No, I know that very few people actually claim to dislike it outright, but I also find it gets lost between Drawing - a good contender for the favorite of most people, and Wizard & Glass which is the most polarizing. Yet Waste Lands is the source for nearly all the critical lore in the story, and it has an incredible mix of action and world-building. It was written during a time when King clearly wrote and rewrote his scripts and put a hell of a lot of time into them, as opposed to the last two which were clearly rushed. It’ll always be my favorite.

I want to get a ten dollar bill with the name Chadbourne on it. It’s obscure even for a lot of fans of the series. Do you think it’s too dumb?

‘“You used the hawk,” Cort muttered. Blood was masking his face, running into his mouth, dripping from his chin. “You used the hawk. You damned clever, damned black-hearted young bastard.”’

If the territories is mid world than does that mean that the gullet is the devils arse?
what was arrowheads role in the story, I didn’t quite get it and the box thingies
is the gullet the crimson king trying to bring discordia again or some random todash monster?

I have an idea for a tattoo inspired by my favorite book series of all time, The Dark Tower by Stephen King, and I would love help from this community with it. What I envision is fairly simple but each part is well informed and dripping with meaning to me. As I am writing this post on my phone and I hate texting almost as much as Bill Hodges, and struggle to write at times like Thaddeus Beaumont, I will break into to parts.
Pt. 1) THE IDEA
I want an open, unframed image of Roland of Gilead on my right shoulder/right shoulder blade. It should depict him from behind as he crests the final hill as he comes upon the field of roses and marvels at it. Before him stretches the field of roses that eventually lead to The Dark Tower (which ideally would be on my spine). Everything should be as book accurate as possible. This includes his reduced right hand is at least alluded to or shown if possible. The only difference I want is that somewhere on his person can be found (or at the very least to the initiated implied) the horn of Gilead. If you can help me with this quest please help me. Thank you for your vision and understanding if you feel you can.
Pt. 2) Why?
I mean real ball knowers won’t have to ask but feel free to ask me in my dms and I can explain it verbally. I’m much more eloquent and and comfortable that way. Suffice it to say that DT is reason why I fell in love with fiction and have remained an avid reader since.

Last week I made a post saying that this book will be a somber read because I lost my dad 4 weeks ago today and he wouldn’t be able to finish the series.
As I’m reading along I am finding some of his favorite phrases in the book “wish in one hand and $🤬🤬t in the other see which one gets full first “ “call me whatever you want just don’t call me late for dinner “
Guess he got to finish after all

‘After a time, the gunslinger began to see luminescent patches on the walls; they were fungus, he told Jake, but the boy didn’t believe him. They looked like the glowing handprints of ghosts.’

At E5.
Just feel like he could make a solid RF. He's ageless and having him appear younger than Roland could work.
Also could they just run a few different King shows and movies, that organically transition into the DT universe?

Just finished it, the ending and the Easter eggs all serve the beam. This is surely Sai Flanagan's first brick of the tower. Really hope Amazon gives him the ability to get this made.
Really great series though, nice modern take on Carrie.

‘“For Gilead and the Calla!” he roared. “Now, gunslingers! Now, you Sisters of Oriza! Now, now! Kill them! No quarter! Kill them all!”’

About to take the throcken for a walk. Maybe will stop by the alley and pitch a few balls.
Not my creation but shirt reads nothing but strikes in yellow and mid world lanes in red below.

In SoS, King outright tells them that Claudia y Inez Bachman is the made-up wife of his own pseudonym. Does that mean King was the actual author in that world (and not just the obvious author of it in our own world)? If so, where does that leave Beryl Evans? Was she an actual person in Eddie and Jake’s non-Keystone NYC (and probably many or all of the other versions of NYC as well except Keystone)? I don’t think she could have only been a pseudonym on the other levels because Stephen King doesn’t exist in those. It’s a bit confusing!
Speaking of which, at the beginning of Wolves, you remember how at the beginning, Eddie keeps going on about how time basically stood still for awhile and only recently started up again? Is that supposed to be because we the readers stopped following him and the Tet after reading Wizard and Glass, but when we started reading again with Wolves, time once again picks up for him because we’re reading about him again?

An expedition team searching the remote Pacific island of Nikumaroro for Amelia Earhart's missing plane has been forced to sleep aboard their vessel rather than on land due to a heavy presence of giant coconut crabs. These massive, omnivorous crustaceans possess a powerful crushing grip and overnight activity that made camping on the island impractical. Despite encountering the crabs while clearing overgrown paths, researchers remain in good spirits as they investigate satellite anomalies that could be the legendary aviator's aircraft.

No one compares to the OG’s when it comes to reading a Dark Tower book say thank ya, and I wasn’t expecting Patton to be on the same level, and I know technically this isn’t a Dark Tower book, but Oswalt was disappointing. I could overlook the pronunciation of Takuro Spirit (Takeero?! What?). Then he started saying kashoomy 😑

I've always heard this in my head when Roland faced Jonas in Wizard and Glass.
