what's the secret to looking consistently good across different lighting NSFW

is it makeup? and on that note how does that work for the low contrast girls who look worse with heavier makeup? sometimes my makeup disappears under certain lighting but if i go heavier it looks clownish.

not talking about different cameras and lens distortions btw - more in like cases of in real life, on the same camera in different lighting, etc.

i esp notice that a lot of celebrities (with all different types of facial features) look consistently the same across different lighting, so is it a hardmaxxing procedure? you could argue that it's bc we've seen them in a wide range of lighting so we recognise their features more easily bc of exposure, but even the most gorgeous girls that i know irl, and have seen under all different types of lighting, look different and can be nuked by a certain lighting setup.

*also not talking about the types of lighting that objectively make everyone look bad lol

how to stop being awkward/offputting NSFW

asking here because i think people underestimate how important it is to have social skills as well as being pretty to open up doors, i’ve done all the hard work and i regularly get complimented on how i look (sorry! not trying to brag or show off i just wanted to add some context) and while it has helped me in many ways, people are often more tolerant of my awkwardness and i’ve managed to be considered for jobs i wouldn’t have otherwise due to my social skills, i know i can’t rely on my appearance forever and i really want to stop being known for just how i look.

ive never in my 21 years of life been complimented for my personality, its always been my looks, fashion, hair etc and it is a bit upsetting to me but i can’t really complain because i understand why

i can genuinely tell that im not a very interesting person to speak to, im very soft spoken, my storytelling and delivery skills are ass, i just don’t know what the appropriate reactions or things to say are and i hate it so much. i feel like everyone else knows these unspoken rules and i find it so hard to conform, whenever ive talked about this online people have suggested i may be neurodivergent but i really don’t think thats the case, i just don’t think i socialised enough as a child

ive taken a year out of education to work on this among other reasons as i know its going to hold me back in my career too

i just find myself not knowing what to say or when, after being shy and quiet for most of my childhood i don’t think i got the practise in when i should’ve and now as an adult its glaringly obvious when i m around other people my age

does any have any advice? ive been trying to specifically put myself in social situations, even meeting up with strangers on this app i found and going to social events but its like no matter how much i interact with people, im still the same person and i despise it, i hate how quiet and awkward i am and im so desperate to improve and change

im even on social anxiety medication - setraline but to be honest while it has taken the anxiety away; i dont really have the social or speaking skills to be a fun person to speak to

my ultimate goal is to be like my friends who can someone get along and leave a good impression with anyone, and to stop being so awkward and uncertain and strange. i want my social skills to build connections and open up doors for me, and not hold me back in life but i truly don’t know how to

SOFT-MAXXING Facial hollows and Volufiline NSFW

Hey! Writing this as someone who has dealt with genetic hollowed under eyes and nasolabial folds.
I started using Volufiline last May and I’ve had great success with it so just wanted to share my experience for people who are considering it as an alternative to fillers. This is my rating of the 3 brands I’ve tried:

  1. Tosowoong from Yesstyle. Probably the best volufiline I’ve tried, made a difference in my folds after 2-3 nights of application. The tear trough took longer so I’d say after a week?! First I’d apply it after my Mary&May tranexamic acid eye cream and it simultaneously brightened my hollows as well. I think this mix made the biggest difference even thought i tried that eye cream with other volufilines too. After a while, I’d apply it directly on the folds after serums without mixing it and it worked! I feel like it filled in my hip dips, but a minuscule difference. I dabbed whatever was leftover on my breast, neck and cheeks and it did lift and accentuate the cheeks the most. I do lymph draining massages and facial yoga so it might be a byproduct of those.
  2. Sederma from amazon (ik a bad decision). Didn’t really make a difference but temporarily made my skin feel more plump but that’s all. Not the worst but the $ wasnt justified.
  3. The Ordinary! The worst one. I don’t if I was allergic to the oil they used or the purity of the Volufiline itself, it broke me out on cheeks and tear trough and gave me milia which I never had before. Made no difference, not even plumping. I highly suspect most of the hype comes from incentivized reviews.

Again, this is just my experience and I’m not saying there’s any scientific evidence behind a volufiline serum. I think a $30ish expense before filler is worth it if your hollowness annoys you. I could provide photos if you’d like!

SOFT-MAXXING Your experience with hairline electrolysis NSFW

Hi everyone!

I have a rather small forehead with a moderate m shaped hairline. I have been researching hairline electrolysis to improve my hairline. I am hoping to make it more feminine and rounded out. I have come across the basic sources online eg. Rita Hayworthn Kim K.

