My cat Vlad, thanks to a small grant and some real angels in Tucson who helped, was able to get his teeth removed. Unfortunately his health has suddenly taken a turn for the worse. Friday he stopped eating. I've been syringe feeding him. He's going to need medication and vet care since he has already lost 1/2 pound since the tooth removal. I also think he may have stopped drinking since last night, I have not seen evidence of him drinking anything and I've been providing fluids via syringe too. He is stumbling when I walks a little and I'm afraid he won't survive this. If anyone can help, I'd appreciate it. I am on disability and cannot take on any more credit cards. I no longer qualify for grants because I have used them in the past. I'm basically down to begging. This is my gofundme: Anything helps https://gofund.me/5390637e4

Hi Tucson, I'm a reporter for a French news network, and we're working on a story on how the SNAP changes are playing out ahead of the midterms.
We're looking for someone or a family who lost their SNAP benefits and believes they're still eligible, and who is dealing with the paperwork, the hold times, or the reapplication process. If your situation is a bit different (a smaller grocery budget, taking on extra work to get benefits reinstated), I'd like to hear that too.
If you'd be open to talking, even just to learn more with no commitment, send me a DM. Nothing is on camera unless you're comfortable with it. Thank you.
💀 TUCSON TERROR FEST & HORROR CON ARE TAKING PLACE THIS WEEKEND! 💀
Horror heads, gorehounds, creature-feature freaks, and lovers of all things strange and sinister — this one's for YOU!
From October 15–18, 2026, Tucson gets a dose of independent and local horror with the return of the Tucson Terror Fest, Tucson’s longest-running Indie Horror Con and Horror Film Festival!
🔪 TERROR FEST HORROR CON — OCTOBER 17–18
📍 Ramada Inn — 777 W. Cushing St., Tucson
For just $8 admission, you can dive into a weekend of horror goodness! Check out local vendors slinging spooky wares, creepy collectibles, and all kinds of horror goodies. There’s tabletop gaming, a Mortal Kombat tournament, a costume contest and plenty more lurking around the convention.
Whether you're hunting for your next horror obsession, looking to support local creators, or just want to hang with fellow horror freaks, there's something here for you!
We're back for year 16, bringing you six brand-new indie horror features and two blocks of short films packed with different flavors of fear. This year's lineup is a little smaller than in previous years, but I've had a blast screening these six features, and there's some seriously cool independent horror here worth checking out.
Here is some info about the movies we will be showing:
🪓 THE BARN III — SATURDAY NIGHT AT THE SCREENING ROOM
If you love gore, practical monsters, outrageous fun, and that glorious throwback-to-the-'80s horror vibe, DO NOT SLEEP ON THIS ONE.
The Barn III is an absolute blast, made with a ton of heart and packed with killer monsters and gore. You don't need to have seen the first two films to jump into this one, although they're well worth checking out, too. This is the kind of love letter to old-school horror that indie genre fans live for!
💀 DEBONED — SUNDAY AT POE'S
For the extreme horror crowd, we've got Deboned, a bleak, hard-hitting Korean revenge film. If your horror tastes lean dark, brutal, and uncompromising, this one's calling your name.
🍺 INTOXICATION
An otherworldly keg. A houseboat. Cosmic horror.
This buddy-horror comedy fever dream brings some seriously strange energy to the lineup.... This is the North American Premiere for the film as well!
🌺 BLOOM
Local Arizona horror alert! Bloom is a feature from Buckeye built around a disturbing premise: flowers grown with blood and the horrors that can lead to. If you love discovering regional indie horror and seeing local filmmakers get their moment, give this one a look! Bloom had it's World Premiere at FrightFest in London, where it played to a nearly sold-out audience at the Odeon Luxe West End. This will be it's North America Premiere!
🎃 OCTOBER 31ST — THURSDAY'S OPENING NIGHT FILM
We kick things off with a Halloween movie featuring a group of badass teens going up against a cat-like monster on the most terrifying night of the year.
Halloween night. A monstrous feline. Teens fighting back.
What's not to love?
And don't forget the two short-film blocks, bringing even more independent nightmares to the big screen!
Tucson, let's show some love for independent horror, support the filmmakers and vendors keeping this scene alive, and celebrate the weird, wild, wonderful world of genre cinema!
I'm helping put on the film festival, so if you have any questions about the movies or screenings, feel free to reach out to me. For convention questions, hit up the convention's socials and website linked above.
With the holidays coming up, I wanted to put it out there that I'm available for cat sitting through Meowtel!
If you're traveling to see family or getting away for a few days over Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year's, I'm happy to help take care of your kitties while you're gone.
I know how much our cats mean to us, and how much better it feels to know they're being looked after while we're away. They get to stay in their own homes and keep their usual routines instead of having to go somewhere unfamiliar.
If you need a cat sitter, feel free to reach out! I'd love to meet some new feline friends. 😻
Hey Tucson, my cat Iggy got out last night. We accidentally left the door cracked and he slipped right out. He normally comes right back, but we haven’t seen him all morning. We’re in the Campbell and Fort Lowell area. Please DM me or respond here if you see him!
UPDATE: Very early this morning, Iggy came strolling back inside and crawled right up on his momma’s lap. Thank you everyone for your help and concern!
I absolutely love everything about this bike -- BUT -- it is 1 size too small, lol. Sabino canyon tuned it up this morning. While there I tried a Medium frame, and my wrists were like, "oh thank you."
Otherwise the bike is fantastic and in like new condition. Swapped for a more comfy seat (still have the stock seat), new kickstand, new lights, otherwise it's unchanged.
I'd trade for a comparable Medium Rockhopper, a Trek Marlin, etc, of a similar construction, if any of my Smol friends find themselves in a similar position if needing to trade bikes, or need one for their kiddo/teen.
I am struggling out of the grip of homelessness and seeking resources for free clothing or donations. Seeking socks, underwear, and large-xl shirts and shorts, as well as a pair of shoes size 11. Thank you!
Hello Everyone! I’m hoping to find a music album called ‘The Beating’ produced by a band local to Tucson in 2001-2002 time frame. I’ve been checking records stores, and so far have no luck. I’m looking to gift this to my friend because his brother is the lead singer of the band and he recently passed away. I know they didn’t make many copies, but if anyone happens to have it, I’d love to purchase it from you today. Thanks!
These two dogs were abandoned in my alley. I have been taking care of them. Their names are Kong (male) and Sweetie Pie(female). They are very bonded together. They play with each other and sleep together. They love snuggles and are good with children. They are good with other pets.
They are vaccinated, spayed and neutered, and microchipped.
About an hour ago I left the Circle K at Ajo and Kinney. There seems to be a dog that’s wandering around the parking lot looking for its family or just someone. She would back away when I approached. I tried to call her over to me but she didn’t want to get to close. Anyway, just thought I’d post this here in case someone is looking for her.
