Questions Healthy Food at UB North Campus ?

I’ve been eating like crap at college and at work, I commute and I genuinely don’t have the time to cook every morning since I’m out till like 8pm. Usually I eat the chicken tenders from SU, sushi, and chicken over rice. At work I’m eating fast food like burgers and pizza.

Are there any healthy options at UB, I’m sick and tired of eating oily junk food.

Venting Event Staff tonight

I don’t usually mind the games in Alumni. Like you know having to get my bag checked whatever, I guess.

But tonight, you can’t tell me that no ego was involved.

For reference I’ve worked in Alumni for two years now. I’ve worked during games before. Volleyball, Wrestling, Basketball, Football, etc. I know many of the event staff. They know me. Maybe not by name, but I know they know my face.

I walk in. Usually they recognize me, and tell me go whatever way since I’m just going to the back, not the game. Not tonight. I get stopped.

“I need to check your bag”
“I’m just going to Member Services”
“Still need to check”

Okay whatever, I’m a little begrudging about it but fine. Barely check me over, and send me in.

I make eye contact with a guy I recognize, I’m looking at him because I know I he knows I’m not going to do anything stupid I just want to get to the back. The man a parallel to him is just like

“You have to go up and around”

I’m just trying to go to member services. So I go up the steps. It’s a jogging track. It’s made to jog and run on. There are like two other people, but they’re out of the way. I start to run, a lady tells me no running.

It. Is. A. Track. It is made for jogging and running. Not for corralling people who are just using the gym or the facilities and have no interest in the game.

I finally get to member services. I talk to my friends in the office. Venting to them and whatnot. I step outside to talk to my friend scanning people into the gym. I make the mistake of side stepping to Stanchions (rope barrier thing) just to talk to him.

“Excuse me, miss, you can’t go that way!”
“I’m just talking to him”

He see me already talking to the man, like what!? Make it worse I’ve literally interacted with this staff guy before. When the team shop was in business he would see me in there, I’d walk past him during games, and if I had to cross the Stanchions, he saw that I wasn’t causing a problem. But not tonight apparently.

Me and him keep talking and as we are this same staff guy is like a Belgian Malinois is on any gym patrons. Literally just trying to fill their water bottles or use the bathroom. This one guy walks out, clearly need to use the bathroom, he ask us if he can sneak through, and me and the monitor warn him about the guy. He goes like half way around and dips to uses the bathroom

“Sir you can’t go that way”
“I have to use the bathroom?”
“Can’t go that way” (he’s like waving him to come back)

That poor dude looks at him one more time partially says what he said before and just goes in the bathroom. Like sir what!? Pressed over someone using the bathroom!? Like God Forbid he doesn’t go up and around. No one wants to go to from Timbuktu to Vegas when they’re aiming for the bathroom.

To get out the building? Same thing. Up around and down. Don’t get me started about downstairs, people are getting lost and sent all over the place because of this.

Like I said I’ve worked in Alumni for two years, I’ve seen how these games are handled. I get that you have to be thorough, but what the heck!? Chill out and stop power tripping on students minding their business.

Questions Credit transfer?

I graduated from UB with my undergrad earlier this year in May. I want to go back to UB for another undergrad program as a full-time student come Fall 2027. Does anyone know if any credits from my previous UB transcript would transfer if I began as a new student in the fall? Most of my credits are less than 3 yearso old. atm. For context, I received a social science interdisciplinary BA and want to go back for my BSN. Would my electives and UB Curriculum at least transfer?
I feel stupid emailing UB tbh, hence the Reddit post. I did try to do some digging before making this post.

MIS student wants to purse in masters.

I am currently a junior as an MIS student. I am most likely going to end up doing my masters in MIS too. I heard being a TA while doing your masters can help pay with your bill. I was wondering how it all works. What classes could I be a Ta because as of right now I can think of being a Ta for MGQ 201, MGQ 301, MGS 351?

CSE 331 Options

I'm taking CSE 331 next semester, and the options are Yorah Bosse and Kelin Luo. Yorah has three reviews on rate my professor, but I don't see any for 331 specifically for Kelin on rate my professor. Did anyone have Kelin for 331 before?

crying so bad

I’ve been so depressed lately that I’ve been at my lowest ever. I can’t seem to understand why nothing ever comes my way. I’m a pretty attractive-looking guy that’s intelligent, has a great sense of humor with quick wits, and I only ever get complimented by my guy friends. However, I can’t fathom that I can’t get a decent-looking girl to look my way as I only ever attract creepy girls that are
terrifying.

