Moov rent a car - scam

Hi all,

I wanted to warn others that might be considering booking a rental with Moov rent a car in Mallorca. When I was looking for a car rental place, I found Moov rent a car and saw they had amazing Google reviews. We booked a car and picked it up in September.

They gave us a car that was covered in scratches. The agent told us we had 10 minutes to inspect the car; otherwise, we would need to pay for parking. We had the car for 3 nights and brought it back in the same condition we got it. A different agent came to pick up the car and was claiming we caused a scratch and that we should have got the red package which seemed suspicious. They then sent us a bill for 500 euros for this scratch which suspiciously is the amount of the deposit. They also sent us this bill 2 hours after they picked up the car almost like they had it ready.

Now here is where it gets interesting... I ended up going to Google reviews and posting a negative review. Prior to my negative review there were about 4 other negative reviews. About a week after, all the negative reviews were taken down. I also looked on other sites and saw that they're pulling the same scratch scam with other people.

Don't trust their google reviews and don't rent here.

Honeymoon Hotel Recommendations

Hello!

We will be going back to Mallorca next year for our honeymoon in July 2027 (I know, peak season!). We have stayed in an Airbnb in the past, and just wanted some recommendations for some hotels.

We will be there for 8 nights, and are leaning towards splitting our time in different areas of the island. We are trying to stay under $500 a night, but will splurge for the right place, especially being peak season.

Some hotels we are debating are Ca's Xorc, Hoposa Costa Dor, Hotel El Vincenc de La Mar, and Can Ferretta (above budget, but is it worth the money?)

We stayed in Cala Dor on our last visit, and it was nice, but we know it will be peak season when visiting so unsure, but also thinking of Aluasoul or Inturotel Cala Azul.

We are open to staying in all areas of the island as well. We are going to have a rental car, so there's no issues with transportation. We would love to hear your recommendations!

Hotel or Finca with Garden

I’m excited to be planning a mother-daughter trip for early May of next year and I’m looking for hotel/finca/agroturismo recommendations.

Specifically, I’m looking for:

- location in the Serra de Tramuntana region
- has a beautiful and spacious garden or outdoor area; I want to be able to wake up and wander the property, have somewhere outside to sit while I journal and read
- I prefer a more rustic style, rural, bonus points if it is a stone finca or historic building
-would prefer breakfast available but not necessary.

Thank you in advance!
