I wanted sharing to be as simple as Ctrl+V, so I built this

One thing that annoys me about sharing content online is how many steps it can take.

You copy something, open a tool, create a document or upload a file, configure sharing, copy the link, and finally send it.

I thought sharing could be simpler.

So I built ShareThings a small tool that lets you share text, images, files, code, and links through a single URL.

One feature I particularly like: you can simply press Ctrl+V, and it automatically detects what you've copied, whether it's text or an image.

No account required. No complicated setup. Just paste and share.

https://sharethings.lol/

I'm still improving it, and I'd genuinely love feedback from people who build or use web tools.

A few things I'm curious about:

  • Would you actually use something like this instead of your current sharing tools?
  • What would make you choose this over Google Drive, Pastebin, or similar alternatives?
  • What's one thing you'd change or add?

I'm especially interested in honest criticism. I built this to solve a small annoyance, but I'm trying to figure out whether it's useful enough for other people too.

I built MaLoi.ma a free website to search and read Moroccan law in French and Arabic 🇲🇦

• Upvotes

Hey everyone!

I’ve been working on MaLoi.ma, a web app that makes Moroccan law easier to access.

The idea came from a simple problem: finding and reading Moroccan legislation online isn't always easy, especially when you need a specific article without searching through long PDF documents.

So I built a platform dedicated to Moroccan law, with:

  • Searchable legislation organized by legal domain
  • Article-by-article reading
  • French and Arabic content
  • Favorites and offline access
  • A legal corpus built from Morocco’s Official Bulletin, with an OCR pipeline for scanned documents

The corpus currently contains 278 laws and over 24,000 articles.

🌐 Website: https://maloi.ma

This project is specifically for Morocco, so it probably won't be useful to everyone here. But I'd love feedback on the product, the search experience, and the technical side of building a legal database from official documents.

I'm especially interested in hearing what you think could be improved.

Thanks!

Let my app farm twitch drops for you

I made a web app that farms Twitch drops for you. No ads, no password needed. It's completely free**.**

Sign in. Select the game you want to receive drops for. Close the web and enjoy the drops. You don't need to keep the tab open or your PC on.

Follow a game, and my app will automatically start farming once that game has drops available.

Reddit tables are a pain to format by hand, so I made a tool for it

Hey everyone! I’m a solo developer behind BFOTKit. I made a table formatter to make it easier to create tables for Reddit posts and comments. It also supports X and LinkedIn.

Give it a try: bfotkit.com

If you use it, let me know how it goes. I’d appreciate any suggestions or bug reports!

Seeking Opinions on a Browser Video Cropper — Project Underway

I'm developing ClipShrink and would welcome input on a particular process: reshaping a wide video into a tall clip, and then saving it.

This cropping tool operates on your computer via the browser, requiring no login or payment. It handles files up to 250 MB and includes common aspect-ratio settings plus your own measurements.

A constraint exists: the cropping area remains stationary during playback. It will not independently track a moving person or object.

You can test it at this link: https://clipshrink.app/crop-video

When you test it using a clip that isn't private, which step seems confusing: setting up the crop area, selecting the final measurements, or saving and viewing the output?

To be upfront, the free and no-account status pertains to this specific cropping function. Video reduction requires account credits, and services in the cloud have different terms.

I built a site where strangers write one essay together, one word a minute

I got tired of group chats where nobody finishes a sentence, so I made the opposite: one public page that the whole internet writes together.

Every minute, people submit words. Then everyone votes. The winner gets stuck onto today's document and stays there. First 30 seconds of the minute you can submit. The rest of the minute is voting. Ties go to whoever submitted first. If nobody shows up that minute, nothing gets added.

No login. You just show up and type.

https://sharedpage.app

It's early and kind of fragile when a lot of people hit it at once. If you try it, leave a word and tell me what broke.

I made a free tool for creating passport-size photos online looking for feedback

Hi everyone!

I’ve been working on VedhaVertex, a free online toolkit for everyday photo tasks, and I’d love to get some honest feedback from the community.

You can use it to:

Create passport/ID-style photos.

Prepare printable photo layouts.

Create vintage-style keepsake photos.

Process multiple images in bulk.

The goal is to make these tasks simpler without requiring an account or adding watermarks.

Here’s the website if anyone wants to try it: https://vedhavertex.com/

I’d especially appreciate feedback on the user experience, photo quality, mobile usability, and features you’d like to see added.

Full disclosure: I’m involved in building VedhaVertex, so this is self-promotion. I understand if promotional links aren’t permitted here.

Thanks for any constructive feedback!

I couldn't find a decent way to print multiple browser tabs at once for work, so I built one

The problem: my job involves printing several tabs of health insurance information for the same person, over and over. Ctrl+P on each tab, wait, repeat. The extensions I found took screenshots, uploaded pages to a server, or produced a mess.

What I built: MultiTab Print, a browser extension that combines the tabs you select into one ordered preview, then prints them as a single job or saves them as one PDF. It runs locally, it's free, and it's live on both the Chrome Web Store and Firefox Add-ons.

The hard parts I didn't expect:

  • Keeping each site's styles from leaking into the others when they're combined on one page.
  • A Firefox bug where the print dialog made memory climb without limit while a screen reader was running.
  • Firefox drawing thin borders as hairlines its own print preview couldn't show.

Links:

Feedback welcome, especially if you hit a page that doesn't print well.

