A coworker and I get along, and he's a comic book guy. He's been making these decorated comic book boxes, and even though comics aren't really my thing, I found a way to introduce him to The world of Coheed!

I gave him my hard back copy of SSTB, and told him I wanted HIM to pick the cells he used. He included "I need Mayo" and had to explain why I openly cackled at work.

No one in my circle is interested, so I figured I would show the Internet friends!

I know this question has been asked here plenty of times, but I've skimmed through every response on every post and I've still been left with my questions largely unanswered as I begin looking into purchasing the missing books in my collection.

From my understanding the chronolgical order is as follows:

Afterman

Year of the Black Rainbow

Second Stage Turbine Blade

In Keeping Secrets of Silent Earth: 3

Good Apollo I'm Burning Star IV

Good Apollo I'm Burning Star Volume 2: No World for Tomorrow

Vaxis Act I: The Unheavenly Creatures

Vaxis Act II: A Window of the Waking Mind

Vaxis Act III: The Father of Make Believe

My main question is revolving No World for Tomorrow. Is this a separate act from the previous Good Apollo I'm Burning Star, or is the content from these books included in the hardcover version of Good Apollo? Additionally, I have looked through Evil Ink and found volume 2 and 3 of NWFT, but looking elsewhere I can't find any books for volume 1, except for the 20th anniversary collection that I personally don't want to buy because I would rather have the versions with the cover art. Does a volume 1 exist outside of the 20th anniversary collection? I am willing to buy the individual paperback volumes, but if possible I would much rather complete my collection of hardcover/combined paperback volumes before I invest the money into finishing the paperback collection.

My second question is about The Color Before the Sun and Neverender. Are these books part of the Amory Wars series? If so, where do they fall in the timeline? From what I've heard these books are just stories of the band itself along with artwork, but I want to make sure I'm not missing any of the story because I neglected buying a book.

Did anybody else get tickets to the LS Dunes shows in December at St. Vitus? Will be there both days.

Hello everyone! I cannot, for the life of me, find a super old version of "The Trooper" that Coheed recorded sometime in the early 2000's, and it starts off with (I think it was Claudio) somebody saying "This isn't our song". It was an awesome version that I have never found again. I'm nearly certain it was on the cobaltandcalcium.com website at the time. Anybody have a copy from that era with that phrase in the beginning?

Thanks for any tips!

!!!!!!!!!! UPDATE !!!!!!!!!!

u/LP-Punk came in with the absolute nuke. Found the exact recording I was looking for. "The Trooper (Iron Maiden Cover Live At Headliners - 04-15-03". YOU ROCK!!!

All the discs are in it, though whatever dragonfly shaped object was supposed to be in the foam in the back was not.

I think not only is it where the band comes into itself fully — with stuff that becomes common throughout albums, like suites and the overall vibes — it also just is a constant stream of great songs. I love all albums from them but I think that if I had to pick an absolute best it would be IKSSE3. Maybe my favorite after the Afterman duology, but I think it’s the best album overall and what I would use to introduce someone to the band.

Hello! I'm looking for a Sister Spider mask. I'd be willing to pay, of course. I also have a copy of Year of the Black Rainbow if that sweetens the deal.

Thank you!

Have been waiting since tickets first went live to see them open for Avenged Sevenfold.

I had never heard of avenged sevenfold, and was one of ~10 people I could see that were truly there for Coheed.
Had to represent!

DM $35 and shipping.

Vaxis 2 early morning jam!

Shout out to @Electronic_Big771 on here for hooking me up with this beaut

Two questions

1. Has anyone approached him in his post Coheed ventures for example at a Black Queen gig and asked him to sign Coheed Merch and if so, how did that go?

2. Do you think the split from Coheed was messy? I can't really find any interviews where he talks about Coheed since leaving so not sure if it was a bad ending for them?

I was doing a livestream and I ended up ranting about the glory and musical diversity of Coheed for like 8 mins lol

Just listened to Max Richter’s latest album Where The Flood Rages, and, although a classical composer, this album has so many Coheed potential moments. As I was listening to Richter’s melodies painted in the most vivid soundscapes,(which out of nowhere dropped me in a Coheed world) I thought about an insane “what if…” And a bucket list of all bucket list collabs. Max Richter and Claudio Sanchez.

Richter, in general, is worth the effort of looking up for the unfamiliar. But a full, focused listen of this album, on your app of choice needs to happen so you know what I mean and you too can now push for this collab to become reality.

Who do I have to talk to around here to make that happen?

TL:DR Claudio/Richter collab would equal supernova explosion💥

The newest Coheed email dropped with lots of great Halloween Merch! In that email is a "Secret Merch Button" that really excited me when I pressed it!

A coworker of mine lives in NYC and when she told me she was going to Comic Con last week I casually mentioned, “If you see Claudio, wave hi for me.” I never expected her to wait in line, buy me this book and have it signed. Very cool and awesome surprise! I actually have the original but was planning on buying the reprint because the cover is so much nicer imo and I’ve been getting really into the story lately and wanted to reread Black Rainbow. So this was perfect.

It just occurred to me that I've been pronouncing Amory like "Amory" for decades. Is that wrong or should I pronounce it "Amory?"

I saw a friend in the wild! First time ever! Woohoo
