i miss old teemo sometimes
ive been a teemo one trick for about six years and looking back i am really happy teemo was able to get an ASU when theres so many characters that so desperately need them, and riot seems to be slowing down on ASUs and model updates.
but sometimes i miss teemos old clunky model. i miss his old waddle, i miss his old dance, and most importantly i LIKED that teemo only had 4 voicelines. he was mysterious, and the 4 lines he did say were all pretty funny and random.
maybe its the nostalgia talking, or maybe its me being crazy since the update is a huge QOL change, but i just miss the old clunky waddley teemo i fell in love with six years ago <3 i hope he gets a new skin soonnn!!

Feel the hate. Teemo is the 2nd most-banned top laner, has the 2nd-best top-lane win rate. So actually is statistically the best top-lane ban (4.7M ranked games)
I have an app (https://shouldidodge.lol/) which has data from ~5M games. I pulled ban rates and win rates for every top laner from 4.7M ranked games. I wanted to see whether the Teemo bans are just hate, or whether solo queue actually has a point. Actually, it has a point.
TL;DR
- Teemo is banned in 18.2% of ranked games. Among 39 top laners only Nasus (20.5%) is banned more.
- In top lane he wins 51.7%. Among the 39 only Singed (51.9%) wins more.
- That combination makes him the single most valuable top-lane ban. Popular and winning is exactly what a ban should remove.
- He's above 50% at every rank from Iron to Master, and he's above 50% in every role.
[check Image 1]
How Teemo compares with the other most-banned top laners
| Top laner | Ban rate | Top-lane win rate |
|---|---|---|
| Nasus | 20.5% | 51.0% |
| Teemo | 18.2% | 51.7% |
| Malphite | 14.7% | 51.5% |
| Darius | 13.6% | 48.9% |
| Mordekaiser | 11.7% | 51.1% |
| Illaoi | 11.4% | 51.6% |
Darius is banned in 13.6% of games and wins 48.9%. Teemo bans are at least earned.
In other roles
| Role | Share of Teemo's games | Win rate |
|---|---|---|
| Top | 68% | 51.7% |
| Jungle | 13% | 51.2% |
| Support | 12% | 50.8% |
| Mid | 4% | 51.9% |
| Bot | 3% | 51.8% |
Patch trend: steady. He was at 51.5% (17.7% banned) on 26.18 and 51.7% (18.7% banned) on 26.20.

What should a Teemo player ban?
This uses the same ban-value idea, but from our side: how often we face the champion, multiplied by how far below our usual 51.7% we win against it.
| Ban | We face it in | Our win rate vs it | Value (wins per 1,000 bans) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Malphite | 5.6% of games | 48.3% | +1.9 |
| Olaf | 2.4% | 46.6% | +1.2 |
| Ornn | 1.6% | 46.4% | +0.9 |
| Yasuo | 2.0% | 47.4% | +0.9 |
| Sion | 1.8% | 47.1% | +0.8 |
| Mordekaiser | 3.8% | 49.7% | +0.7 |
Ornn and Olaf are the worst matchups, but Malphite is the best ban. He's merely bad for us, and we face him more than twice as often as Olaf.
Best matchups to pray for:
- Vayne 63.0%
- Varus 57.5%
- Volibear 57.5%
- Camille 56.8%
- Zaahen 56.4%
- K'Sante 56.3%
- Gnar 55.6%
- Tryndamere 55.1%
Disclosure: this comes from the match crawl behind shouldidodge.lol, a champ-select tool. Has the previous patch also

Burn shrooms
Usually go for PTA but this week tried DFT and it feels very strong, especially late game. Anybody else?
Usually keep Stattik Shiv first item as I need the attack speed and wave clear until late game.

Build Discussion New player, loving the jungle rat!
So I’m a newer player, only been playing since May and I absolutely hate CSing, so I’ve taken a liking to jungle and how much I can focus on non-CS macro stuff around the map. I’ve recently been playing Teemo, and while his ganks aren’t the strongest, I absolutely love the map pressure the shrooms provide and how well they help me protect objectives from the enemy! Anyway, I wanted to share the build I’ve been running and see if anyone has some suggestions on how to improve it.
Shroomageddon build:
- Scorchclaw Pet
- Malignance
- Sorc Shoes
- Liandry’s
- Blackfire Torch
- Cryptbloom/Stormsurge depending on MR
- Shadowflame
Runes:
Sorcery
Deathfire Touch
Axiom Arcanist
Transcendence
Scorch
Domination
Cheap Shot
Ultimate Hunter
Shards are Attack Speed, Attack Damage, Scaling Health
I basically just want to have my mushrooms up as often as possible and make them miserable to step on. Again I’m new, so I am still working on understanding item properties and stuff, so let me know if anything looks bad here and what I should do to fix it. Thanks guys!

