General Question Ride from Arlington to UVA and back

I want to visit my sweetie in Cville this week and come back on Sunday or Monday.

She can usually find a ride to share gas and such, but the opposite direction seems like a ride share would be unlikely.

Any recommendations? A particular bus line or Amtrak?

Thanks.

Internships/Careers Fourth years: you can apply to an MBA now and start a few years later (deferred MBA)

• Upvotes

For fourth years thinking about business school eventually: several MBA programs let you apply now, before you start working.

Darden has one (the Future Year Scholars Program), and so do Harvard (2+2), Stanford, Wharton, Columbia and MIT Sloan. If you're admitted, you work for a few years and then start the MBA with your seat already held.

I applied to Stanford's as a senior at UT Austin and got in. I worked in investing after graduation, then left to start my own business, and my seat stayed there the whole time.

This year's deadlines are in April: Stanford on April 7, Columbia on April 15, Wharton on April 21 and Harvard on April 28.

Happy to answer questions in the comments.

Academics Is GIS+lab, Intro Chem +wks+lab, and my 1st ENWR too much for one semester?

+ my engagement (I'm a first year) but that's chill.

Would this be too much for next semester? I feel like it's fairly hard but not too crazy. ENWR is my only reading heavy one (right?), Chem is my hard STEM, GIS is my interesting but potentially time-consuming elective.

I'm also EVSC+ETP prospective major (chem is required, GIS is an elective)
