Been collecting images of The Wasp. Perez is my favorite artist and that is certainly true for Janet. Found this B&W drawing and was surprised AI could color it for me. Love it!!!!

I think this is my favorite fanart of her.

Exquisite getup from the flashback of Avengers #161

I love how much Janet's evolved and I appreciate that she knows how people judge each other by their appearance - not saying it's right but it's what we do.

Hey, last week I announced that I would be doing a color challenge and asked my patreon members to pick the most popular fictional character for each color. Ada won the red spot, and to my surprise Wasp won the yellow. So to honor her I gave my all. Other spots belong the different characters like Poison Ivy being on green but the list will be updated every single day. I hope you like it!

"She was the funniest character in the whole movie" Joss Whedon said.

Honestly wouldn't have hated this casting. I think Zooey had the right look at the time. She would have brought the lightheartedness and flirtatious elements in really well.

Long-term though making Avengers all about her wouldn't have been for the best. She is the warmth of the team so having one of the Avengers movies with a focus on her could have worked.

The more i draw Hank and Janet having their family moments, the less i care about their comic history.

All art by me for my AU.

Finalized designs (hopefully) for my AU's Hank and Janet, during their stay in the Avengers.

some more random AU art of the Pym family. (yes, marvel comics exist in that world and people can read 616, Ultimates and etc., even the heroes themselves).

As usual, art by me

and also extra art with her kids.

And I'm asking for both the out-of-universe reason (which I'm assuming has to do with the MCU sidelining her) and the in-universe reason. If there's any?

Genuinely why is she not on the Avengers in the comics right now?

Personally I feel like good picks would be ones that sort of rival wasps in general. Given her relation with spiders, Tarantula would be a pretty good pick. Ones that could also rival her in the aviary field like the Vulture or Human Fly. A more personal pick, and probably my favorite I’ve brainstormed is the Jackal, who could strike a personal nerve by doing something with Vernon Van Dyne, Janet’s father.

Looks like Wasp may be in the upcoming Iron Man game. At least I think it’s her, don’t recognize who else this could be.
