Announcement Testers Community 2.0 is out - Pack of Wolves, UI Redesign, etc

Hey everyone,

We’ve just released a major update for our free community app - Testers Community 2.0.

We wanted to keep this simple and talk honestly about what changed and why.

Over the past few months, one piece of feedback kept coming up again and again. A lot of you said that testers were just installing apps to earn credits and then not opening them again. Some even uninstalled right after. That completely defeats the purpose of closed testing, and we know many of you struggled with production access because of that.

We took that seriously. Instead of patching small things, we decided to rethink the system from the ground up. Along with that, we’ve also improved stability a lot and redesigned the UI to make the app more clean and easier to use.

Pack of Wolves

This is the biggest change in this update.

Pack of Wolves is a gamified way of testing and earning credits. A pack consists of 16 developers who work together for 16 days. During this time, everyone in the pack is expected to open and use each other’s apps daily.

The idea is simple. Instead of random installs, you get consistent usage from the same group of people over the full testing period.

There’s also accountability built into the system. If someone is inactive for a few days, they get removed from the pack. If you leave early or don’t follow the rules, there are penalties and you may lose access to future participation. If you stay active and complete the cycle, you get the full benefits.

This way, everyone in the pack depends on each other, and it creates a much more reliable testing environment.

Our goal with this update is not just to help you get installs, but to help you actually complete closed testing properly and improve your chances of getting production access.

This entire change came directly from your feedback, so we’d really like to hear what you think.

If you’ve faced issues before with testers not staying active, does this approach solve it for you?

Let us know.

Testers Needed [Closed test] 2 logic puzzle games with zero guessing – Minesweeper + Nonogram. One Google Group for both, I test back within 24h

Hi! Solo dev here. I need testers for Google Play's 14-day closed test of my two puzzle games. You join one Google Group and can test both.

Minesweeper: No Guess – classic Minesweeper where a solver checks every board before you play, so you never get stuck on a 50/50 guess. Daily challenge, 4 board sizes up to 24x40 plus custom, hints, themes, Play Games achievements and leaderboards.

Nonogram: No Guess Pixel Art – 250+ picture puzzles in 17 packs. Every puzzle has exactly one solution you can reach line by line, and it turns into colourful pixel art when you finish. Daily puzzle, hints, no lives or energy.

Both are free and work offline.

How to join (2 minutes):

  1. Join the Google Group: https://groups.google.com/g/baroncyrus-testers

Already in testers-community@googlegroups.com? Skip this step, that group is added to both tests too.

  2. With the same Google account, open each link and tap "Become a tester":

    Minesweeper: https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.baroncyrus.minesweeper

    Nonogram: https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.baroncyrus.nonogram

  3. Install from Google Play:

    https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.baroncyrus.minesweeper

    https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.baroncyrus.nonogram

Please keep them installed for 14 days and open them once in a while.

Test for test: comment your opt-in link (plus your Google Group if it isn't testers-community) and a screenshot showing my app installed. I'll join within 24 hours, keep your app for the full 14 days and leave real feedback, not just "tested".

Bug reports and suggestions are very welcome, here or at codiee.zane@gmail.com. Thanks!

• Upvotes

I need testers for Google’s 12-tester closed test. You don’t need to work in a restaurant, I’ll send you a short guide with sample docs to scan.

  1. Join the group: https://groups.google.com/g/shifttally-testers
  2. Opt in: https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.shifttally.app
  3. Install from Play and keep it installed for the test

Drop your app link in the comments and I’ll install and test yours back, same 14 days. Thanks!

Day 9, five to go: 22 testers opted in in total and the counter keeps running, thank you. A few more are welcome as a buffer. Apps I joined and keep installed: CherryPicker, Lodestone, VESPER: Noir Detective, Paperverie, DailyDew, Moltillion, U, Torchbound, PokerWhy, Blackjack 21, Golf Breeze, Ludo Quest, Ilryu Taksong, FreePocketPDF, Spellrun, Naval Clash, Nueve, Waribashi, Dew Harvest, ChipStack, Waker, 3D Blackjack, Trivit. Testers Needed [Testers needed] BrightWise, an edge brightness slider that learns how you like each app (closed test, need 7 more)

Hi! I'm building BrightWise, a thin slider on the edge of your screen that lets you change brightness with one swipe, without pulling down the notification shade. It learns the brightness you like in each app and sets it for you. It also has a guard that stops you from accidentally going fully dark.

I need a few more testers for Google Play's 14-day closed test. Here's how to join:

  1. Comment your Gmail address (or DM me).
  2. I'll add you, then open https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.daybreaklabs.brightwise with that same Gmail and tap Become a tester.
  3. Install it from Google Play and keep it installed for 14 days.

It's free, works in English and Spanish, and I'm happy to test your app in return. Thanks! 🙏

Testers Needed [Closed testing] Gardo – AI outfit planner from your own clothes. Need testers for 14 days, will test yours back

Hi! I'm a solo developer and I need testers for my app's Google Play closed test (the 12 testers / 14 days rule).

Gardo turns the clothes you already own into outfits: photograph a few items, pick where you're going (work, date, dinner…) and get three outfits for today's weather. There's also a week plan and a travel capsule with a packing list.

