Libertarian Chair Launches ‘Free State Party’ With House Majority Leader, Censured Lawmaker on Board

Group’s founder says he has raised up to $300,000 from major donors

CONCORD, N.H. — A new political group led by New Hampshire Libertarian Party chair Jeremy Kauffman has reportedly placed two Republican state lawmakers on its board. One is House Majority Leader Jason Osborne. The other is Rep. Travis Corcoran, whom the House censured this year over a post that invoked the Nazi “Final Solution.”

Kauffman launched the Free State Party in March, Independent Political Report reported. The group says it does not plan to run as an electoral party. According to its website, “Free State Party” is a trade name of Aristillus Corp., a corporation registered in New Hampshire. Aristillus is also the name of the lunar setting in Corcoran’s science-fiction novel The Powers of the Earth. The group has not said whether the name was chosen for that reason.

At the launch event, Kauffman reportedly said he had raised “between $250,000 and $300,000” by personally contacting major donors. The group has not named those donors.

Both board members have drawn bipartisan criticism. On March 10, Corcoran, a Republican from Weare, responded to a karaoke invitation from Rep. Jessica Grill, a Jewish Democrat from Manchester. He wrote that “we need a final solution for theater kids in politics.” House Speaker Sherman Packard called the post “deeply inappropriate,” and Gov. Kelly Ayotte said the comments were “just wrong.” In May, the House voted 288-54 to censure Corcoran. It was the chamber’s first censure in 20 years. Corcoran has said the post was a joke, that he did not know Grill was Jewish, and that the censure was political theater.

The state Libertarian Party under Kauffman has also come under scrutiny. In September, the party’s X account posted: “We openly support the assassination of basically every elected Democrat in New Hampshire,” NHPR reported. It was the latest in a series of such posts. A 2024 post endorsing the assassination of then-Vice President Kamala Harris drew attention from law enforcement. Earlier this year, the account said it was “perfectly permissible to kill” a former executive councilor who had proposed an income tax. The national Libertarian Party cut ties with the state party in May.

Ayotte called the September post “irresponsible and dangerous.” The Attorney General’s office confirmed it was aware of the posts. House Democratic Leader Alexis Simpson said she had contacted State House security, adding, “Threats of murder cannot become something we accept, excuse or ignore.”

Osborne has not publicly addressed his reported role on the board. Questions remain about who is funding the organization and what it intends to do.

Advice and Recommendations Title: Warning to NH/New England couples: Our experience with Greenhouse on the River in New Boston, NH

Title: Warning to NH/New England couples: Our experience with Greenhouse on the River in New Boston, NH

My wife and I got married at Greenhouse on the River on October 11th, and I genuinely wish someone had warned us about the management and day-of coordination before we booked.

First, I want to say the venue itself is absolutely gorgeous. We fell in love with it, spent months making nearly all of our wedding decor ourselves, and put an unbelievable amount of time into planning every little detail. Our wedding was still beautiful because of our friends, family, and other vendors, but the experience with Molly and her coordination team was honestly awful.

We paid for setup, breakdown, and day-of coordination. Months AFTER booking, we were told that the setup included in our package would actually take place during our contracted rental hours. We had already planned our 2pm ceremony and sent invitations, so we were told we'd need to pay another $750 ($375/hour for two additional hours) to have everything ready in time.

We questioned why we were paying for setup AND losing rental time to accommodate it. Molly sent multiple lengthy emails defending the charge, explaining how much staffing was required and how much work went into preparing our wedding. We eventually paid it.

And then the actual setup was nowhere near what we'd been promised.

We spent months creating a detailed coordination binder with photos, diagrams, quantities, and instructions for practically everything. We emailed it ahead of time AND delivered a physical copy. The finalization questionnaire we received after our coordination meeting was almost completely blank and literally had our WEDDING DATE WRONG.

Despite having everything written out, they left an entire box of prepared bud vases untouched. We specifically requested ten per table, and approximately four were placed. We'd purchased two additional buckets of flowers from their required florist and had family and friends staying up late preparing arrangements, only for so much of that work and money to go to waste.

The stars weren't hung in the greenhouse, the sweetheart table letters were arranged incorrectly, half our itinerary cards weren't placed, ceremony decorations were incorrectly positioned, candles weren't set up and turned on, and extra lamps weren't even taken out of their boxes.

And after all of Molly's emails about the additional staff needed for setup, when we stopped by during setup, the only people we saw working were Molly and Tammi. I don't know who may have worked at other times, but that certainly raised questions for us.

Honestly, though, the decor is not even what I'm most upset about.

The actual day-of coordination was HORRIBLE.

After cueing us to walk down the aisle, Molly and Tammi seemed to stop coordinating the reception. Our DJ wasn't told dinner was ready so he could call tables, wasn't cued to open the dance floor, and nobody made sure the lights were turned off for dancing. Our PHOTOGRAPHER had to step in.

Nobody told us when it was time to cut the cake. Again, our photographer handled it.

Our cannolis weren't brought out when they should have been because nobody coordinated their preparation and service.

At one point, I actually had to find Tammi and ask why WE, THE BRIDES, kept having to track down the coordinators to get things done.

