Welcome to Week 6! This is Day 1 of "Hit It Rich!" Even though this is the final taped week (August 27, 2026) with Jim Thornton as announcer before he was fired, it is NOT the final aired week with him, as Week 7 (taped August 20, 2026) will be the final aired FULL week with Jim. What are your thoughts?

I’ve searched the thread and I guess not well enough, but can someone please explain to me the consonant thing they were doing during NBA week? It’s still confusing to me. If a contestant guesses two consonants correctly in a row the money adds up, but it seems like they sometimes do it and sometimes don’t.
