Disney plus

I ported to the $20 BYOP plan and got an email linking me to Disney plus subscription. But all it shows on the website is the Disney logo. I believe Disney is not included under this plan, right ?

No more 5g uw or good speed

I ported under their byod $20 promo deal about 2 months ago. For first couple of days the internet speed was really good. Used to Show about 300+ down speed and used to show 5guw constantly by my network. For last couple of weeks the speed is very very bad. Its around 20-25 down and never shows 5g uw, only shows 5g, no matter where i am.

Why is that?

I have iphone 14 pro max and did do network reset couple times from settings as it was suggested in some places.

Disconnected Primary line and "Technical issues"

Customer with 4 lines and now getting notification that my primary line is going to be disconnected and no longer showing up in my portal.

I've had this number for almost 20 years and it used for all my medical issues at Mayo (which I have notifications and calls coming to) with four more appointments this year alone.

I'm on auto-pay, and have been paying my bill for (four lines @ $90/mo) for over a year, but now they're telling me that my primary line will be disabled and I may have to use one of the other lines in case they can't get it re-activated. WTH?!?!

I'm ready to file an FTC complaint, but now the primary line isn't even showing up in my account to port out. I can't lose that phone number and they "assure" me that I won't, but it's a "95%" guarantee until the escalation team has looked at it which can take up to three (3) days.

Now, I'm getting a notification through the app to pay $105 to reactivate it, but it's already been paid thru auto-pay and I have credit card notifications and e-mails proving it.

Has anyone else had this "technical issue" on their end? Have you lost your number due to this and what did you do to get it back, or even could? So far, mine is still active, and yes I recorded the conversations with TW to use if they DO deactivate it and I lose the number, but I don't want to get into that.

Please let me know if you've had the same issues. All my phones I bought from Google and Apple directly and not thru Verizon or TW.

Thanks

S

Wonderful experience porting to total

I know the total port in experience has received a lot of flak of late. Wanted to share my positive experience. I'm porting from us mobile . I had the account and pin ready. Got a physical sin. Started the porting process. Entered the port out pin and account number on total website. Everything confirmed and it asks me to put the sim card in... I discovered then that my sim tray was stuck. I could not open the tray

US mobile said that I have ported out and I had no connection at this point. Panicked , I call total wireless.. I had to fight it out with the automatic voice agent.. but once through , I got a human agent in 5 mins and he helped me port it out to an e sim.. he was patient through the process and he let me disconnect only after ensuring everything was working .. phew ! Thanks a lot !

Any Total Wireless dealers or sub-dealers here? Looking to connect and talk shop

Hi everyone,

I run a back-office operations company that supports telecom retail stores, including Total Wireless locations. We handle inventory reporting, camera monitoring, and POS reconciliation for stores.

I'd like to connect with Total Wireless dealers and sub-dealers to hear how you run things day to day: what's working, what's painful, and where the biggest gaps are in store operations.

If you're a dealer or sub-dealer, please comment below or send me a DM. Happy to share what I've learned from the stores we work with, too.

Thanks!

Got my promo fixed but now I have 1 billing issue

My $20 MAX 5G BYO promo is fixed now and everything is working correctly. I have one separate billing issue I need help with.
During the original port/activation problems, I was charged $30 three different times for the same line because the activation kept being redone. One $30 charge was the legitimate first-month payment, but the other two were duplicate charges.
Since I’m staying with Total now, I’m okay with receiving the extra $60 as an account credit toward future service. Can you please review those charges and apply the $60 credit without making any changes to my plan or promotional discounts?

Total Wireless (Verizon Value / Tracfone) adds 12-month "Device Lock" to terms. This is in addition to the SIM lock.

Apple Watch Cellular Support

It would be a great value-add if TW can offer cellular plans or smartwatch add-ons for Apple Watches. TW, any future plans?

Total will force you out of $30/mo Disney plan

Cross-posting for visibility. Been content with total until now. Autopay always on, card still active for many years, no change in my line. Every month has been $65 - $30 (discount) - $5 (autopay), $30/mo. I receive a text today stating to add autopay or service is discontinued tomorrow. Log in, autopay is off, I did not shut it off. Go to flip it back on, total will now be $60/mo ($65 - $5). Call support, they state it is likely a glitch on my end, make me wait 45 minutes, finally say there's nothing that they can do, but they've created a ticket. With this ticket, they may come back and decide that I cannot get the discount, I have to wait 1-2 business days.

So basically they want me to renew tomorrow at this higher rate, sneakily stripped my discount, and I may never get it back. Total wants out of this net negative deal that they used to draw customers in. They've been eating the $17/mo Disney credit and had to find an excuse to bail. Unless they resolve promptly, I don't see how this was an honest mistake.

This bot pandering is getting outta hand

Mostly useless, rarely constructive, and never provides updates whether resolved or not. They need to reprogram with tangible 'have you tried the following?' suggestions.

Laughable that it replies to replies .. 'I have a problem' then 'have you tried this?' followed by 'I'm sorry' to the 'have you tried this' reply.

Expecting a bot to reply to this post in 3, 2, 1 ...

International Roaming on Total 5G Unlimited

Hello,

I am on a Legacy Total 5G Unlimited plan and I will travel abroad. I am trying to find out which countries are covered in my plan, but it is proving very difficult as all the info online refers to the new plans. I tried to chat with an agent but they do not seem to have the information.

Any help is greatly appreciated. In particular I will be traveling to Egypt.

Thank you.

International Roaming Data Point

Hi, i recently switched from Verizon+ for the $20 month deal. No issues porting in from Visible—took 5 minutes (eSIM)

I was traveling to Japan for 10 days and the total roaming worked perfectly. Didn’t have to change a thing. Worked like as if I was in the US. Able to call US, Japan, and data speeds were decent. The only drawback was that I finished my 10GB limit within 8 days lol. My monthly cycle had started a few days before the trip; and my husbands cycle restarted while we were in Japan, and his data continue to work after the new cycle date too. Seems like the older roaming issues have been resolved.

Just wanted to share this here as a data point.

I joined the $20/month plan

Nice to have an autopay discount with a credit card again, international roaming (I need this for Europe/West Asia travel soon) and unlimited QCI 8 data. I was previously on Verizon Simplicity (QCI 9) financing a new iPhone Air as my upgrade from iPhone 13 Pro and I switched to T-Mobile Essentials 2.0 for a few days to get them to pay off my new phone, now I’m on Total Wireless.

The porting process was kind of ass and I needed to change my DNS because I guess Adblock was causing the webpage not to load.

It took a few minutes, but the port was successful and now I’m on Total Wireless/Verizon Value again. I’ll see how it goes over the next few weeks.

For people who have used both how was Total Wireless vs Visible+ Pro vs US Mobile Unlimited Premium in your experience?

What will happen if you try to start a Total MAX 5G BYOD on a Straight Talk handset?

When I feed the IMEI2 of a Straight Talk branded phone which still has ST on IMEI1 on compatibility checker, the compatibility checker green lights it.

If I move forward with it, what will happen?