I am interested in hearing your experiences!

How many sessions did you need? What was the pain like? Do you have any regrets?❤️

substance for women that is the equivalent of testosterone for men NSFW

many men take testosterone for increased masculine features like hair growth, muscle mass, neck width etc. obviously it can also have drawbacks, but i was wondering if there is a similar substance for women that increases feminine fat distribution, less hair, etc. i have often heard people say that taking exogenus estrogen is bad for biological women but im not totally sure why. would progesterone be more equivalent? im just curious as a woman with pcos/pmos. ive never really been recommended anything by doctors that i think would help with my physical masculine features. wondering if any women in this sub have experience with increasing feminine features

Edit: I am on spironolactone for a year, as well as birth control for ~6 years. Also take glp-1. at a normal bmi bow. really feel like not much has changed :/

SOFT-MAXXING Non filler treatment for nasolabial folds NSFW

Title.

I am going to Korea for a few days to a week soon and one high ROI item for me is minimizing my nasolabial folds. For my age (23) I consider them deeper than others and it appears prominently in pictures. My folds aren’t from weight (I am 113lbs at 5’5) and I think it’s potentially from unlucky fat volume near where my mouth creases but I’m not sure. I have less collagen than most for my age though according to a scan as a function of my poor sleep habits.

I want to fix them but I am afraid of filler and how it can migrate, non surgical is the route I am trying to go.

I hear ultherapy is a good alt but apparently it’s not common for the people my age.

Any thoughts? Any help or advice is much appreciated, thank you!! <3

My journey to becoming slightly more attractive, part 3 NSFW

Hi ladies! I’m happy to answer your questions and help. Hopefully, you can learn a bit from my experience. I will post my before and after pictures in my profile, since I can’t attach them here. Here is the third part of my long journey from being unattractive to becoming slightly more attractive. Currently I am 30yo

Topicals. Makeup, hair and clothes, jewelry
Creams and topical products:
Tinted SPF 50 - must have
A-Derma Exomega control moisturiser- must have
A-Derma oil - must have

Acne: Clindamycin 10/10 for short use
Azelaic acid 8/10, works well with tretinoin and benzoyl peroxide but be careful with your barrier, works for spots
Benzoyl Peroxide 8/10, can dry your face, makes it slightly grey after too much usage
Tretinoin 8/10 personally I found it difficult to be consistent, especially if you get sick often

Spots
The Ordinary сыворотка Alpha Arbutin 2% - 9/10 for lightening your skin spots after pimples
Vitamin C , tried so many, Timeless was the most popular - 5/10, worked well with Arbutin but doesn’t do much, it just protects your skin
Timeless Coenzym Q - 6/10, it’s fine
Eucerin Antipigment with Thiamidol - 8/10, removed my melasma spots

I just wanted to add I tried so much stuff but came to the conclusion that most of it doesn’t do much really. In the list I only mentioned those products which I bought several times.

Makeup.
I remember I spent hours and hours learning how to do my makeup. Always something felt off. It just doesn’t work like that. If basic is fine, and professional grooming is done, you need 10 minutes of makeup only. If basics are not there, makeup might not improve drastically someone’s look. My makeup includes foundation or spf, blush, pencil, lip tint and lip gloss. Some parfume too.

Hair.
I tried different hair colours and it almost always would end up messing it. Especially blonde ones. It doesn’t really make you more attractive. I realised you should be already attractive, and then hair should only underline it. Again, for me the base should be there, no inflammation, healthy weight and good diet.
I recommend never fry your hair with light shades, it would most likely make your hair look damaged. Long, healthy shiny hair will always win. Short, bright colours are appreciated by women only. For myself, I started colouring my hair slightly darker and added fake curls.
Products:
Aminexil and Minoxidil- both work but dangerous for cats
Ducray Anaphase - looks like it works but I am not sure I would buy it again
Good diet is key for healthy hair for most women without other health problems.

Clothes.
Kibbe system does work. I get the
most compliments when I am dressed according to my kibbe, and it was happening even before I was aware to which type I belonged. I also started modifying and tailoring clothes which I already have, for example I started changing necklines on my dresses and shirts. I always wear dresses if I want to feel attractive.

Jewelry
I always try to have a necklace, chain + hoop earrings. It creates symmetry, makes a simple look more sophisticated and complete.

Tracking your cycle
If I am in control of the events, I try to organise them on dates when I am ovulating. It works wonderfully, the skin is plump but not puffy or inflamed, no water retention or acne. The mood is great and talkative. Obviously, confidence is usually over the top.

