Alright folks, enough is enough.
Every BO/hygiene post turns into:
race-baiting
weird stereotypes
drama for no reason
Weāre not doing this anymore.
š« All BO/hygiene posts = removed
š« All race-baiting in the comments = removed
š« Repeat offenders = time-out
We get it. Sometimes people smell bad. It happens. But we canāt keep having the same posts about it over and over.
For that reason, these threads will be removed going forward.

Does anyone know what his sign said? I couldn't read it lol

I just finished the Biol 1410 exam and decided to ask AI what I got and show the questions. Well anyway, I managed to do worse than last year and last year I failed miserably. I studied but I donāt understand why I keep getting such low marks. I understand the material to a point but I feel like I definitely understand more than what I get on the exam. Iām starting to think uni isnāt for me.
Last year in a different class I was getting 80s in my exams so genuinely donāt get why I canāt do this one. Itās like once I step into the exam room all my common sense goes out the window and I forget everything Iāve been studying. Iām really thinking about dropping out because my GPA is already low from a class I failed last year because I was depressed. Like I donāt know what to do. I was confident at the start of this year that it would be different but maybe not.
Maybe I should be doing college courses instead of university courses? Are they easier in any way or is it just that the programs are 2 years long? Iāve already made the decision that I want to do a different profession but still in the healthcare field so either way I think Iād need this class.
Maybe Iāll just work a minimum wage job the rest of my life and marry someone rich.
Edit: I have another exam tomorrow and havenāt even started studying for it cause Iāve only been studying for this bio 1410 exam which I failed. I feel sick to my stomach y stomach.

Whoever took my all black Owala water bottle off the water fountain on the 1st floor of Drake count your days. I canāt decide whether I think someone mistook it for their own or straight up stole it. I was pissing for 1.5 minutes tops and went back to see it missing.
Is there a lost and found in Drake?
And who tf steals a water bottle?????? Gross

The midterm wasnāt as bad as i expected but never AGAIN am i going to rely on the practice exam questions because the wordplay in the midterm was on a different level.
AI told me i got a 90% on midterm but iāll confirm that when i see the answer key. How was the exam for everyone else?

Long story short I applied to a program for the winter term and just got my rejection letter stating I was missing a pre-req. My Written course.
but I actually completed ARTS1110 this summer, but the catch is the grade is still In Progress.
There was a note posted to UMLearn stating the faculty was behind and the marks would be handed in on the 9th and it would take a couple of days. This wasnāt posted from the prof herself but someone with the last name honeysomething.
Where/who do I go to have this resolved.

I arrived to a midterm exam slightly late. Only brought my pencil, didn't bring my backpack (or any bag), and I didn't think to give my phone to the invigilators beforehand.
I'm probably just being paranoid but I'm worried that they noticed my phone in my pocket (wore jeans today and it was visible) and will write me up. Should I be worried?

Hey everyone,
Iām an international student at the University of Manitoba, and I wanted to clarify something regarding IRCCās on-campus work regulations.
From what I understand, IRCC considers employment within a universityās campus boundaries to be on-campus work, even if the employer is a private company.
I specifically wanted to ask about these two locations:
Princess Auto Stadium (Blue Bombers Stadium)
Smartpark Research and Technology Park
According to the University of Manitoba campus boundary maps Iāve checked, both locations appear to fall within the universityās campus boundaries. Iāve attached a map for reference.
Would employment at these locations officially be considered on-campus work under IRCC regulations?
Iām particularly looking for responses from international students who have either worked at these locations and confirmed their employment was considered on-campus, or received direct confirmation from a UM international student advisor.
Iād appreciate firsthand experiences or official confirmation rather than assumptions.
Thanks in advance!

Iām a first year student. I decided I would take all of my classes in person this year as I feel I learn best in a classroom environment and actually enjoy listening to lectures.
With that being said, I was thinking about taking classes in the summer to keep on a 4 year pace for my degree without having to take 5 classes every fall and winter term. With my schedule in the summer it would be virtually impossible for me to be at every lecture in person over the summer so I would need to take online classes.
I would like to understand some of the differences between online and in-person classes in terms of studying and lectures even for the fall and winter next year. I have also heard that summer and spring term classes can feel a little rushed due to the shorter term and was wondering if anyone could attest to that.
Any and all advice welcome, thanks!

I felt like this exam was relatively easy, the practice exam was MUCH easier though however there sure were a few questions that almost got me.. Iāll probably get an 80 at the very least. What about you guys?

Prof (Nichols) just posted info about our midterm and said "you are not responsible for any theory in the lab manual" but everyone I've talked to basically told me to memorize the entire manual. Should I study the experiment procedures only or the theory sections before the procedures too?

Does anyone have any experience with attempting AW after the 3 year period has passed? Had a bad semester 3.5 years ago and itās weighing down my GPA, but I didnāt even know AW was an option until recently. Has anyone ever applied after the 3 year mark and been accepted?
