I love gaming but I've grown to hate the gaming community. It's just awful. It wasn't always this kind of awful. 20 years ago we had console wars but it was a small part of the community you could totally dismiss. But now everywhere you go it's just WAAAAAAH and death threats to dev families

They punish the absolute best behavior.

It's no wonder game companies don't interact with comments and even completely stop reading them, I don't blame them. You people are impossible to please, and quite a lot of you are extremely low quality people with absolutely no maturity.

edit: I am not saying you can't criticize the game, I'm saying be polite and reasonable when you do. The game is obviously flawed and they need feedback. Just stop throwing temper tantrums over it.

edit 2: Anyone know a better behaved community to talk about wardogs out there besides this subreddit? Preferably not another subreddit.

Not to be another negative nelly but I'm literally watching a streamer with thermals on top of a tower in the rain cash in like $175k 0 kills. The score is currently 33 Blue 13 Red 28 Green.

Absolutely broken mechanic. He even admits it's foolish.

Very unbalanced.

It’s supposed to be the end game Lmg for support but it does worse than literally any other Lmg. Takes longer to kill, box mags only hold 50 and it’s a 2x2 like other Lmg box mags. Recoil is through the fucken roof even when bipoded. And to get any barely attachments worth while you either need level 43 support for a suppressor( it doesn’t help at all with recoil) or level 30+ RECON to get a decent barrel attachment even then it’s still worse then the pkm or m249 by a wide margin. This thing needs a buff or some kind. Idk what but something.

As I’m sure most of you are aware Lone Star (aka Blue) has their own cassette that you can only play if you’re on their team, yet red and green don’t.

I’ve made this post to bring to light this blatant favouritism and injustice and to share my suggestions and have you all share yours as well for possible team only cassettes for all the teams.

Short and sweet don't care if its an unpopular opinion but Id really like to see the map when I join the game. I want to see what I am going into and how to kit, I don't want to be blind. I get their intentions and reasons for doing it...I just don't enjoy this.

I genuinely think one of the biggest problems with vehicle balance in War Dogs is that so many people simply hate vehicles and let that hatred dictate their opinions.

The moment a helicopter kills them, they want nerfs. There’s very little consideration for the skill involved, the cost of running vehicles, available counters, or how other vehicles compare. Something being frustrating to play against doesn’t automatically make it overpowered.

The Season 2 AH-6M nerfs are a perfect example. The most skill-based helicopter gets GUTTED, and people celebrate because they don’t like dying to it. Meanwhile, the AH-6R and Havoc raise entirely different balance concerns.

I’m not against nerfs. I’m against nerfing things based on community outrage rather than objective analysis. Vehicles should have weaknesses and counterplay, but skilled players should also be rewarded for mastering them.

War Dogs is a combined-arms game. The goal should be balancing infantry, ground vehicles and air vehicles together, not making vehicles progressively worse until the people who hate them are satisfied.

nerfs:

• minigun does ~60% less damage to infantry (not 25% like the patch notes suggest)
• more vulnerable to all types of bullets (including other miniguns)
• permanently dirty windshield hindering visibility
• reduced handling/yaw
• purchase price and unlock price doubled
• stacking bullets from backpack to heli inventory is slower

indirect nerfs:

• ciws blind spot reduced
• ciws and talon sam cheaper to build
• less cash awarded for destroying supplies, ciws, sams, drills, all vehicles except for armed versions of multi-variant vehicles

new counters:

• flakpanzer gepard anti-air vehicle
• m2 browning 50 cal emplacement and vehicles
• large shelter to cover bases and assets
• rain

indirect buffs:

• talon sam reload time increased
• talon sam drains more ammo
• building is a tiny bit slower overall
• more cash for destroying armed versions of multi-variant vehicles (but less than before for non-armed)

miscellaneous:

• minigun sight is now centered
• sometimes rolling gets stuck/bugged until you crash and die :)
