It seems people are recommending 2 (not 2S) due to the fact that the 2S is not a big step up or the less populated multiplayer matching. However, what if I don't own any of them?

I mainly want to play Tetris with couch multiplayer and I’m aware I can buy Tetris Effect but I like the colorfulness of Puyo Puyo Tetris more. If anybody confirm that Puyo Puyo has a Tetris only mode too that’d be much appreciated.