Build Discussion My Teemo Jungle in Gold ELO Match History
I used ChatGPT to compare my Teemo results from the last 2 months to see whether Nashor’s Tooth was paying off, and how Deathfire Touch compared with Dark Harvest. https://op.gg/lol/summoners/oce/ForTheCode-OC
Nashor’s Tooth vs no Nashor’s
| Build | Games | Wins–Losses | Win rate | KDA | CS/min |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Nashor’s | 76 | 33–43 | 43.42% | 2.75 | 7.42 |
| No Nashor’s | 82 | 50–32 | 60.98% | 3.61 | 7.44 |
Without Nashor’s, my win rate was 17.55 percentage points higher, my KDA was 0.85 higher, and my CS/min was slightly higher too. Nashor’s games also averaged 4.84 deaths, compared with 4.12 without it.
This supports my scepticism about Nashor’s because of its opportunity cost. Its single-target damage and clearing speed might be useful, but buying it delays the other items that faster farming is supposed to help me reach. If making use of its attack speed also exposes me to more enemy champion retaliation, deaths and recalls could eat into those benefits.
The part that stands out is that Nashor’s didn’t produce a higher whole-game farming rate in my sample.
Deathfire Touch vs Dark Harvest
| Rune | Games | Wins–Losses | Win rate | KDA | CS/min |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Deathfire Touch | 75 | 39–36 | 52.00% | 3.39 | 7.43 |
| Dark Harvest | 71 | 35–36 | 49.30% | 3.03 | 7.33 |
Deathfire Touch led across all three measures: 2.70 percentage points higher win rate, 0.36 higher KDA, and 0.10 more CS/min.
I know by myself it's not possible to get a sufficient sample size to draw any absolute conclusions, but I thought it was interesting and meaningful enough as an emergent trend that I'm going to prioritise DFT and deprioritise Nashor's pretty heavily going forward.

Question When is the Little Devil Teemo skin returning?
Hi i'm new to league of legends and really like the devil skin for teemo, seems to be unavailable for me right now but to my understanding it's only available during mid-late october, not sure if that's still the case or not or if there's any specific dates to tell when he'll be available again

Question What’s a good alternative pick for Teemo in Jungle?
I’ve fallen in love with OTPing Teemo as a Jungle main for a few months now. I’ve winstreaked up from S4 to P4 because he’s the first champ I just click with.
However because I’m still in shitlo, Teemo unfortunately gets banned semi-regularly.
Because I’ve poured my time into trying to master Teemo, I’d love an alternative pick with a similar-ish playstyle to switch out for in the off chance he’s banned so I’m not completely useless.
What I click with is establishing vision control through shrooms to take control of the enemy jungle, baiting skirmishes, and stealth jukes. It seems like maybe AP shaco is a close option, but he looks a bit too technical for me controlling a second clone with R - I’m not good with managing a pet and elastic banding it, particularly in close quarters fights

Build Discussion When do you build what?
When should i go with the most popular build (statikk, liandrys, malignance)? When should i build items like dusk n dawn, nashors tooth, terminus,...? When to go swifties/sorcs? Into which comps do i build which items? Very fun champ but never sure what to go so i just default to the most played build on lolalytics

Rage against the minion
One thing that makes me want to scream is when you lay a shroom in the perrrrfect position, enemy is SURE to step right onto it on the next engage. Then the enemy minion wave creeps up, and one of the little b***s goes well out of his way to ensure he steps right on the shroom. Like proper scripting right towards it like its magnetic.
Whats going on there?!

Question how/where can i learn to play safe?
im shredding the shit out of everyone, wether im losing or winning lane its either i shred champs or shred tower, one small problem, the times i shred the towers is still a high death and my team struggles till i backdoor, so i wanna learn how to play safe and minimize team sized disadvantage, im a teemo one trick, olaf/heim if banned, and my only issue is there was never a time i played safe i always been hyperaggressive and thats been causing some issues in some games

Is it actually you, or is your team just tilting because you picked Teemo? (I built a tool to find out)
I finally built a way to answer the quintessential League of Legends question: Is it my fault, or my team's?
Look, as Teemo mains, we already know the drill. You lock in the Swift Scout, your team immediately starts flaming in champ select, you absorb the enemy jungler's global taunt for 15 minutes, and somehow it's your fault bot lane fed.
But now, you can mathematically prove that your team is the actual problem.
Here’s the reality check:
(Press "Is it me or my team?" on the menu and fill in your Riot ID) - It's completely free.
It uses data based on ~2 million games to calculate the baseline win probability of the drafts in your last 100 matches. Then, it runs a statistical analysis to see if you're actually clutching the games you're statistically expected to lose, or if you're actively griefing the highly winnable ones.
PS: I hereby issue a formal apology to all my past and future teammates. I ran my own account and it seems I am, in fact, the problem. The stats don't lie. May your queue times be short, don't find me in your lobby, and may your shrooms always catch the enemy ADC at 10% HP.
