just wondering if anyone can tell me if Peace Pipes is closed? The number doesn't seem to be in service.

My husband and I are currently looking for a room or small apartment to rent. I was the bread winner at one point but became blind in my left eye over time and such, we are kinda stuck with my disability pay as a means of income and have been staying with family in Berryville for the time being. We are quiet, stick to ourselves, sort of tenants with no criminal background, working with a very limited budget. Given the chance, we would like to move into Winchester so my husband can find work as Berryville is small, with limited job opportunities. Because my disability is permanent, we do have a guaranteed income each month to pay bills while my husband applies for work in Winchester for a proper income. We are available to move in on November 1st, of this year. If you or someone you know has rental availability, please feel free to message me or drop links in the comments below.

Anyone have an educated guess as to how much this service costs around Winchester/ Frederick county? Pretty straightforward main sewer line and it was recently cleared.

I moved to the area and havent established a vet yet. I woke up yestersay and my cat has a snaggletooth (her tooth is protruding) she doesnt seem to be in discomfort but im still anxious about it.

Does anyone know what the deal is with the guy that drives around downtown in a red truck blaring the Star Spangled Banner? He drives all around and plays it over and over again. I’m not throwing shade I am just genuinely curious why he started doing it and why he plays only that song on repeat.

It appears Winchester proper is sort of separate from its surrounding Frederick County. Over the summer there was a sudden flux of anti-data center signs. No doubt due to proposed data centers that folks didn't want. With the election around the corner, are any of those pro-data center folks on the ballot? Figuring out the positions of any of the candidates on data centers is a pain. It seems to be purposefully obfuscated.

I’m looking to get my first tattoo for my birthday in November. I know next to nothing about how that whole process works. The design will be custom so it won’t be something that would be in a pre-made catalogue.

With that in mind, what’s my first step? Do I just call local parlors in the area and meet with a few different artists?

For context, the design is inspired by LOTR. It won’t have too much color in it. Likely just black, white, and orange accents (if possible). It also wouldn’t be a huge piece, more like a band going around my forearm with some vertical elements.

If anyone has any advice or can recommend a shop/artist I’m all ears!

I know about Meadow Branch, and around old town, but what other neighborhood areas in Winchester are great for trick or treating? I’ve heard Whittier acres is a good spot with some houses with great decorations on Wood Avenue.