How to join (about 2 minutes):

  1. Join the Google Group: https://groups.google.com/g/gardo-testers

  2. Become a tester: https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.evralabs.gardo

  3. Install it from Google Play: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.evralabs.gardo

Please stay opted in and keep the app installed for 14 days, and open it now and then. You don't need to buy anything; the free plan covers everything you need for testing.

Feedback is very welcome, here in the comments or at support@evralabs.app.

Happy to test your app in return: drop your opt-in link in the comments and I'll join.

Testers Needed [Test for Test] Got declined for production due to low engagement, looking for 1:1 daily screenshot proof swap for my game Highway Chaos

I ran my closed test, applied for production, and got declined for low tester engagement.

So this time the deal is different. No install-and-ghost. To join:

  1. Join the Google Group: https://groups.google.com/g/highway-chaos-testers
  2. Opt-in as a tester: https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.we.highwaychaos
  3. Install from Play: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.we.highwaychaos

Then the daily part:

  • Every day for 14 days, send me a screenshot of your daily challenge result screen. The daily challenge takes under 2 minutes. That screenshot is your proof you actually opened and played that day.
  • Every day you send yours, I send you a screenshot of me playing your app right back. Same day. You get proof I'm engaging with yours, I get proof you're engaging with mine.
  • Send your screenshot by Reddit DM, or email it to me at [driftlinegames@gmail.com](mailto:driftlinegames@gmail.com) and I'll reply on the same channel.

That's the whole point: Google rejected me because engagement wasn't real. With the screenshot swap, both of us have proof the engagement actually happened, and that's what gets applications approved. I don't want mine rejected again, and I don't want yours rejected either.

The game is Highway Chaos, a lane-weaving arcade racer (the black cars never signal).

If you can't commit to a daily screenshot for 14 days, no hard feelings, but please don't join. A ghost tester is what got me declined. If you can, you're the reason the second application works.

Testers Needed [Testers Needed] NotiBox — local notification history & image archive (14-day closed test, happy to test yours back!)

Hey everyone! I'm an indie developer running a 14-day Google Play closed test for my app, NotiBox, and I'm looking for testers. I'm happy to test your app in return!

About NotiBox: NotiBox saves a history of the notifications that arrive on your phone so you can still read messages that were accidentally swiped away or unsent. Any images included in notifications are saved into a gallery. Everything stays strictly on your device — the app has no internet permission, no ads, and no analytics. (It requests "Notification access" solely to record incoming notifications, which you can disable at any time.)

Steps to join the test (please use the same Google account): 1. Google Group: https://groups.google.com/g/notibox-testers 2. Web Opt-in: https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.eidoslab.notibox 3. Google Play Store: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.eidoslab.notibox 4. Please keep NotiBox installed for 14 days and open it occasionally 🙏

What feedback I'm looking for: I'd really appreciate any feedback on bugs, any screens that feel confusing, or how the notification history and image gallery work on your device.

Test for Test: Drop your Google Group, Play Store links, and a screenshot in the comments — I'll install your app within 24 hours, test it genuinely, and keep it on my phone for 14+ days. Thank you!

Testers Needed Duolingo for learning Quran

Thumbnail
gallery
1 Upvotes

I built Al Minhaj, an app designed to make learning and memorizing the Quran more structured and interactive.

The idea is to combine a Duolingo-style learning path with Quran memorization and recitation practice.

Some of the features currently available:

Step-by-step learning path
Arabic alphabet, vowels and pronunciation
Word-by-word Quran learning
Interactive exercises
Memorization and smart review

Recite from Memory: recite without seeing the verse and the app recognizes your words and highlights mistakes.

Full Mushaf with translations and Tafsir
Multiple reciters
XP, streaks, achievements and leaderboards

The Quran and the main learning experience are available for free.

I’m still actively improving the app, so I’d genuinely appreciate feedback, especially from people learning or memorizing the Quran.

Testers Needed [Test4Test] Work Hours & Paycheck Tracker — logs shifts and gets overtime pay right (X/12). I test back same day

Hi! I'm looking for testers for my closed test and I'll test yours back —

drop your link in the comments and I'll opt in and install it today.

I keep every app installed for the full 14 days.

What it does: you log your work shifts (week or month view, or clock in/out)

and it works out what your paycheck should be — overtime after 40 hours,

daily overtime in states like California, night/weekend differentials, and

federal + state tax, so you see your real take-home before payday. You can

also type in your paystub and it tells you if something looks short.

No account, no sign-in, your hours stay on your phone.

Heads up so you don't report it as a bug: from the 3rd launch there's a

small banner at the bottom and sometimes a full-screen ad after you clock

out. In this build they're Google's test ads, so they literally say

"Test Ad". That's expected.

What I'd love feedback on:

- is adding your first shift obvious?

- does the pay estimate look believable for your state?

How to join (both steps, otherwise Play doesn't count you):

  1. Join the group: https://groups.google.com/g/nyxora-hourspay

  2. Opt in: https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.nyxora.hourspay

Android 7.0 or newer. Thanks!
