This just blew the fuck out of me I had to come here and complain after watching😭

She says this like it’s supposed to be selfless? They got Bonnie having to make this face like she’s so impressed by Lexi’s loyalty, crying and shit. And Lexi poses like Jesus crucified on the cross to get swept away by The Darkness (Did they get that from Twitches?)

She is telling Bonnie to her face she dgaf about killing HER! Because Bonnie’s death would be meaningless unless it prevented Damon’s death, that’s her whole value.

This scene is supposed to be like Lexi’s swan song, some great sacrifice for the sake of True Friendship. man fuck her! Bonnie is bout to DIE and you can’t even manage a “Sorry girl thanks for saving Stefan”?

She tries so hard to save them, they should have fought harder to save her. In end, she got out bc of herself.

Last night I had a dream that I was in the Vampire Diaries, as a character. Going thru things from the show in a POV state. When I woke up I immediately go

OMFG I WAS MATT DONOVAN.

Why did I dream I was MATT of all people?! Anyway for like a tenth of a second I understood why he hated vampires so much.

Ah, right—you’ll probably tell me to go watch Supernatural, and you’d be somewhat right. I already watched it long before TVD.Even though I really love the relationship between Sam and Dean—and generally adore sibling dynamics in TV shows—I just couldn’t bring myself to like them. That’s mostly because I’ve never really liked the character of Sam, though "Destiel" was perfect.

On the other hand, I absolutely love Damon and Stefan. I adore everything about them, and every scene they share on screen makes me happy; however, Damon causes so much damage to their relationship that it drives me crazy. Furthermore, the heavy focus on love triangles and romance in the show ends up overshadowing—and even harming—the sibling bond. I find myself wishing that a show with a different premise had focused solely on the brotherhood, much like spn did. I know, it’s a bit silly. Still, I wanted to share this meme I made, and I ended up writing a rather lengthy explanation to go with it!

Rewatching tvd; currently at s2ep2.

1: I'm completely lost why Matt gets so much hate? I don't see anything wrong with his character so far??

2: What exactly is Caroline & Elena's friendship!?They have no chemistry, Caroline is jealous & insensitive most of the time and Elena seems so neutral/distant when it comes to Caroline??

Note; i've watched tvd for the first time more than 10 years ago.

I just finished TVD, balled my eyes out and wanted to share my favorite songs while also looking for more from you all.

1. Only one - by Alex band ( I could see the pain in Damon’s eyes when he killed her, one of the few times ever and this song has stuck with me ever since. as a melancholic love/ life song that I can always toast a drink to for the rest of my life.)

2. Wings - by Birdy (this song hit me really hard when Damon was trapped with Bonnie in the final light on the other side, we didn’t know if we would ever see them again. This song captured that moment in time so perfectly, I carry this throughout my other life experiences, expressing love and grief, desire vs necessity, all at once.)

3. Take on the world - by You Me At SIx ( this song was just an amazing addition for the finale scene. What hit me the hardest wasn’t just the song but the scene of John Gilbert finally being accepted by his daughter, in death. The feeling that they would share that eternal happiness, and Stefan and daemons final scene just hit me like nothing on this plane could explain.)

If I ever got death row or was about to die……this is the show I would watch to be COMPLETELY prepared for it, a thousand lifetimes of pain, love, and acceptance in 8 seasons….a true masterpiece even with all its flaws(though nothing good is completely without error)

If I were in Stefan’s shoes, I would have surrendered after being marked—though, of course, I would have done so as part of a calculated plan. My reasoning is this: Rayna had only one life left, and if she died, Stefan would die too. This meant that, even under the best-case scenario, Stefan’s remaining lifespan was limited to that of a single human—and since Rayna could easily be killed by someone else at any moment, Stefan’s life was constantly at risk.

Besides, how much of a life could he really lead while constantly on the run? I know she was held captive, but she managed to escape. Living in a state of perpetual panic and having to flee all the time must be incredibly difficult—I could truly feel that stress.

Another point is that Rayna would only need to stab him with her sword, which would trap him inside the Phoenix Stone. Both he and Damon had escaped from there before; it’s not as difficult as the show makes it seem. Furthermore, the moment Rayna struck, the others could have taken the sword from her, secured the stone—which would end up in Bonnie’s hands—and freed Stefan. They could have then killed Rayna and been done with the whole ordeal. Once Stefan was out, the mark would have vanished.

I feel like Stefan and Katherine's relationship is somewhat underrated from all the ships of TVDU and for most part we never full got them back and fall in love except a very few scenes here and there and it's mostly shadowed over the whole Katherine turned the Salvatore brothers into vampire situation during the flashbacks that we got. I believe Katherine brings out the real side of Stefan and as much as he wants to deny it, Stefan feels his true self when he's with Katherine instead of the hero mask that he was being hiding under the majority time when he was with Elena.

I don't know maybe I like rougher edge that Steferine had instead of Stelena

Not sure if it is just me. I hate how toxic and immature he is

Currently at S3 ep 11 . I stopped watching after s2 a year ago due to work .Will the upcoming seasons be as good as these ?

If Bonnie relived the same day over and over in the prison world, couldn’t she have grabbed the cure more than once so she could come back with more than one cures? Or am I wrong?

Okay I’m on my millionth rewatch and just noticed how when Damon gets locked up and calls Caroline to him with his mind… why can’t Stefan do that when he is locked in a safe underwater with anyone in Mystic falls that was human…?
