Hey Red Raiders! If you’re making the trip to Cincinnati this weekend, we’re pumped to have you in town for our Homecoming game. Tailgating at UC is a pretty unique setup compared to most campuses; instead of sprawling parking lots, our gameday hub is packed right into the heart of campus. Since navigating a new campus setup can feel like a bit of a parlay on your morning, we want to roll out the welcome mat and invite any traveling Texas Tech fans to swing by The Den. We’re an independent fan-run tailgate group, and our whole goal is to give students, alumni, and visiting fans an awesome, welcoming place to take in the Bearcats gameday experience.

Whether you're looking to hedge your bets on the fall weather with a hot drink or just want to grab a cold beer and talk some college football, we’ve got you covered starting around 8:30 AM right after the campus parade. We’re putting all our chips on a Saturday morning setup featuring a DJ, a keg of Garage Beer on tap, and a local mobile coffee cart serving up specialty coffee drinks and pouring mimosas. You don’t need to bring anything but yourself, though BYOB is always welcome too. If you’re wandering around campus before the noon kickoff, come find us on the commons, grab a drink or a donut, and say hi. Safe travels up to Cincy and enjoy the cit! 🏈

Bamma lost. Horns lost. Either ND/BYU lose. UGA lost to unranked (They should all drop like rocks. Just keep racking up those W’s.

So let’s just say it’s BYU vs TECH in the championship game. Just assuming all goes well for both teams, the Utes collapse and OSU has surprised the conference.

This observation comes from having watched 1 1/2 quarters of the BYU / ND game.
I just don’t see how Tech can keep up with BYU. Play calling, play innovation, PASSING GAME, defense penetration, special teams and coaching are all on a different level THIS YEAR for BYU. They are like watching Tech in many aspects last year. I’d like to hear others opinions.
I know there is a lot of football to play but I think Tech has been lucky to hang on so far with a sieve for a secondary, qb struggling and an offensive line thats struggling to keep people out.

Again…this is assuming it is TTU & BYU in the BIG XII Championship.

Traveling to Cincinnati to take my wife and son to their first tech game! Anyone know where the team is staying? I want to make it special for my family

West Virginian and WVU alum traveling to TX to visit an old WV friend living in Midland. We plan on attending the TexasTech/WVU game. It’s our first time attending an away game so we need advice and this seemed like the best route. What are some pubs locals (not students) usually go to grab beers before or during games? ..that responsible folks need to visit while in town.

We’re both 40+ with kids so nothing crazy. Any watering hole close by that yall recommend?

Also, any Recommendations for local pre or post game food? Not sure if Lubbock is known for anything particular. We don’t get together or out of the house often these days so any input is greatly appreciated!!

Play calling is absolutely horrendous this season!!!This team isn’t as stacked as it was last year on offense but the play calling sucks! Hammond is struggling but I can’t blame him because there’s no rhythm to the offense. When Hammond struggles they tell him to pass. When he gets hot they start running the ball. The RBs are good but this is the most frustrating offense I’ve seen in years! Fire Leftwhich and bring someone in that can actually call plays

When is enough enough? We can’t run the ball. We can’t throw the ball. We can’t game plan. We can’t scheme. No fucking life to this team. Thank god we have a defense or else we’d be losing. For him yesterday PLEASE. #LeftwhichOut

Hey guys! The season preview I posted here a few weeks back did pretty well, so circling back like I said I would.

I had you at 11-1, and called that the ceiling rather than the baseline because I thought the defense would give some back. So far you're 3-0: Abilene Christian 33-10, 35-24 at Oregon State, and 28-26 over Houston. But the defense that allowed 11.8 a game last year is at 20 so far, and Houston nearly made that cost you. Hammond has done what I said he'd need to, manage it rather than carry it: 63 of 87 for 744 yards and 3 TDs. The road trips to Colorado, Cincinnati and Baylor are still where 11-1 gets decided.

What are you guys seeing that the box scores aren't, and how do you see the season ending up?

Mine is 10-2. I see the best case going 11-1 and the worst case going 9-3. I don’t see the team having an undefeated season. At 10-2 we probably get left out of the Playoff unless we win the Big 12 championship game.

The 2 games I think we lose are either of these: vs Arizona State, @ Oklahoma State, or vs West Virginia.

Will be very interesting to see how each team performs in the Oklahoma State @ West Virginia game this week.

Allen (Texas) HS - QB Ty Snell

His play calling is predictable and basic. How many times can you call a run up the middle for 2 yards. Other than Jacoby, the rest of the team looks awful.

1. Wtf is this team? This team has many problems. Unbelievable
2. We got lucky as a team could possibly get. 90% of the Power 4 teams would have beat us today by 21 points or more. Imagine if we played Texas tonight after all the stupid shit talking we were doing in the offseason?!?! We almost lost a fumble and nearly threw 2 interceptions on our first offensive drive. Oregon State dropped a guaranteed TD pass in the first half and another dropped 50 yard pass at the start of the 3rd. The luck in this game for us was insane
3. Joyner is slow and a total idiot for that unsportsmanlike conduct penalty. Williams is our best RB and we lose this game without him
4. Will Hammond looks just as immobile as Behren Morton was last season. Not surprising coming off the ACL injury but I don’t think he ever returns to the running ability he had last season. I like the times we have used Thomas Castellanos though
5. O-Line looks horrible. No push on inside runs. Pocket collapsed on Hammond multiple times. They’re almost all senior guys with large size it doesn’t make sense. Guess this is a coaching problem?

6. We should all be SUPER concerned about the secondary. Their WRs were running right by all our DBs. #3 Peyton Morgan should never see the field again. We let their freshman WR total 240 receiving yards

7. Micah Hudson is a no show again just like last week. But thank you for the unsportsmanlike penalty in the 4th quarter

8. What is Terrance Carter Jr’s status?? Did anyone know he was injured before this game started?

Native West Texan who just moved to Oregon last month (I’ve lived in the PNW for the past 8 years). I want to go to the OSU vs. Tech game today. Do Tech fans show up to tailgate this far? It would be fun to meet some Texans up here!

Last time I recall us playing on CBS we lost to Wyoming.

Last time we played a Pac 12 opponent on the road was against Washington State and we lost. It was Week 2 also
