A client of mine needs a website to load as fast as possble, so super lightweight.. I actually suggested to build it in plain html and css. no frameworks, no plugins. might regret it later, it's gonna be a challenge for sure.

Is there a way to make frameworks or wordpress load really fast... that fast? or should I go ahead with this insane idea?

I'm trying to grow my landscaping business and figure its finally time to get a proper website isnead of just relying on facebook and word of mouth.

I contacted a few people for quotes and honestly im kinda confused lol. one freelancer offered to build it for $500, another quoted $2,000 and a local agency wants $6,000??

Im not look for anything fancy, but i also dont want something that looks cheap or unprofessional.

How much is a reasonable cost for a website? any advice is apprecaited.

Great simulator that takes you back 30 years to the internet ice age.

If you run a site and want a seasonal touch without redesigning anything, halloween.js adds blinking eyes, flying witches, a spider dropping from the top, a rising tombstone and corner webs. You choose which effects, and how loud they get (subtle, normal, party).

By default it only runs from 18 Oct to 2 Nov, so you can leave it in the page. Visitors who have reduced motion enabled don't see the animations.

Live demo where you build your own mix and copy the code: https://halloween.js.org

Got any recommendations?

It could be anything from a web host or website builder to a wordpress plugin or javascript library, or something else entirely. I'm thinking of putting together a list of useful website tools, so if you have some hidden gems to share, please feel free to drop it in the comments below.

i made this website and i want it to get more traction, its pretty fun but i do not have many players right now\

womble.fun is a free web based game site currently featuring 10 different games to play. :)

when I was 19, I started working on a simple concept for an introductory marketing class. That initial idea has slowly evolved into an early-stage project I’m calling Vortex Transformation Alliance (VTA).

The core idea I’m exploring is pretty simple: How can AI help small business owners brainstorm marketing ideas while keeping basic regulatory or compliance concerns on their radar?

Running a small business often means wearing every hat at once, and marketing can feel overwhelming—especially when trying to navigate advertising standards or industry guidelines without a dedicated legal team. VTA is an experimental tool designed to help founders bounce ideas around and highlight potential red flags to review further.

To be completely transparent: This is strictly an early prototype and a work in progress, not a finished or legal product. It doesn't replace professional legal counsel, guarantee compliance, or prevent regulatory issues, but I’m hoping it can serve as a helpful starting point for brainstorming.

I’m posting here because I’d love to learn from people who are either building in this space or running small businesses:

• How do you currently double-check your marketing copy or strategy for potential issues?
• What features or guardrails would make an AI tool like this actually practical for your day-to-day work?

If you’re curious to check out what I’m building or want to follow along, you can take a look here:

Any feedback, constructive criticism, or ideas are super appreciated!

Hi everyone,

I'm looking for honest feedback on my website: https://rebootmonitor.com

I'm not looking for promotion, but for feedback on:

• Is it clear what the product does?
• Does the website look trustworthy?
• Is the navigation logical?
• What would you improve?
• Is there any information missing that you would expect to see?

RebootMonitor is an Android app that tracks device reboots and uptime, mainly for managed and shared devices. The app is not "live" yet.

Thanks!

I’m curious what you all think: if you’ve used both Elementor and actual coding (with or without an AI helper), what feels like the biggest difference to you speed of building, how the site performs, how much control you have over the design, or something else entirely—and which one do you personally prefer for real projects?

Anybody still coding stuff in Wordpress? I won't get rid of wordpress in my code toolbox.

Is Brutalism in Web Design coming back in style or is it just because of the AI tools?

Post below and share examples!

What are the current trends you see in the websites space?

Hey all, currently rebuilding this subreddit. Once I get everything nailed down, I'll re-open it to the public! For now, please be patient. Thanks! :)

As a part time web designed I have created the following websites. How much do you guys think these few cost?

http://www.sweetonyouaz.com/ http://www.neoreflexology.com/ http://junkaz.com/ http://www.apcardio.com/ http://mebroeker.com/

The blog will have some pictures but will but mainly text. I have a specific URL in mind.

What hosting do you recommend? Something basic, there are so many options out there it is overwhelming.
