App - Free My watch doesn't export sleep stages data to Health Connect, so I've vibe-coded an app to estimate them. Now I can use OpenVitals and Sleep as Android to view sleep stages graphs as I used to do with my old watch. Feel free to use, fork and do whatever you want with it

App - Free [DEV] I built "Red for Reddit": a native, fast Reddit client for Wear OS 4/5 (Always-on Display reading, video player, multi-photo carousel & offline session) — 100% Free & Open Source (GPLv3)

Hey r/WearOS! 👋

Ever since third-party apps vanished, browsing Reddit comfortably on a smartwatch felt practically dead. I wanted a modern, buttery-smooth client that felt truly native on Wear OS—so I built Red for Reddit.

It's completely free, tracker-free, and open-source under GPLv3.

Key Features on the Watch:

  • Continuous Always-On Display (AOD) Reading: When your wrist goes down, the exact post, article, or comment tree stays visible in a pure GPU-monochrome high-contrast mode (1Hz AMOLED friendly, zero screen blur, massive battery savings).
  • Smooth Image Carousel: Swipe through multi-photo galleries with your finger (HorizontalPager) complete with Instagram-style pagination dots and counter.
  • Native Video Player: Integrated ExoPlayer supporting HLS and MP4 streams with audio unmute and loop.
  • Rotary & Bezel Support: Smooth haptic scrolling using Horologist Rotary on Galaxy Watch rotating bezels and Pixel Watch crowns.
  • Comment Tree & Interaction: Upvote, downvote, save, reply via on-screen keyboard or voice-to-text, and edit/delete your own comments.
  • Glanceable Tiles: 3 interactive Tiles for your carousel (Personal Feed, Saved Posts, and Flash Headlines—no useless karma widgets).
  • Search & Filter: Search communities and posts by Sort (Hot, New, Top, Relevance) and Time range (Day, Week, Month, All).
  • Autonomous Long-Term Session: Sign in once with the companion app; the watch maintains and refreshes its own session autonomously without needing your phone nearby.
  • Multilingual: Automatic locale detection (English, Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, Italian) including relative timestamps ("2h ago", "hace 2h", "il y a 2h", etc.).

Download & Source Code:

Tested thoroughly on Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 and compatible with any Wear OS device.

Feedback, bug reports, and PRs are super welcome! Hope you guys enjoy having Reddit on your wrist again.

UPDATE: Fixed repository privacy, the link must work now

App - Testers Wanted [Dev] Looking for testers: Wear OS running, cycling and hiking app with turn-by-turn navigation and offline maps (plus fully custom data screens, intervals…)

I've built a training app for Wear OS watches, RawPace, and I'm looking for people who train with their watch and would like to try it before it's published.

What it is: an app for running (road and trail), cycling (road, MTB and gravel) and hiking (trekking and walking), with routes with turn-by-turn navigation and offline maps on the watch itself, fully customizable data screens designed to be read on the move, and interval workouts. It supports Bluetooth heart rate straps, syncs with Strava, Runalyze and Health Connect, and exports FIT and GPX. No account needed. More at rawpace.app.

Why I made it: I've used sports watches for many years (Garmin, Suunto, Coros, Polar, Amazfit…) and every now and then I tried to move to Wear OS for its flexibility (NFC payments, LTE…), but GPS and heart rate weren't where I needed them and I always went back to a sports brand. Current Wear OS watches have improved a lot, and in my experience their data is now good enough to train with. What still frustrated me were the apps: screens you can barely customize, no external heart rate strap, no route following. So I started, without big plans, building the app I wanted. It grew much more than I expected, and I think it now covers what most people who train regularly need.

What I'm looking for:

  • Testing on different watches. I've only been able to test it in depth on two (Pixel Watch 5 and Galaxy Watch7), plus a few more through early testers, and I need to know how it behaves on others.
  • Honest feedback on what works, what's unnecessary and what's missing, so I know what to polish before release.

Requirements: a watch with Wear OS 5 or later and an Android phone (it doesn't work with iPhone).

How to join: email [hello@rawpace.app](mailto:hello@rawpace.app) with your watch model, your phone and the Google account you use on Google Play (please don't post your email in the comments). I'll add you to the test and send you the install link. The step-by-step guide and what's worth testing are here: rawpace.app/test. It's in Google Play's internal testing, so the store page shows the package name, com.rawpace.app (unreviewed), with a generic icon: that's normal at this stage. I'll give access gradually, so it may take a few days. If you tell me in a comment which watch and phone you have, it helps me prioritize.

Testing is free, and thanks in advance to anyone who wants to help. When it's released, the plan is a one-time purchase, and everyone who tested it will get it for free as a thank-you.

Hablo español — if you prefer, write to me in Spanish ([hola@rawpace.app](mailto:hola@rawpace.app)). The app and the guide are available in Spanish too.