MASTERPOST My journey to becoming slightly more attractive without surgery, part 2 NSFW

This is my second part of my journey. I want to talk about grooming, non - invasive procedures.
In my case it was clear that if basics are not there, grooming and procedures will not help.
I will talk in terms of points what I tried and what was worth it. I would also pinpoint that I disagree with the beauty pyramid because of certain aspects. Basic grooming is short term but also time consuming. If you are like me, I would hop onto the professional grooming first such eyelashes extensions, microblading, lasers, dentistry and only then focus on makeup, hair and clothes.

Eyelashes 9/10 (depends on the individual, right form makes an eye drastically bigger. There are C, M, D eyelashes. Some people absolutely don’t need it and it might look ridiculous on them. If you’re brighter skin colour, avoid harsh black fake eyelashes)
Microblading 9/10 (saves time, you have a perfect form for your eyebrows. If done correctly only. You shouldn’t try to save the money on this procedure because it’s permanent.
Lip blush 5/10 (okayish, it can only improve your lips by 10-20%, insignificant in terms of giving your face overall balance)
Dentistry 6/10 (my teeth were slightly crooked, I fixed it but overall it only slightly improved my facial balancing. For some people braces might be a must have, for others not. After two years I also got jaw problems, so do it carefully.
Professional teeth whitening 2/10 (doesn’t last long, just get strips).

Cosmetology : Finding good dermatologist was key for me, she knows what my skin needs.
1. Salmon sperm injections 3/10. I did Rejuran, TwAc. (Too painful, first few days the face was red. After 4 weeks my face was smooth and glowing, effect is short term, lasts 1-2 weeks)
2. Plasma 5/10 (less painful, the skin is plump. A professional dermatologist should know how to get different types of cell for different skin problems)
3. Fotona laser for skin scarring 5/10 (skin improves by 10-20%, several rounds are needed. My scars were and still visible however I realised it doesn’t disturb the overall face balance too much overall. For some people it might be more severe, so it’s always individual dependent).
4. RRS NA Cellutrix. This meso was supposed to help me from being bloated. 1/10. Waste of time and money.
5. Rf microneedling 5/10 first time (it did tighten up my lower face area, I have chubby face. It can melt fat though, don’t recommend under eyes, on the forehead), 9/10 second time but no under eyes and no forehead, it really did tighten up my jowls after third child
6. BBL laser 1/10 (I don’t know why my previous dermatologist recommended it to me. I had no sun spots, was useless. For some people the effect might be 10/10).
Let me mention Accutane again 10/10. Honestly you don’t need to do any of these injectable procedures, just get on low dose Accutane for some time and effects would be much better than any laser or injections except for Botox maybe. I know some people have prejudice against it but if you want a perfect skin, it is the best way.

Health
Splint for my jaw. 10/10 (if you get jaw arthritis you need it. My face looks much better now, not as bloated)
Sinusitis or allergies treatments, hormonal spray mometasone 10/10. (My nose gets smaller, less inflamed. Talk to the doctor about different hormones and options long term).
Gluten free, sugar free diet, lots of potassium foods for dinner. 10/10 (no bloating is key for attractiveness).
Taurine, helps with puffy face
Low Stress. Stress makes my skin dehydrated, bloated. It’s key for being attractive. Try to get under control your chronic stress. Don’t be afraid to get out of frames which society has burned us with.

HEALTH- MAXXING The main key to facial beauty that is rarely talked about: strength training NSFW

I’m 29F, and after years of trial and error, Ive noticed something pretty wild about the way my face changes depending on what I do with my body.

I wasn’t particularly super beautiful in my early 20s, but I did have mostly clear skin. My biggest issue was that I was “skinny fat”, I had basically no muscle definition anywhere and I never really thought about what that might mean for my face and neck too.

Then, around 23, I started lifting weights. And when I say lifting, I mean actually lifting heavy shit. Progressive overload, training close to failure and building real muscle. I originally did it because I wanted to change my body and improve my health overall.

I had NO IDEA what it was going to do to my face.
Overtime my face started changing. My jawline became noticeably more defined, my cheeks looked fuller and more plumped. My skin also looked brighter. And i know it might sound weird, but I started noticing that my face looked more symmetrical in pics.
The crazy part is that I was intentionally bulking at the time so it wasn’t because I was simply getting thinner.

And then life happened and after about three years of consistently working out, I had to stop for roughly a year and a half. I lost almost all the muscle I had built. But I also noticed that my face changed too.