I’m not into hookup culture whatsoever and all of my handsome friends have gotten into relationships, but I CAN’T. I hate being a late bloomer and I hate hate being told by all my friends to just focus on myself. That’s all I’ve ever been doing my whole life & it’s been depressing to only ever focus on my hobbies and school. I have chemistry with girls that I’ll occasionally see in passing but that’s about it. Genuinely how do you guys do it?? Like is there something about me that’s weird or off putting? I don’t know.

Venting AI & Writing

I want to clear something up to those of you who like to make assumptions:

Just because some people write somewhat like AI, it doesn't mean that they fucking used AI in their comments. For example, I do not use AI for any of my comments. Absolutely none. I don't even use it to branstorm ideas.

Don't believe me? Then, continue to not believe me, but you have no actual proof that I actually used AI to write my comments, even my lengthy ones. Not only that, look at my fucking comment and posts history. It's open to the public. Every single comment is available. Can AI really be used that consistently? Look at the consistency in language. Besides some details, what exactly makes my comments so artificial enough that it is AI? Those people who assume that, I don't have respect for you. I take a long time to write my comments, and in fact, if you look closely enough, I even edit them multiple times.

It's honestly really frustrating that people even think about fucking making that short handed assumption. Not only that, those same people will even get upvotes with people supporting that false and misleading claim. The people who upvote and support the people who boldly claim that lengthy responses are AI generated, you don't have my respect, and you should be a more intentional person who don't simply jump to fucking shitty conclusions.

Just my thoughts and feelings out of frustration.
I know that I shouldn't make this a huge subject of anger, but I find it really disrespectful that some people will assume something was written by AI just because it's longer or more well organized.

Edit: I don't usually use strikethroughs and italics, but I'm using them as proof that I edit my shit.

Questions Las Vegas Alumni Connection?

Hello, not sure if this style post is allowed.

I am in search of any alumni currently in the Las Vegas area.

A bit of background. I am your normal commuter student, working my way through school. I received an academic award for my engineering and automotive involvement through SEMA. I was invited to attend the SEMA show and receive recognition for my award as well. This is a really great opportunity to network in the automotive industry and also frankly see a lot of very cool tech on display.

I am currently looking for someone who would maybe have a guest room where I could stay for a couple days while there. Travel is already costly and adding a hotel is beyond my means. This is a great opportunity I would love to take.

I would be in town from the 2nd to the 5th of Nov.

If you or you know someone who may be able to help me, I would greatly appreciate it!

is it worth it rn to move out of govs into Richmond like do I have a chance of getting a room there

my hallmates are always doing tweak shit like acting like little ass kids and like messing with my and my roommates shit in the room, leaving trash in the hallway, plus my roommate lets them mess with my shit whenever they come into my room plus all my friends live in Richmond and I don't wanna drive back and forth every night. also govs rooms are mad small like I have a d room in Lehman and I feel like im living in a sardine box. only redeeming quality of govs is the bathrooms. long story short if i request a room change will it get accepted and will I get Richmond double or single

Eco 182 Justin Downs

Does anyone know if Professor Downs's Micro Econ 182 discussion would fail me if I haven't gone? I took Econ in high school and found it relatively easy. He said attendance is mandatory, but he also said you would get 10 extra credit points if you go most of the time. Am I cooked?

Venting I feel like I've screwed myself over

I want to start this by saying I'm sorry, I know this is written very weird, I am emotional and writing this before running to a class.

I have made no friends, and I feel like I've ruined my chances to make any.

In highschool I was always the weird fat girl, and I had bad experiences with approaching people, so I never really talked to anyone at school, I did my work, talked to the teachers, and would leave.

When I got to college I wanted to change that, I was lonely and wanted to have the fun college experience, but I feel like I destroyed my chances at that already. I commute to school with a lot of home responsibilities so I never had the chance to attend any of the big meet people events at the beginning of the year, and I cant do clubs for the same reason, and it felt like from day 1 everyone I see already has their groups, and I get so uncomfortable talking to any of them, because even when one is nice the others are looking at me weird and I just feel like they don't want me around. I only end up talking to 2-3 people on the whole campus in a given week because of this, 2 people from my highschool that tolerate me in class but won't look at me outside of class, and my lab partner that is the same way. I don't know what to do anymore I feel like any chance I had at making a friend is gone.

I know there are things I can do I just feel like I'm falling into the same cycle I did in highschool and I'm scared I won't be able to get out of it.

Course Recommendations easy classes for spring semester

Hello, some of the easy classes in past years got nerfed and are no longer free A's. What are some of the easiest current classes that are free A's. Preferably online/asynchronous? It's my last semester and I just need more credits to be a full time student. Thank you.