My mom and maid of honor repeatedly couldn't find either of them throughout the reception. Other people noticed, too. Our photographer and other vendors ended up taking on responsibilities that should have been handled by our coordinators.

I genuinely cannot explain how frustrating it is to spend months planning your wedding, pay professionals to manage the day, and then find yourself doing their jobs during your own reception.

The problems didn't stop there. Our decorations were packed haphazardly with literal trash mixed in, our two approximately $80 bathroom baskets weren't returned, and we had to contact Molly afterward to ask about them.

We'd also been told that because of the heavy rain, their team would load our packed decorations into our rental truck overnight so we could return it by 9am. The NEXT MORNING, they emailed to say everything was still inside the greenhouse and we'd need to load it ourselves. We also received conflicting instructions about where the truck keys were.

And I really need to mention Molly's demeanor, because that was a problem from the beginning. Both people we brought to our coordination meeting independently commented afterward about how unpleasant and unwelcoming she was. She didn't introduce herself or even smile. Throughout planning, we found her communication defensive and dismissive.

You don't have to be bubbly or overly friendly to coordinate weddings, but I don't think expecting basic kindness, professionalism, and actually being available during the event is unreasonable.

What really pushed me over the edge was what happened after the wedding.

I emailed Molly a detailed complaint explaining everything that went wrong. Then I saw the venue post on Instagram about how much attention to detail they put into setting up weddings. I commented that I couldn't disagree more after our experience that weekend.

Shortly afterward, BOTH my wife and I discovered we'd been blocked on Instagram. As of October 15th, we still haven't received a response to the complaint.

We're genuinely considering small claims court over the additional charges and the coordination services we paid for but don't believe were adequately performed. We have photos, emails, and our coordination binder documenting the issues, and I'm including some of the photos here.

I'm sharing this because I would have wanted to know before booking. The greenhouse is beautiful, but that doesn't make up for the stress of having to manage your own wedding when you've paid someone else to do it.

If you're planning a wedding in New Hampshire or New England, please get EVERYTHING about setup hours, staffing, rental time, and coordination responsibilities clarified in writing.

We only get one wedding day. I'm grateful ours was still full of love and wonderful people, but I'm incredibly disappointed that we spent parts of it doing jobs we'd already paid professionals to handle.

Follow the money: Who is funding Jason Osborne's Republican political machine in NH?

New Hampshire campaign-finance records reveal substantial corporate and out-of-state funding flowing into the Committee to Elect House Republicans, chaired by House Majority Leader Jason Osborne.

The committee has reported more than $1 million in contributions during the 2026 election cycle. Its donors include:

  • GOPAC Election Fund: $90,000 in the reviewed records
  • General Cybernetics Corp: $30,000
  • Granite Bio Innovation: $30,000
  • Kalshi: $20,000
  • i360 LLC: $18,900, a political data company associated with the Koch network
  • U.S. Term Limits: $15,000
  • NH BUILD PAC: $10,500
  • NHBA State Bank PAC: $10,250
  • Sig Sauer: $10,000

Most of these corporations have received tax cuts as a result of Jason Osborne. Our property taxes have gone up as a result. Now these corporations are giving Jason Osborne the largest slush fund for local politics in history. Jason Osborne is shooting off AI-generated ads, mass -producing roadside signs, and spending significant dollars on killing New Hampshire Public Schools.

It's blatant, disgusting corruption in plain sight.

These records are publicly available through the New Hampshire Secretary of State's campaign-finance reporting system. Search for Committee to Elect House Republicans, filer ID 207762.

New Hampshire Soccer Project Town Hall

The New Hampshire Soccer Project group is having a town hall style meeting at Republic Brewing in Manchester on Tuesday, October 20th from 5-7pm. While I'm not associated with the group, I'm definitely interested in New Hampshire getting it's own professional soccer team. I know from previous posts of mine that there were a fair few of us that thought Portsmouth was too far to go, well, here you go. Hey, come on by even if you aren't a fan of soccer but want something from NH and for NH to root for!

Below is the Instagram, which is really the only social media and they post often.

Whatever happened to the lawsuits against Jason Osborne’s Mammoth Tech?

After Mammoth abruptly laid off hundreds of employees in 2022, former workers won a $2.4 million WARN Act judgment against the company. Other creditors also won substantial judgments.

When the money wasn’t paid, former employees forced Mammoth into involuntary Chapter 7 bankruptcy in 2024. The bankruptcy trustee later received court approval to conduct Rule 2004 examinations of Jason Osborne and his father, Michael Osborne, concerning Mammoth’s financial affairs.

The company’s collapse is worth remembering alongside his political rise.

In 2020, Osborne gave $50,000 to Make Liberty Win, which backed 76 NH House candidates. 53 won. NHPR called Osborne’s contribution an “eye-popping sum by New Hampshire House standards.”

Republicans took control of the House, and Osborne became House Majority Leader.
So while Osborne was spending tens of thousands of dollars helping elect Republican and libertarian candidates, his company was heading toward a collapse that ultimately left hundreds of workers without jobs and millions of dollars in judgments against Mammoth.
Now he wants to be Speaker of the NH House.

NH voters need to know the history.

Is zrad603 (New Hampshire moderator) Jason Osborne, or simply one of Jason’s biggest fan?