I suddenly looked older in pics, my cheeks looked flatter and my skin was duller. My jawline wasnt as defined and I remember looking at pictures of myself and thinking, is this just what getting older looks like?. I assumed it was age, that I simply reached that point where your face starts changing and theres not much you can do about it.

Then, last year I started lifting again. And I swear to you, I got my face back.

My muscles came back, but so did the fuller looking cheeks, brighter skin and more defined jawline. The difference in my photos is honestly shocking to me. And the funniest part, I got mistaken for 19 the other day.

Im aware that genetics, body composition, skincare, hormones, sleep and nutrition all play a role. But I do think there’s something people overlook:

Your face and neck are connected to the rest of your muscular system, and when you train your body youre not just changing your body. There is also the facial/neck muscle engagement that happens during heavy lifting and the increased blood flow. Those muscles are getting worked indirectly too, and in a way is pretty similar to face yoga.

Honestly, i feel like I accidentally found a cheat code that almost nobody talks about but that everyone should know.

So If youre sitting here wondering what you can do to improve your beauty…maybe start by getting strong!

My journey to becoming slightly more attractive without surgery NSFW

I decided to make this post for women who are currently struggling with their looks and looking for some improvement. I wasn’t really attractive in my teenage years and my younger university years and unfortunately I think it affected my life satisfaction deeply. I wonder how my life would turn out if I was conventionally attractive after reading how it can affect grades, job prospects, potential partners. And I really want to help girls out there who are struggling.

Part 1. Basics are key

Skin health
My first life changing thing was Accutane. It is a miracle drug indeed. If you have thick skin, comedons on your nose, acne, and oily skin Accutane might improve the quality of your skin by 70-80%. Recent research also shows that it drastically reduces inflammation. My nose became smaller, my face became smaller, I wasn’t constantly so freaking puffy and swollen. I got my first boyfriend (I was 20) and suddenly 3 other guys wanted to date me, one literally wrote a love letter, wtf. I was shocked, that never happened to me previously. In the meantime I also lost weight.

Weight
That was my second change. Nothing drastic, 5-7 kg. I was healthy BMI before but in terms of attractiveness it doesn’t work like that. We need to be either thin or athletic with low body fat. Younger women can afford not exercising but as you get older and lose muscles, it’s better to start weight training or Pilates and gain lots of muscles, doing only cardio in many cases does nothing for a shape of the body. Cardio should be a supplement. I would also recommend have as few weight fluctuations as possible and increase your weight slightly as you get older.

Inflammation
Now let me say a few things about the diet which I personally didn’t know. For losing weight CICO is enough. But for a better look I recommend to study how certain foods affect your face. It turns out that gluten, sugar, too much milk and salt make my face puffy and inflamed. Now if I want to feel good about myself, I avoid these products.

Health and inflammation
I have/had chronic sinusitis, allergies and jaw problems, slight asymmetry due to habits. Fixing these things drastically changes my facial structure. For others I think even slightest health problems can also affect their appearance.

Priorities
A few words about priorities and how they work. I was pregnant three times and gained around 25kg on average every pregnancy and always bounced back to my 55kg weight. No diet, no exercise during pregnancy for me personally. And then after that, my body immediately becomes a second priority after kids. Yes, I am talking about if I had a choice between taking a shower or Pilates when baby is sleeping, I would always choose Pilates. Eating or Pilates? Pilates. You got me. Why was I so obsessed? Because I knew priorities matter. You can skip a shower and be stinky but then the next day you shower and it will be all fine. You can eat while you’re with a baby. Whereas with exercise and weight loss the change is accumulative and it needs 100% of your attention. Also, if you are postpartum wear a special tight underwear which holds your belly tight at all times. Gravity pulls the belly down, the underwear can help to avoid the tummy tuck.

So far that’s all for now. I will write part two later. Ask me anything!

Nose job + lip lift healing question NSFW

Hi guys, I'm most likely getting a nose job later this yr/early next! I have a face that's a bittt on the longer side though I think can be mitigated if I put on some weight again 🤞🏽 and a philtrum thats also on the longer side (13mm). So I'm thinking a lip lift might balance out the philtrum-lengthening impact of the rhinoplasty, because I do have a pretty droppy tip that I will be getting lifted. My mother is a little hesitant to let me get the lip lift mostly bc she's worried it'll be too much trouble healing alongside the nose job. For anyone who's gotten both done, what was the healing process/effects you experienced for each/was either one worse? And did you get them done in the same surgery - that's my understanding of how it's done usually?
