I'm very excited to finally announce that Trials Frontier is back and available for everyone. Now featuring improved cross-platform leaderboards, working ghosts, native controller support, updated camera angle, in-game per-bike leaderboards, a diamond medal, a track editor, a dedicated world map for community tracks, a custom ninja bike, back wheel only tracks, a low gravity version, a version where you can play through the story with infinite fuel, and much more. Looks like I’m not the only one who’s been working on bringing Trials Frontier back, since trialsproject.com just launched. Mine works a bit differently. It’s a patch for the iOS version (7.9.0) that makes the game playable offline, either on a Mac with PlayCover or on a sideloaded iPhone or iPad. The patch embeds a tiny local server in the app, so leaderboards, ghost races and the Hall of Fame work locally, and you can play through the story from scratch or from your original save game.

I also put a fair bit of effort into recovering old save data. So if you never had the heart to delete the original app (and your data), you might be able to recover some of it. In general you can get your full save game state, a large number of your ghosts, and a few ghosts from friends and global, depending on the state of your cache.

If you still have an old iPhone or iPad with the game on it and are interested in recovery, please don’t open the game there, turn off automatic updates, and back it up to your computer first. The README explains how to get the game’s files out of that backup. Recovery from a full device backup probably works as well. The device you played on the most is the best choice due to the way caching from the Ubisoft server worked, but you may find that you have unique data spread across multiple of your devices used to play the game back when it was live.

You can also publish your times and ghosts so other players’ games can load them, which I’m hoping can rebuild some of the original leaderboards. I’d encourage doing this just for the sake of preservation. There’s a script that publishes your ghost bundle to GitHub and asks for it to be added to a shared list of bundles.

been working on this for the past week and a half. currently it's for iOS only, and needs to be sideloaded due to patches applied to the executable that route the defunct server addresses back to my own. practically everything works, including importing your save from the original game, track leaderboards and ghosts, A.N.B.A memories, ability to unlock bikes and cosmetics that were limited time only, and more. also just got the Bunker working tonight, as shown in the attached picture. curious to know if people are still interested in this game, so i can gauge the viability of hosting this publicly (although i am in no way in a financial position to do so). obviously this isn't the right subreddit for the technical details, so i'll leave them out. but if you do have any lost media, including cached dat packages that were downloaded from ubi's servers, or older copies of the game (pre-7.9.0), feel free to get in touch.

I’d like to think I’m a pretty competent trials rising player, I’ve got platinum medal on every non-ninja track in the game, diamond on a few including white belt, and I’ve got gold medals on yellow and orange.

But green belt just seems like an impossible task, I’ve only got past the first obstacle a couple times.

What’s the best way to approach improving my game to that point? Should I tackle the other ninja tracks with mantis instead of helium and then try green again?

About some of my tracks that you played, and also, you was wondering what happened to the spyral chronologus tracks in trials rising, it's been some months, i have brain fog, the spyral chronologus is very long to be made and need to memorize what the characters think, their motivations, also lore, so I don't think I have conditions to build the entirely episodes, i don't feel like i remember some vibes from the things i was happy while i was connected to my virtual friends, their tracks that i played, my tracks inspired by their style character models, feels like there's some puzzle pieces that i need to connect, i look at my friends tracks & characters and i look at my own maps and also my characters, i feel like there's is something related to then. but i need to discover, the game was trials evolution, also trials fusion, i had created a playlist "our funny projects" in Youtube, my name is StreeTNewK7, also my friends tracks like dr_koupop/lsamashii & chellycookie, i know that i have some relation to then but i don't remember how we started. but don't know why, the spyral chronologus will be back, but not like a entirely episodes, but it'll be some animations tracks & stuff, but no episodes until I get better. i like you guys!😊

I recently found out I could launch the game using sudo, and found that most of my progress from a couple years ago has been reset, but for some reason I have rider gear, my leaderboard position, and I am assuming my track times as well.

Does anyone know how I could get these to sync so I get my lost progress back? for now I might just replay the campaign again xdd