I made a simple, privacy-focused weather app/pwa using nodejs and React that does not "phone home"

Recently I decided to build my own web app for weather information and 7-day prediction, using open data and clear and simple visuals as an opportunity to learn a bit more about React and its inner workings (I mostly use Angular). Took me about 6 days, which was less than I actually expected, given my limited experience with React.

It works by geolocating your IP address and giving you the weather information there, You can select a different city using the search box or you can use your device's GPS for an exact location. If all else fails, the app falls back to a predetermined location (Athens, Greece). Your recent locations are stored in your browser's local storage and you can select them without having to type them again.

I also made it into a PWA so you can install it on your phone (that's how I prefer to use it).

No accounts, no personal data to collect, no cookies, nothing ever leaves your browser, except what GA4 collects. Just clear your browser's local storage and you're done.

The design extremely simple, resembling a smartphone widget (inspired by my phone's weather widget) so it's easy to scan for the info you need.

And although I created this as a learning experience and for my own personal use, I decided to made it public in case someone else finds value in it. You can find it here: kairosnow.gr

If you have any feedback, I would love to hear it.

Hey, I've been building a web app to keep track of job applications and I'd like some outside eyes on it.

Quick story: last year I was looking for an apprenticeship in France and applied on around fifteen different job sites. I ended up checking each site again and again just to know where I was. So I made Pistio.

It runs in the browser, nothing to install, and it should work on phone too. You paste a job link and the application fills itself (company, role, location, deadline, description). Indeed and Glassdoor don't allow it, so for those you paste the text. You can compare your CV to an offer and see the keywords you're missing, it's computed locally in your browser without AI, and there's a page to try it without signing up. There's also a CV editor with PDF export and a small stats page.

Free, no credit card. French only for now.

Two questions: does the landing page make it clear in a few seconds what it's for? And is anything slow or broken on your phone?

Spent ~14 months building a free tutoring platform for Romania & Moldova. Now I need users: which side first, and which channels?

I've spent about 14 months building an online platform for private tutoring in Romania and Moldova (Romanian-language, ~21M people combined). Private tutoring here is a huge, demand is exam-driven: the national exams at the end of 8th and 12th grade create peaks in Sept–Oct and in spring.

Before writing any code, we benchmarked [the classrooms of Preply, GoStudent, Superprof and the local tutoring sites / whiteboard tools]. Most local sites are just listings with no classroom at all, and the international ones are built mainly for language lessons. So we put most of the effort into the lesson itself, especially for STEM subjects.

What the product does

Teachers get a public profile in a marketplace. They chat with students, schedule lessons (one-off or recurring), assign homework and tests, and write a short report after every lesson. Parents create and supervise their kids' accounts.

  • Group lessons: a teacher can put several of their students into a group (e.g. three kids preparing for the same exam) and teach them together in a dedicated group room.
  • Video room with a real-time shared whiteboard: teacher and student draw, write and add shapes at the same time and see each other's cursors. It's an infinite canvas with blank, grid or ruled-notebook paper.
  • Phone as a second camera: the student scans a QR code and their phone joins the board, so they can photograph their notebook or homework and it lands directly on the board, without logging in on the phone.
  • Built-in math tools: a ruler you can slide and rotate and draw along (like a real one), a scientific calculator, and a shared stopwatch/countdown for timed exercises.
  • Hand tracking: on desktop, with the camera on, you can point at the board with your hand instead of the mouse.
  • Teaching materials alongside the board: the teacher opens their own PDFs, documents and images in a side panel during the lesson.
  • Persistent board: each teacher–student pair keeps the same board between lessons, so you continue where you left off.
  • "Mistake bank": the student's recurring mistakes are collected right in the lesson so they can be practiced again.
  • Interactive labs (being integrated now): STEM simulations that teacher and student work through together during the lesson.

It's free for both sides. Payment for lessons happens directly between teacher and family, outside the platform. We're planning a rewards program where students earn credits per attended lesson, redeemable for gift cards.

Questions

  1. Who do I sell to first? Teachers, parents, or students directly? My hypothesis is teachers: they can bring the students they already have, and the classroom is useful even without the marketplace. Is that the right first buyer?
  2. What's the pitch? Teachers and parents don't buy "real-time collaboration" or a feature list. Should I lead with one hero feature (group lessons, which are cheaper per student and earn the teacher more per hour; photographing homework straight onto the board; the interactive labs), with outcomes (better exam results, less chasing students), or with short demo videos?
  3. Which channels, with a small budget? We've already run some campaigns on Facebook, Instagram and Google Ads. We also post on TikTok, but the account isn't taking off, average views being around 300. What would you change: a different creative angle, different targeting, or dropping paid ads and going direct (teacher Facebook groups, outreach to tutors, schools, tutoring centers)? How much would you spend before calling a channel dead?
  4. How do I sell against "free and good enough"? Most tutors already teach over WhatsApp + Zoom and get paid in cash. What makes someone switch tools they're used to?
  5. Free now, paid later? Everything is free today. If I eventually charge, who's more likely to pay (teachers for the classroom, or parents for reports and supervision), and how do I introduce pricing without losing the early users?

PassPict - passport and ID photos, processed in the browser

PassPict is a web app for passport, visa, ID, and driving-licence photos.

You pick the country and document. It loads that size and head guide, then gives you a digital file and a 4×6 print sheet. The image is cropped in the browser and is not uploaded. No account. Ads keep it free.

https://passpict.com/

Is the "nothing is uploaded" part obvious before someone picks a photo?
